The Seed of the Cassanova

The Seed of the Cassanova
BSC 175 (S3 Part 18)

As usual, every morning before the office, Jevian would accompany Jefrey on a walk to the park next to the hospital. Similarly, this morning, in a navy shirt suit and milk-brown pants, Jevian pushed Jefrey's wheelchair into the hospital park. Accompanied by a painting jar, Jefrey enjoys the fresh morning air and the warm morning sun that has just risen above radiates its rays.

"Daddy, you want a balloon" Jefrey said when she saw a patient her age holding a balloon in her hand.

Jevian dizzy looking for where the balloon seller was, but Jevian did not find it.

"But daddy doesn't know where to sell it, Jef."

"You're a balloon, anyway Jef wants a balloon, daddy," whine Jefrey made Jevian a fog.

"Daddy wants to go, but who are you here? Or Jef go back to the room first, yeah. Later daddy will buy the balloon," said Jevian persuaded the son.

But Jefrey shook his head quickly, "no, Jef wants to be here," Jefrey's cluck made Jevian sigh.

He spread his gaze around, then he saw Roseline walking with a cleaning tool in her right hand. While his left hand seemed to wipe the sweat that poured. Looks like he just finished his work somewhere.

"Seline," cried Jevian, but Roseline walked indifferently.

"Seline," call Jevian again, but it looks like Roseline didn't hear.

Ah, actually he did not not hear, but he forgot and was not used to it. From childhood to adulthood called Rose, obviously when someone called her last name made her not aware of it. She changed her nickname to forget her sad past.

"Seline," call Jevian again while holding Roseline's shoulder makes Roseline reflectively catch Jevian's hand and twist it. The unprepared Jevian was instantly stunned when his hand was already behind his body.

"Seline, it's me, Jevian" said Jevian again making Roseline blink her eyes several times, then he bought her eyes.

"Good, sorry, sir. Im sorry. I don't know" said Roseline, who immediately released her hand. He immediately felt guilty.

Jevian flicked his hand. In Jevian's heart cursed, even though Roseline was a woman, but her strength turned out to be quite strong. It is also quite agile and reactive.

"What's wrong. I've called you several times, you didn't hear or pretend you didn't hear?" jevian asked with a probing look.

Roseline scratched the base of her nose, instead of not hearing or pretending not to hear, but indeed she did not realize that the one called was her. He forgot that yesterday said his call was Seline.

"Sorry sir, maybe it's because I'm in a hurry, so don't hear your call," Roseline said.

Jevian nodded, "are you still busy?"

"Actually not really. I just finished my last job on this side, at 10's I'm just in charge of cleaning the room on the right wing of this hospital."

Jevian nodded his head, "em, since you're not busy, may I ask you a favor?"

"Yes? Please what?"

"That's my son, Jefrey asked to buy a balloon. But I don't see any sellers around here. I'd like to try looking outside. But no one's accompanying Jefrey when I get out. Leaving Jefrey alone in the park didn't calm me down either. So ... may I ask your help to accompany my son for a moment, please?" melas Jevian's.

Roseline's brows were linked, then her gaze turned to Jefrey who was sitting in a wheelchair not far from her place. Feeling unbearable, Roseline nodded.

"Or put it this way, sir, what if I were the only one who ... "

"No, there's no need. Just let me. You must be tired so you better sit in that long chair while accompanying Jefrey, is that okay?"

Roseline nodded. Jevian smiled broadly. Before leaving, Jevian said goodbye to his son to buy him what he wanted.

...***...

"Hi handsome," said Roseline to Jefrey, who had been silent since.

Jefrey lifted her face, "hi aunty," Jefrey replied stammered.

"You going there?" ask Roseline while pointing towards the bottom of the mango tree which is quite lush.

Jefrey nodded, smiling Roseline pushed Jeffrey's wheelchair under the mango tree.

"You want this?" bargaining Roseline while thrusting a lollipop in front of Jefrey made the boy's eyes sparkle.

"This is for Jefrey?"

Jefrey nodded. Roseline opened the package and handed the lollipop to Jefrey.

"Thank you, aunty."

"Together handsome."

Roseline smiled at Jefrey's sweet smile. I don't know how long he hasn't smiled. Maybe last time when he was still working with Delena.

Delena often invites him to tell stories. There is a sense of comfort when close to him, but unfortunately now that closeness will not happen again. And all because of his mistake. He was too stupid to be consumed by the deceit of a man he thought was uncle, but turned out to be his own biological father.

"Hows it? Yummy?"

"Enak aunty's. Aunty works here?"

Roseline nodded.

"Aunty's grown up and still likes to eat candy like this?" jefrey asked in surprise because only children like lollipops.

"Because it's sweet," replied Roseline diplomatically. His life was bitter from childhood, so it made Roseline a habit of eating lollipops to make her feelings better. "Oh yeah, Jefrey's sick?"

"Jefrey is sick here, Aunty," said Jefrey, pointing to his chest."

Roseline's eyes are breaking. He did not expect this small child could suffer from heart-related diseases. Although Roseline can't guess what disease the boy is suffering from, Roseline can see that the little boy is not just plain sick.

"Jefrey must be a great kid."

"Why?"

"Because it can withstand the pain there continue to be silent without crying. If Aunty's sick, uh, surely aunty's gonna cry. Here aunty whispered something," and then Roseline whispered something into Jefrey's ear making Jefrey chuckle.

"So aunty was a crybaby," he said, making Roseline's eyes bulldoze and then pulling her index finger to the front of her lips.

"Shh ... Someone will hear."

"Aunty lost there Jef. Jef's not a whiny."

"Because Jef's a great kid."

"But Jef is sick."

"Aunty's sure, Jef's gonna get well soon. Trust me aunty."

"really?"

"really. Jefrey believes what Aunty said?"

"Jefrey," exclaimed someone who made Jefrey's cheerful face dimmed immediately.

"Aunty, take Jef to Jef's room, please!" please Jefrey.

"But ... "

"Please!"

"Jef, here. Mommy. Mommy wants ... "

"I beg Madam, don't scare Jefrey. Your actions could scare Jefrey."

"Who are you? Don't interfere. Better just do your job. There go!"

"No, aunty. Get Jef out of here. Jef, don't want to see him."

"Jef, "call Eve again. "Mommy ..."

"I don't have a mommy. You're not mommy Jef. Jef hates mommy," Jefrey choked, making Roseline suddenly worried. He immediately pushed the wheelchair away, hoping Eve would not catch up with them.
