TSM Chapter 52 - The Decision of the Brother
Edlyn lowered her face slowly while exhaling her breath hard. "I can't believe Bella loved the man" Edlyn said later, turning to the battered Daniel and spilling all her disappointment on the intoxicating drink in front of them.
"I couldn't believe it had come out of his mouth" Daniel replied, adding the bitter drink to his glass.
Edlyn just kept quiet, he did not want to make things worse, this afternoon Daniel sent him a message if he would come to pick Edlyn up before going to the store, but it was unexpected that Daniel came with a plastic bag containing drinks.
Daniel's face looked alarming, he looked uninspired and messy, Daniel suddenly just hugged him in front of the door while sobbing heartbreakingly.
“If I knew in the end he would betray me, why don't I tell him first if I've betrayed him first with mu—“
“Daniel!” Snapped Edlyn up instantly. He looked at Daniel with an angry glare, for what reason did Daniel re-discuss their false past? “Stay Bella not to know the problem Daniel, he's my best friend, I don't want to be brought in your problems.”
There was a small laugh coming out of Daniel's mouth, not a happy laugh, but a desperate laugh. “Are you sure he'll still think of you after getting that rich villain? We will never be looked upon again by Bella, Edlyn.”
“Daniel, what's wrong with you? Never mind, stop talking,” Edlyn muttered in the end, he exhaled slowly, in vain he said so to the man who was losing half his consciousness, because in the end Daniel still spoke again.
“Arabella, apparently she is not as good as I thought, I have refrained myself from always loving her without forcing Bella to do what I want. Butwhat? He betrayed me and gave it all to the man, totally hypocritical,” hissed Daniel back. Again Daniel gulped down his drink and poured the liquid back from the bottle.
Infidelity is a painful thing, but Edlyn has known Arabella for a long time, “What if Arabella lies? She said that so you wouldn't worry about her, Bella would have been threatened by the man for—“
“No Edlyn, if only the man was fat or the old man sucks, I would think so. Damn what I see, the man is handsome like a favorite actor in a movie you often watch,”, Daniel said, chuckling.
“There is no need to defend him Edlyn, I need a friend to calm me down, not to argue about impossible things,” Daniel cut off making Edlyn speechless quickly, he said, Daniel put the glass in his hand on the table. “I know Arabella can't lie, and I saw Arabella lying Arabella,” continued Daniel more calmly, now Daniel leaned her body on the back of the sofa while closing her eyes.
When silence struck the two, Daniel suddenly stared at Edlyn. “Why did you choose silence then? Why don't you get mad when I reject you and let me just stay happy with Arabella? Aren't you heartbroken?” Ask Daniel. “If I were you I'd tell Bella everything. I always hated being hurt.”
“Of course not,” replied Edlyn quickly.
“Is there a clearer reason?”
“Because I knew it was wrong, and your refusal was a consequence that I would indeed get.”
