The Shackles of Second Love
Chapter 13

Many people believe that jealousy is a sign of love, because it is impossible for someone to feel jealous without a little taste in his heart.

Hartono loves Mia, the man admits it without hesitation.but whether his love for Mia is as great as the love he has for Sharon, Hartono does not know.

He often sees Sharon with her business colleagues who are not all female gender. Sometimes the woman meets a business partner who is a beautiful man. But strangely there was never any jealousy in Hartono when his wife was close to the opposite sex.

However, things are not the same with Mia. Hartono felt his blood boil as he watched the woman close to other men, including his own son.

Lately Mia and Fabian are indeed getting closer to each other. sometimes it provokes anxiety in Hartono, especially if he is reminded of the words Sharon who says that Mia and Fabian seem suitable.

This can't be allowed.

“Mia!”

Hartono's heavy but loud voice startled Mia and Fabian's chatter about food. The woman turned to Hartono who had just returned from his office.

“Yes, Dad?” mia's response sounded sweet in the ears. Hartono went crazy because of the sweet voice of the woman while under her confinement.

“Please make me coffee, then take it to my work space.” tell the man and go from there.

Mia was silent for a moment, then turned to look at Fabian who was still nearby.

“Sorry, Fabian. I think we can talk about it later. I have to make coffee for your father.” said Mia politely and gently.

“Ya, no problem.” replied Fabian.

The man then left Mia. And let the woman go to the kitchen to make coffee according to her father's orders. Mia smiled faintly after Fabian's departure, if she saw the look on Hartono's face earlier, it seemed that the man was being hit by jealousy.

If the estimate is correct, then Mia will be very happy.

“Maybe I have to pay attention to Fabian a lot to make my lover jealous.” Mia murmured.

Because he did not want Hartono to wait for his presence longer. She rushed to make coffee for the man. But when he just arrived in the kitchen, it turns out there is a female maid.

“Nana, what are you doing?” mia asked the maid whose age might be as good as hers.

Nana showed a surprised reaction as Mia suddenly greeted him. The young lady then turned around and looked at Mia.

From the look in his eyes Nana looks dislike Mia, and it makes Hartono's affair does not understand.

“Not your business!” ketus Nana then left Mia.

Mia was surprised by the response Nana gave, “Ha! How dare he?!” mia was upset.

Mia is really upset with Nana, even though she has nothing wrong with the woman.

“What have I done to him? He's like he's mad at me.” Mia wonders.

Hartono had intended to ignore Mia because of jealousy. But now even himself who was ignored by the woman since her arrival brought coffee.

The woman had a sour face, and seemed to be in no mood. The man had no idea what made his beloved woman look that upset.

“You why?” ask Hartono curiously.

The man pulled Mia's hand slowly and brought the woman to sit in his lap. Both of his big palms cupped both sides of Mia's face and brought the woman's focus only to him.

“What's up? Is there something that makes you uncomfortable?” asked the man with shady eyes.

Mia felt her heart tremble lightly because of the man's gaze on her. He could not dodge, he actually fell deeply into the man.

Only by being stared at like that had his heart melted. Not to mention all Hartono's treatment of him.

“So I met with Nana when I was about to make coffee.” Hartono listened carefully as Mia began to speak.

“So I asked him what he was doing, but Nana instead answered my question with a tight response.” Mia said while showing her sad face.

After telling Hartono that, Mia then hugged the man and made her head lean against the chest of the man's field. Hartono then stroked the woman's back, trying to provide comfort for Mia.

“No need to take heart, just ignore him.” said Hartono slowly.

Hearing that Mia could only nod briefly. He thought Hartono would give a reaction showing that the man would be angry, but he didn't.

Mia had too high expectations about that.

Fabian came to Laura's house to stay the night, but the woman was not there. He tried to contact Laura but there was no answer.

“You didn't see where he went?” Fabian asks Lucy, a housekeeper who works for Laura.

The girl shook her head quickly, “Miss Laura did not even say goodbye to me, Mr.” she replied with a depressed face.

Fabian let out a slow sigh, he pinched his forehead which suddenly felt dizzy. Laura must not leave without telling him, Fabian will be restless if the woman leaves without news.

“He didn't even bring a car. Where is he exactly?” ask Fabian to himself.

Right after the sentence was spoken, Laura suddenly appeared with an injured leg.

“Honey!”

Fabian ran over to Laura, “What happened to you?!” tanyanya panic.

Laura grimaced in pain while holding her knee, while Lucy ran to the back to pick up the P3K box.

“I fell down earlier while trying to pick up a cat on a tree.” he replied while trying to smile. The woman did not want her lover to worry because of the wound on her leg which was not this much.

Fabian clucked softly and then carried Laura's body without permission. He took the woman to sit on the sofa.

“Master, this.” Lucy comes up with what Fabian needs, and the man accepts her quickly.

Fabian began to clean the wound on his lover's knee carefully, although it was very slow but still Laura still felt pain.

Laura noticed the serious face of her lover who was currently blowing a scar on her knee. He smiled slightly as he was moved by the man's attention.

“Whose cat did you help?” ask Fabian.

“Cats belong to small children who live in front of this house.” replied Laura.

“By the way why are you here?” Laura asked what astonished Fabian.

“I came here to stay at my beloved's house named Laura.” she replied sounding annoyed.

Laura who heard that then laughed softly. Fabian was blown away by the woman's laughter. Moreover, seeing the face of Laura who was laughing like that made her heart cool and peaceful.

“You are beautiful when you are laughing like that.” chirps make Laura suddenly stop her laughter.

The woman covered her already flushed face in embarrassment, but Fabian immediately pulled the woman's hands together.

“Why closed? I love to see it.” Fabian said.

“I'm ashamed,” Laura said.

Fabian felt that he did not wrongly love Laura. The woman really has everything she likes. He couldn't wait to introduce his girlfriend to his parents. And he hoped they would accept Laura as his future wife.

“Honey, are you ready?” asked Fabian suddenly.

Laura frowned confusedly, “Ready? Ready where?” ask Laura.

“Ready to meet my parents.”
