CHAPTER 27: THE LIGHT OF THE HUNTERS

“Come bastard!”

Heros shouted, so dark and gripping magic energy was overpowering him and his sword blade had decapitated Goliath Ogre who was charging at Yohan. In just a few seconds, he could bring them down. Yohan was flabbergasted at this state of affairs.

Yohan was relieved that help had arrived. But it was unexpected that the favor was a madman who was now killing the monsters that were advancing mercilessly. Although their skills were different, it could clearly be felt that their attributes were opposite.

In Yohan's body there is something that makes her hot when she feels Heros' magic power. Like seeing a victim...

Yohan shook her head and resuscitated the delusion.

Although they differ in attributes they are associates. You could say so. Yohan silently watched the brutal battleground.

His [Sword Master Legendary] skill was a high martial skill which reached the final and perfect stage of the swordsmanship. However, why does it seem that Heros is more talented using a sword than he is.

Heros and Yohan were only a little over a year late and just like the name of the skill was supposed to be Yohan superior. But not so Heros appeared and awakened his potential.

Yohan's gaze came down and she muttered. “He is more suitable to be a barbarian master than a sword master.”

“Hey, will you let me fight them alone?”

“I think you're having fun because that's why I'm not interrupting.”

Heros frowned and cursed softly, “If you were not Hyung from Alvius then would I—!”

The attack came next and interrupted Heros's sentence. Heros sword blade gathered the dark ether energy and shot it towards the damn monster that was bothering him and blew it up.

“Wow, you are absolutely crazy.”

There was an unfriendly smile between them. And the two of them secretly cursed at each other in their minds.

“Haha, thank you for the compliment even if I don't need.”

“Consider your way if you don't want to be destroyed.”

They continued their cruel chatter while crushing the monsters blocking their way to stare at each other sharply at the sign of hostility.

Devil Sabnock was confused by the situation. They seem to be in trouble but they also seem to be in no trouble. The Sabnock Devil did not understand that at all and kept on telling his troops to come forward against the two fools.

Then from afar something stared at these two fools who were arguing.

[‘Monarch of Diligent’ take a hard look at you!]

[‘Master Faithful’ watching you!]

That look was more murderous than the monsters before them. Their bodies flinched and they did not dare to look back and continued to continue their stable perfoma of attacks.

The demon monsters in front of the zone were growing more and more every second they destroyed the monsters. Devil Sabnock not only deployed Goliath ogre anymore. The ones advancing now were [Giant Goblin] and [Crawling Head Wolf] for close range. While the one from earlier shot Heros with a magic attack was the [Flying Minion Demon].

Heros was overwhelmed withholding fire from the [Flying Minion Demon] complaining loudly.

“Bags how many they are!?”

“They are growing every second. If it wasn't for Alvius' blessing then I'd be dead. My healing was not as fast and instant but I had to endure.”

“You should think that this is the only way out instead.”

“My magic power also has a limit if it is like this between me or the exhausted Alvius.”

Heros realized that all this time he had also received that blessing. He could not linger and drain the energy of his and Alvius' unknowingly.

While Yohan continued to withstand the attacks of [Giant Goblin] with their steel blunt swords and still this was hard as against [Goliath Ogre] but this time it was slightly leaning fatter. Then there was the [Crawling Head Wolf] with their claws quietly entering his gap of vision.

Dodging and attacking simultaneously is difficult even though he is a good hunter.

[Skill ‘King of Light (M)’ has been activated!]

Once again the terror of light roared with a powerful radiance and destroyed the swarm of monsters in front of it and burned away their upper bodies.

Krack!

Yohan looked towards her sword. This sword was his last weapon and now it was cracked and almost broke. He bit his lips and thought of another way. Butwhat?

Using the [King of Light] consumed a lot of magic power and if he were to take it out once more, he was sure it would collapse within the range of that second as well.

Not only that. Even without looking back Yohan knew. That Alvius was struggling to inject his energy into himself so that he could survive.

Without Alvius he would not have come this far in defense. And the time said was already over ten minutes. Does he have to back off?

His sword was shrieking loudly.

Yohan chose to go forward and once again the light flashed on the cracked blade and killed even more monsters in front of her.

Heros with his black mist continued to dodge and floated in the air to take down the [Flying Minion Demon] who shot at him with a painful magic spear. The impact of a magic attack was greater than a physical attack, so his opponent was suitable for him who had the passivity to fly with his fog aura.

But it wasn't long and just for a few seconds, he had to fall and then fly again. It's between him fighting and defending in two places between air and land.

And when he does that, he looks like a kangaroo.

“Dead bastard!”

[Skill ‘Predator of Curse (L)’ has been activated!]

His sword swung ferociously and slaughtered the aerial creature swiftly. Heros' body was covered in black blood. Then he stomped his sword to the ground and again rushed to support Yohan from the air attack.

“How long can you last?”

“I think soon my sword will be destroyed.”

“I will help you from their air fight kill as many as you can then retreat once your sword is destroyed.”

“Are you crazy?! You don't see even though we slaughter and continue killing them is endless. And again I'm not sure if their number decreases after we kill them.”

“...I know, but what if you and I fail. If that's the back defense will be breached and everyone will die.”

Thas right. Unimaginably if they failed then everyone's expectations would fade as well. And Alvius was also behind, if Johan stopped and retreated and handed it to Heros alone. Then it shattered their hopes even before fighting the demon that was riding the Bicorn.

“Is there no idea?”

“Skill is mine [Predator of Curse] killing monsters and turning their dark energy into mine, but that's it. Like I returned their power to double it. I had a joker card inside my Skill. Now I can activate it.”

[Skill ‘Darkness Festival (L)’ has been activated!]

However, immediately with a ringing sound inside Heros' head. The next message appeared to him.

[Skill Activation forcibly canceled you can't use Skill ‘Darkness Festival (L)’]

The chain had tied the skill temporarily.

‘Alvius why!?’

[‘Master Faithful’ prohibits you from using that Skill!]

His only hope and the only way out he could think of would be to save them all had been forcibly stopped before he could even follow through.

Heros and Yohan are forced to continue this without any joker cards in their plans. A swarm of monsters continuously came and rushed to prey on them.

“Eat, eat, eat!”

[Crawling Head Wolf] quietly passed through the other monsters and sharpened their claws. Yohan who was holding it back was overwhelmed with encouragement. Their swords and claws collided and produced small sparks of fireworks.

Yohan continued to guard and hold him she looked at her sword which slowly creaked and then it broke into pieces and fell to the ground. Yohan's eyes widened and saw that a claw was already in front of her nose.

“Awas!”

Swush!

Heros came in with a lousy state and went in over the claws then cut the [Crawling Head Wolf] arm in half.

“Retreat!”

“I can't leave you stupid!”

“If you're here then we'll both be in trouble!”

“Why didn't you activate the skill you were referring to earlier?!”

“Cannot... Alvius won't let me use it.”

Then Yohan looked back and looked for Alvius. He did not know what yet he had to send his feelings to the only person who could do something to this situation. However, his messages had been rejected and answered like this.

[‘Monarch of Diligent’ says to you not to interfere.]

[‘Monarch of Diligent’ cannot approve activation of the skill.]

[‘Monarch of Diligent’ says... It was dangerous for Heros.]
