The Return of the Greatest Sect Leader

The Return of the Greatest Sect Leader
Chapter 36 ~ A Bunch of Bald Men

Li Yao's head automatically turned towards the back. Just behind his back a small girl suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Who else would the little girl be if not Tao Yuhan.

It was rather strange to see Tao Yuhan within the sect. All this time Li Yao had only seen him during the night in the forest behind the sect.

The afternoon sun struck her sweet figure. Now Li Yao could look at Tao Yuhan's appearance more closely. The little girl had black colored hair that flowed gently up her back. His skin was pale white, as if he was sick.

Her small face was extremely cute and adorable, it was incompatible with her flat expression. His eyeballs were pitch-black, but sometimes Li Yao could see a thin vertical streak of purple within.

The presence of Tao Yuhan until now remained unfeasible to Li Yao. That was the reason Li Yao had always been surprised by his often sudden presence.

"What is my brother doing here?" li Yao asked interrogating, he was curious what kind of answer Tao Yuhan would give.

"I was summoned here by my father," Tao Yuhan replied.

"Oh, so who's your father?" Li Yao continued to ask.

"Continent Sect, Tao Zhen!" said Tao Yuhan without saying stale.

Li Yao's brows were slightly raised, clearly he was astonished by Tao Yuhan's honest reply.

"So that time you lied! Big Brother said Sect Chief isn't Brother's Dad."

"Should he raise me up to be a child," Tao Yuhan replied shamelessly.

Li Yao could only roll his eyeballs, not angry at all with the ridiculous lie uttered by Tao Yuhan. At least Li Yao knew the real truth.

Shortly after, Li Yao and Tao Yuhan had already entered the Sect Chief's room. Just before the two of them, Tao Zhen along with the four elders were sitting waiting for the arrival of himself and Tao Yuhan.

The five of them immediately informed and explained the contents of the letter carried by Gao Ming. After listening to him, more or less Li Yao understood the situation they were facing.

The letter contained the request of the Blue Cloud City residents, for the Mountainous Road Sect to send someone to the southern region of the city, then hunt down the dangerous monsters that roamed around there.

Of course there were rewards, but Li Yao was not interested at all. The reward was only crumbs compared to his wealth.

In order to resolve that dangerous request, the Sect Chief and the Elders would definitely have no choice but to use Tao Yuhan. Li Yao was well aware of this, the Tao Yuhan was probably the strongest person in this dilapidated sect.

Ignoring their titles, Tao Zhen and the four elders were weak warriors. Their cultivation level had only reached the stage of forming core Qi, whereas Tao Zhen was at the stage of building a foundation.

Compared to that, until now Li Yao had not been able to see the true cultivation of Tao Yuhan.

The little girl is still full of mystery.

So that was the explanation of the first mission Li Yao received. He will hunt down monsters that plague the citizens, along with Tao Yuhan. Tomorrow morning is the day of his departure. Tonight Li Yao was ordered to rest to the maximum.

The next day, Li Yao and Tao Yuhan immediately left the sect gate and walked down the mountain. Behind the backs of the two of them, the Sect Chief and the Elders restlessly saw their departure.

It seemed that the five old men were very worried about the safety of Li Yao and Tao Yuhan.

It didn't take long, the figures of Li Yao and Tao Yuhan vanished in the descent swallow of the stairs. The five old men immediately sighed.

Although the figures of his two little students were not visible, they still stood staring at the rest of the departure of the two little children while hoping, hopefully, the children survived the mission.

The long descent of the stairs was desolate, looking nothing but them. Li Yao simply wanted to break the silent atmosphere between himself and Tao Yuhan.

"Why is my relationship with my father not good?" Tao Yuhan asked back.

"It looks like it is indeed like that," Li Yao replied, he remembered the moment they faced Sect Chief.

Back then Tao Yuhan was just standing with his flat face as usual. There were no ripples on the girl's face when she met her father.

Tao Yuhan only spoke when answering the questions that were thrown at him

Which 13-year-old girl is acting like that to her parents? Considering Tao Yuhan lives alone in the forest, maybe that's why he hates his father.

"Am I weird? What should I do when I meet my father?" tao Yuhan asked, glancing at the boy on his right.

"Is Brother unconscious? Big Brother's attitude is far from normal children." Li Yao did not expect, if the little girl was unconscious with her own attitude.

"A normal child will be enthusiastic when he meets his father."

"Oh, so."

Tao Yuhan was silent for a moment before asking again.

"How to be enthusiastic?"

Li Yao's eyes widened, astonished by the statement made by Tao Yuhan. What kind of question is that? Li Yao sighed then patted his forehead.

"Sister is weird. This time I believe that Big Brother's relationship with the Sect Chief is fine." Li Yao instantly concluded.

"You seem very clever and think often" Tao Yuhan said suddenly.

"It doesn't look like I'm a genius in almost every field." Li Yao bragged.

After hearing Li Yao's arrogant statement, Tao Yuhan immediately shook her head. A thin line of cynical smiles rose on her sweet face, only this time did Li Yao see the little girl smiling.

"You shouldn't think too much, thinking will only make you suffer more."

Honestly speaking, Li Yao was somewhat surprised to see that smile. Especially after he listened to the words spoken by Tao Yuhan. Li Yao could feel an extremely strong emotion within that remark.

Silent, then occasionally talking. That's how they keep coming down the stairs.

Before undergoing the mission, Li Yao and Tao Yuhan had to stop by the city administrator's office. They needed to report, that they received a request to hunt monsters.

The city office is a two-story building that is quite large and spacious. In front of the office door, Li Yao and Tao Yuhan saw a group of men enter the office before them.

The appearance of the group of men was very striking. They were all bald, and dressed in a thin plain white cloth like a hermit. They seemed to be from the White Sea Monastery.

"Hey, baldy! Why did you guys sneak in and not line up behind us?" said Tao Yuhan annoyed.
