Chapter 15 - Different Paths

After leaving the Bamboo Forest Sect, Li Yao and Tang Xinyue left to continue their journey. Apparently since the underground incident that night, several hours had passed. Now the sun has soared, accompanied by a very bright blue sky.

Their footsteps were steady, they were chatting a lot in the middle of that quiet journey. When they got to the intersection, for a moment their steps came to a halt.

They have a different direction and purpose, the separation they cannot avoid. Before parting ways with the beautiful girl, there was one thing Li Yao wanted to make sure of.

"What is your sister's grandmother named Ling Ru?" asked Li Yao.

"How do you know?" Tang Xinyue asked back. For some reason he asked that, because everyone on this land knew that fact.

"So it's true" Li Yao said then laughed out loud.

"Tang Wu, the snot boy had managed to marry his heart. Destiny is mysterious, not to be guessed."

Tang Xinyue was astonished to see Li Yao's behavior. Is this crazy kid really going crazy? Li Yao had not stopped laughing. Tang Xinyue was annoyed at feeling that the boy was insulting her grandfather.

"How's your grandma doing?" Li Yao asked after his laughter stopped.

"It's dead," Tang Xinyue replied rather sadly.

Li Yao temporarily held his tongue to speak. A minute of silence, Li Yao opened his mouth again.

"If you ever see your grandfather again. Say, Grandfather Li of the Heavenly Road Sect is proud of his achievements!" li Yao said bragging.

Although Tang Xinyue knew that Li Yao was only joking, her forehead remained folded. The girl remained irritated at Li Yao's words which seemed to disrespect her grandfather.

Tang Xinyue's hands clenched, she quickly patted Li Yao's head quite hard. The boy was in pain, a large lump appeared on his head.

"Why did you hit me on the head?" li Yao said in a beaver.

"You think I'm stupid, there's no way I'm saying that to my grandfather," Tang Xinyue replied looking angry, in fact she was holding back a smile.

"Tell me! Your grandfather would definitely be very surprised," Li Yao said, as soon as Tang Xinyue patted the lump on Li Yao's head quite loudly.

"Hey!" li Yao exclaimed as he stroked his head, not accepting such treatment. If he was at the peak of his strength, the girl would definitely not dare to treat him like that.

"It's because you've been disrespectful to my grandfather." Tang Xinyue made up an excuse.

Li Yao stared fiercely into the eyes of the girl. As her small hand dropped, Tang Xinyue suddenly again patted Li Yao's head right on the bumpy part.

"What's your problem with my head!?" li Yao snapped, he was extremely helpless against the beautiful girl.

"That's my farewell," Tang Xinyue said as she smiled brightly, as bright as the sun above the sky.

"See you, Yaoyao!" Tang Xinyue had just created a nickname for Li Yao.

Tang Xinyue quickly took a different path, they finally parted ways. Li Yao saw Tang Xinyue's back slowly disappear. Although they had just met and time with them was quite short, they were already very familiar.

Li Yao sighed then continued on his way. Every meeting must have a farewell, and vice versa. It was commonplace for Li Yao to travel frequently in his past.

The Heavenly Road Sect was above the high mountains. Before climbing the mountain, Li Yao stopped by a town below.

A hundred years did little to change that familiar little town. Li Yao immediately entered the small tavern then ordered some food. After eating and paying, he talked to the shop owner.

"Secte of the Heavenly Road? There used to be a name for such a sect. Isn't that the name of the sect up there?" said Deng Xue, the tavern owner that Li Yao entered.

"Is the sect still there?" asked Li Yao.

"Of course there is still, even though it is already very broken," replied Deng Xue, a burly man in his forties with a very thick mustache.

"really?" The information made Li Yao happy

"Secte Mountain Road, that's its name now. Doesn't that really describe the location of the sect?" said Deng Xue while stroking his bushy mustache.

"Why did they change their name?" li Yao asked curiously. So that was the reason why people did not know the name of the Heavenly Road Sect, its name had changed.

"I heard a hundred years ago, the founders of their sect conspired with the demon tribe to rule the land. After the Heavenly Alliance killed them, the Heavenly Alliance with its power told the sect to change its name as a form of their forgiveness," explained Deng Xue at length.

Li Yao's face instantly reddened, an enormous killing intent burst out from within his body.
