Chapter 25 (LavCo)

Rocco still hugged Lavia and Lavia returned the hug by wrapping her hands around Rocco's waist.

"Sorry" Lavia whispered.

Rocco said nothing and still hugged Lavia.

"Can I help you?" ask Rocco.

Lavia shook her head in Rocco's arms.

Then Lavia let go of her embrace and then resumed her work.

"Prepare because after this we will go to meet aunty" Lavia said.

"Hmm," said Rocco turned and walked towards his room.

"I'll get out of here after we talk to aunty" Lavia continued and stopped Rocco's move.

Lavia dried her hands using a tissue and turned towards her room.

"You can stay here if you want. And you can work for the company" Rocco said.

"No need, I'm going back to Australia" Lavia replied smiling and passing through Rocco.

Rocco held his hand until they faced each other.

"Isn't this what you want, Rocco? Help me take my rights away from Sammy, and then I won't appear in front of you again" Lavia said.

"Is that all you want?" ask Rocco.

"Yes, at least I can see they have nothing and live poor" Lavia replied.

Rocco was still looking towards Lavia.

Lavia took Rocco's hand off and entered his room.

"What's wrong with me? I should be relieved, shouldn't I?"rocco muttered to himself.

"What's? You guys aren't getting married?" the Velvet's face looked disappointed by Rocco's and Lavia's decision.

"Sorry, Aunty. But it's a misunderstanding and I don't want to make things more complicated. So I can't continue with this wedding plan. If aunty wants me to press conference, then I'll do it" Lavia said.

Velvet was still silent and Damon just followed whatever the wife's decision would be.

"Well if that's what you two want. Mommy can't force this either. But can you stay with Rocco, Lavia?" velvet held Lavia's hand.

"I'm going back to Australia, Aunty" Lavia said.

"That's my wish. I want you to stay in this town so I can keep a close eye on you" Velvet said.

"Aunty's too good for me. But I can take care of myself because before I was always independent and living alone" Lavia replied.

"That's why aunty doesn't want you to go back to Australia" Velvet said.

"Aunty knew your mother a long time ago and that's what I found out when we investigated your background" Velvet said.

Lavia remained silent and listened to Velvet's story.

Rocco and Damon also listen to Velvet's story.

"We went to a juvenile prison when we were teenagers. You don't know about this story, do you? Because it's a dark past for us. Rocco doesn't even know this story because my husband and I never talked about it at all" Velvet said.

"He came out first than I did. But when I came out, I lost track of him because he moved overseas after his grandmother died. Finding you was so heartbreaking because at least I was able to continue my intention to help her through you" Velvet said.

"Is he so pathetic first?" lavia asked with a stifled voice.

Velvet still held Lavia's hand.

"Everyone must have had their darkest moments in life" Velvet said.

"But not with him, I think during his life there was only darkness with no light at all" Lavia said.
