"You know, when I told her about me proposing to you through a message, she laughed at me instead. Then I swore he would experience the same thing, even worse. He ... proposed to Gladys through inbox and dm messages," Rainero said, chuckling as he recalled how his friend and personal assistant had proposed to the girl he liked.

"Well! Just be right. Why inbox and dm? There's no better way what?" shenina asked inexhaustibly.

"Not without reason, it was then that Gladys suddenly blocked his mobile number. After Axton asks someone for information, it turns out that Gladys was forced to marry the son of a loan shark. Shenina widened her eyes when she heard Rainero say, "really? But why didn't Gladys tell us that?"

Rainero spread his shoulders, "maybe he's embarrassed or doesn't want to make you think about him. Especially if you're pregnant. Maybe that's one of the reasons."

"But what about Gladys, my husband. What if he really married a man he didn't like, didn't even recognize?"

Flashback a few days earlier,

Axton who somehow that day suddenly always thought Gladys was trying to contact the girl who had secretly stolen his heart. But these days Gladys is hard to contact. Then suddenly the number really could not be reached and Axton just realized that the number had been blocked.

"Ck, fuck. Why is my number suddenly blocked?" Curious why Gladys had suddenly disappeared, Axton asked someone to find out where Gladys was. Until the unexpected fact that another week the girl he likes is getting married, making Axton really frustrated.

He saw, there is still his last history when praising Gladys photo story that is very beautiful when wearing a Bridesmaids dress at the wedding of Shenina and Rainero. Without much ado, he immediately sent Gladys a message.

[Gladys, marry me!] write Axton.

But the message did not get a response. But when looking at online status, Axton was sure that Gladys had read the message just now. He hurried to write back the message and send it.

[Gladys, do you want to marry me?]

But unfortunately, when the second message was sent, Gladys was suddenly not online anymore.

Undeterred, Axton opened his ig app and wrote a message to Gladys.

[Gladys, do you want to marry me?]

A minute, 10 minutes, even an hour passed, but Gladys did not return the favor. Until suddenly in the middle of the night, a direct message entered his phone. As he checked, it turned out to be a reply message from Gladys.

[Sorry, but I'll be married in a few days.]

[Do you love that man?]

Write Axton, but Gladys doesn't reply.

[Not returning means no. Give me an answer immediately! If you say yes, then I will go there immediately to stop the marriage, then take his place as your future husband. Hows it? The decision is in your hands.]

Getting that reply, Axton is happy not to play. So that night, by borrowing a private plane owned by Rainero, Axton immediately flew to Bali. Since he was using a private plane, they did not need to make a transit.

Upon arrival in Indonesia or rather the island of Bali, regardless of his fatigue, Axton immediately met the family of the bridegroom. Axton is undaunted by the man he knows is Gladys' future husband's father. He will solve the problem of debt if there is one.

His son has a condition called Down syndrome that makes him still like a child despite his age of 30 years. Any woman would be willing to be with her son if she did not take this path. Not even Gladys and his family knew. They kept all of that a secret so that Gladys could not refuse her son.

Then now, suddenly there was a foreign man who said he wanted to pay off the debts of Gladys' father, obviously making him cranky.

"Yes, why? You can't afford it, can you not pay?"

Hearing the disparaging sentence from the man made Axton laugh. Then he asked a lawyer who he had asked to come before coming here to prepare a letter of agreement.

"I'll pay it off soon, but before that, sign this affidavit!"

At first the man refused, but thanks to Axton's intimidation, the man was forced to surrender.

Day H wedding.

All this morning Gladys looked glum. Since his communication with Axton 2 nights ago, Axton suddenly disappeared like swallowed by the earth. This morning was her wedding day. But Axton didn't give any news to make him desperate.

"Where's your promise? You said you'd be here soon, but what proof? You just disappeared. You're a liar," Inner Gladys.

Her hands squeezed the wedding dress she was wearing. His hopes are really broken. Though he had hoped Axton came to save him from this marriage he did not want. But Axton just disappeared, making it powerless to hold tightness in his chest.

"Sister, your bride is waiting for you at the altar" said Gladys' sister.

Gladys who was daydreaming all the way to the altar was jolted. With a flat face he approached the man standing behind him.

Cheers and applause greeted his arrival. Everyone seemed happy, but she felt just the opposite.

With his head lowered, he stood behind the groom. Until a voice jolts his inner turmoil.

"Hi my bride-to-be. I kept my promise to replace her as your groom-to-be" said the man before her.

Hearing that voice, Gladys raised his face. His eyes were so wide that they glazed over. Especially when looking at the charming smile that makes Gladys unable to withstand the pounding on the chest.

"Axton, is that you?" he muttered with a hoarse voice.

Axton smiled, "yes, i'm. I'm here waiting for you."

Gladys rushed into Axton's arms. He was pleased, for the man he expected stood before him. He did not expect, the man he secretly liked had stood in the same place to take the sacred promise together.
