" You really were just my rival in the past. No more than that." Obviously Lala was trying to convince Bersikan.
" really? But why do you remember me so much? Did you hold feelings for me first?"
" Absolutely not." Lala's lying.
Rise up not so easily to believe it. He still looked at Lala's eyes full of search.
" You, ... "
But the words of the Rise were cut off because the vibration of the phone was nailed to his suit. Rise up to turn off the phone. But when he saw who was calling him. He also decided to answer.
Rise immediately shifts the phone symbol on the screen. Then he put his phone close to his ear.
" You're finally answering." Father's Voice.
" What's up, Dad?"
" Should Dad ask, Where are you? Andra said you've come home from the USA." His father spoke at length.
" I'm helping Om David. Replacing his temporary duties while simultaneously learning."
" You're too cute with Devina. Your own father's company you didn't help." Omel Mr. Sanjaya.
" I'm sorry Dad, I'm not a bucin. I was just curious about his company Om David who Dad used to be proud of."
" So you got quiet and stayed in the apartment?"
" I just don't want to see Brother Andra yet."
Lala looked surprised to hear that.
' Andra?'
Lala immediately slipped out of the room when Bangkit looked busy calling.
Rise right into a glance looking towards the seat. Lala is no more. He immediately picked up the remote automatic window of his room. And Lala's been seen sitting at work.
"Dam. That's fast." Chirps Arise spontaneously.
" The brash kid. Show call shit to his dad." An annoyed tone sounded from his father's voice.
" Not Dad. That means..."
" Dad not want to know. Today also go home. Your grandmother's already worried."
Phone is immediately closed.
Rise up looking annoyed and close the window of his study again.
' Maybe with me going home. Lost memories can come back to full.' The Risen Thought encourages itself.
Again the sound of his cellphone rang but not from his father but from Devina.
...***...
Lala was daydreaming, her mind was unfocused.
How could he be returned to his past position. Where He did not want the Rise to exist in the next life after graduating from college. Although He had felt lost when he knew the broken home life that Risen naturally. Until wild racing became his hobby. But the fact is that it seems better now. Rise up more mature and focus on facing life.
Lala thought for a moment, after all He did not want to be a third party in the relationship of the Risen and her lover. Disappearing from the current company is the best path. Lala packed her things. He glanced at the window of the closed Rise room.
A note He left on the table along with a resignation letter, which has not been signed by Bangkit as a replacement for Mr. David temporarily. Lala put her foot up. He heads to Vira and her office friends to say goodbye.
" Sister Lala..." Everyone feels unwilling.
Lala waved her hand and headed to the elevator and basement where her car was parked.
He called Sani as per their agreement. That they would meet to discuss about Lala's dream venture.
Lala went straight to their treaty place.
" Lala! Hey." Call Sani who has already ordered the table.
Lala smiled and approached Sani.
Lala's surprised. But the rice has become porridge. He also resigned from the company.
" So the investment funding my dad has. That's just 50 percent, 50 percent of them have Sanjaya Group which happens to be currently held by Andra." Sani.
" So, you don't want to work with Andra. And if you want to be 100 percent. Be Andra's lover. According to my father Andra was a royal and bucolic man if you could conquer him. But it turns out he doesn't like to commit."
" What???" Lala was shocked half to death hearing this crazy thing from Sani.
" La, Andra will not commit. If you can conquer Him for that 50 percent investment. Why not?"
" After that?" Lala doesn't know Sani's mind
" Leave." Sani's advice drives Lala crazy.
" You are so crazy." Lala nagging.
" It's called sacrificing himself in a tiger cage. " Add Lala.
" Not to see his sister yet. Looks like I'm looking for another solution just San. That's not a good idea." Lala held her forehead. Obviously he looks confused. Sometimes the plan is not as you wish.
" I'm sorry La. I really don't know the origin of the funding my father meant. It's worth it when it's a match for me with Andra." Complain Sani.
Lala thought back. His mind was suddenly in chaos. Not to mention her stepmother's problems that made her even more chaotic. After opening a restaurant and going bankrupt.
Flash Back a week ago.
Lala's coming home from work. He looks tired.
" I have something to talk to you about."
Lala sat down and listened.
" What is that ?"
" Sir Bagas proposed to you."
Lala looks shocked.
" Aditama Group is big on La." Added his stepmother.
Her stepmother, once again persuaded Lala to marry a wealthy widower. But Lala still remained on the same answer, rejecting it. Her stepmother talked. As a child, Lala should have shown devotion to her parents. Until finally the word that should not be spoken or can be said deliberately spoken ejected.
" You're only Lala's adopted son, so be devoted to your father."
“I also recently found out La. Your mother found you somewhere." Her mother began to explain.
“I? Where?” Ask Lala. Then try to laugh. As if that wasn't true.
“Mother must have deliberately said this so that I would marry by choice Mom.” Added Lala.
“Alright if that's what you think. Just take your dad's hair and do a DNA test. Don't you remember asking about which hospital you were born in? Your father looked tense and couldn't answer. I kept asking and finally He admitted it” Obviously his stepmother.
Lala stepped into her room with heavy steps. An absurd story had just been heard. This was definitely impossible, everything was just sheer nonsense that her stepmother had deliberately created to shake her heart. Why does it all feel real. Even his father looks different now. He believed more in the words of his stepmother.
Flash back the end.
" I guess I'll just follow your advice. " Suddenly Lala's mind became shallow.
" Are you sure?" Sani did not want Lala to regret her decision.
Lala nodded with confidence.
" Okay, tomorrow you'll meet my father at the office. I'll keep you company." Sani.
After eating, they went straight home.
Stress makes Lala moment stop by a park on the edge of town near the beach. Many times the phone rings. But Lala ignored him. He sits on the beach. Feeling tired and saturated makes Lala feel like giving up. It feels like he is alone in this world. No one understands himself.
A smile bloomed on his face, as He saw the twilight right before him. He wanted to go back to his childhood. Where He has no burden of life. But now the question arises in Lala's mind. Who are her real parents?
