The Rival Beside Me

The Rival Beside Me
Dinner

One Year Later

Lala focuses on working while occasionally paying attention to people who pass by shopping when there are no customers who go to the airport.

The clock shows at 22:00 making Lala close her initials as a cashier. Working time is done.

" La, there's someone who wants to see you." Said the Head of the Cashier section as soon as Lala finished changing her uniform and wearing ordinary clothes.

" Who is Ms Ran?" Ask curiously.

" What is clearly one of Suoer Market's important people." Bu Rani's words made Lala even more curious.

Finally, it looks old woman wearing formal clothes so that it seems so formal but elegant, even though it already looks elderly. He approached me.

" Are you Shabila?" Ask her.

" It's true." Lala said confused what to call him.

" I'm honestly happy to see your full absence this year on employee attendance. And you know every year we pick an employee who achieves that and has a chance to have dinner with me?" It obviously made Lala surprised. Even his greeting earlier did not bother him. Especially about his presence as an employee turned out to be assessed. Though all this time Lala was aware, she went to work continuously because she was uncomfortable with all the things that disturbed her both at home and campus. So his mind just kept working so.

" Sorry. I honestly don't know Mom." Lala was still confused.

He immediately laughed.

" Honestly I see you like I see my granddaughter's version of a girl. Because I have two grandchildren and my grandchildren are all boys.

So just call grandma." He was clearly friendly. It was as if he had known Lala for a long time

" Sorry. But I honestly feel like I should say hello like that. Considering you are the owner of this company. And I'm not good with the views of the other employees either." Lala said innocently while looking at the situation around. Employees and employees who looked envious looked at Lala's current position.

" It doesn't matter. You need not hesitate and afraid to be considered to seek attention with the owner of this company. And honestly I want you not to be this formal . Come on!" Invite him to hold Lala's hand.

Lala's surprised. Lala did not think that the dinner in question was tonight. Inevitably, Lala followed in his footsteps. And get on his car.

We sat in the back together.

" Are you just focused on working ?" Ask him to open the conversation.

" No, Grandma. I'm still in college majoring in Management." Obviously Lala played her hand. A little tough, considering she's the mother of the main director of the Supermarket where she works.

" So you go to college and work? It must not be easy for you. Very disciplined." He turned to look towards Lala.

" Thank you for the compliment. But honestly I may not be as good as your judgment." Lala said lowly.

" no. I'm good at judging people." Say it while laughing.

" But I'm really proud there are still students as tough and independent as you are today. Very different from my grandson. He even just likes to have fun with girls without commitment. The other is smart but very stubborn. He is almost three heads. The other one is still in college like you. But often come home at night. I don't know where I was. His father was worried. Moreover, they are the successors of the family company. It really disappointed me a little. Sorry to make you listen to my complaint. Seeing your independence reminds me of my grandchildren." He smiled at Lala.

" It's okay, Grandma." Answer Lala.

They did not feel like they had reached his residence. A large house with elegant nuances.

" Come on, kid! Let's just say I'm your grandmother." Invite him with his friendliness even again holding Lala's hand.

Lala really doesn't believe any of this. After a year ago, He complained to God, even He still has not accepted the loss of the people He loves in his life. It turns out that God is now sending affection, which is a little described from an elderly woman who is now holding her hand.

Lala entered the family's main room. No wonder, the house seems luxurious and large. This is often encountered while watching Korean dramas. The difference is just a more classic scenery with Indonesian characteristics more dominating.

He paused for a moment when he arrived at a room. It looks like the dining room. Because the cutlery looks neatly arranged in a long spell reasoned white cloth and some flower vases decorate the table. Makes the view more beautiful when seen.

He put his foot back. And sit down and let Lala sit down too.

A household assistant was seen entering this room. He carries a tray containing Indonesian specialties.

"Nina MBA. Are my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter home?" He asked the assistant to look at him with respect.

" I'm sorry Mrs Ratih. Pak Ikhsan and Bu Dewi just came out earlier. The only one in the house is your grandchild." A family greeting. It made Lala judge the figure of a rich person who is friendly to everyone, including his subordinates.

" Then call my granddaughter to join us for dinner." Saying Her.

" Ok Madam. "  Mba Nina lowered her head then walked out of the room.

He seemed to allow a little seating.

" Sorry. Only me and my granddaughter can accompany you to dinner tonight."

" It doesn't matter, Grandma. I've been quite happy for the award you gave me." Say Lala politely.

" Don't be like that. It is our custom as gratitude for employee loyalty to the company We manage. But I really fit your nature. I hope sometime you can still accept my invitation personally instead of in the name of the supermarket." He obviously surprised Lala.

" Of course I'd be happy to accept the invitation you mean." Lala replied very deeply.

The temporary silence struck. They were waiting for her grandson who had not been seen to enter the room. Only the housekeeper was seen back and forth preparing our dinner. Lala looked down at the table. It feels uncomfortable if the view is everywhere, while eating dinner with his superior family at work.

" Neck's Night." The bass sound of a guy who feels familiar. It made Lala look up at her face, slowly towards the origin of the voice.

Lala saw a man standing at the door and greeting her Grandma. He is definitely the grandson He meant.

He looked cold and haughty looking at Lala. It was very different from her grandmother who was full of smiles and friendly towards her. His face was no stranger to him.

" You've come. Be seated! " Say her Grandma.

He seemed to obey his grandmother and sat right in front of me.

" This is Lala the employee who got the award this year for dinner with our family." He looked at Lala and looked at her grandson.

Lala stand.

" shabila. It's such an honor to have this dinner together." Lala said then lowered her head and sat back down.

" Andra."

" I hope you're not too high-minded to get an award from us." Even with his sitting position.

Lala smiled at her words.

'Don't you know I didn't even know there was this kind of award. I know from the past that awards, trophies at school. And if you work, you should get a salary bonus. That definitely makes more sense.' Lala's grouse in her heart.

Really He's a very bad guy attitude - his. Just look at his words alone are arrogant let alone his attitude. Lala never imagined it. It turns out there are guys who are more doubtful than Rise. Although these were his eleven twelve martial attitudes.
