The Shadow Of Princess

The Shadow Of Princess
Episode 6

My forehead shriveled to hear his voice. As if it were no stranger. "This time I'll kill you.” Threatened him to come forward and pulled out a sword. I moved swiftly then repelled his attack with a sword. His body fell

But he didn't give up. With a grimace of pain he tried to get up. His hand held the sword. I exhaled a rough breath. I looked at the figure behind the mask curiously. The all-black clothes he wore signified that he was a hitman. It seems my enemy wants my death.

In the darkness of the night no one could see my figure more clearly. So he certainly would not have thought that my form was not a full human being.

He pushed forward brandishing a sword at me. I raised the sword to resist his attack. “How? Do you still want to kill me?” Ledek.

“Damn it!” His feet are sharp. "Li Shang" I thought you would fight me with a sharp sword. But look at your sword as nothing more than rusty iron." I round my eyes in disbelief.

What did he say? The yong jian sword was nothing more than rusty iron. My mind clenches its jaws. Even lives are over the horns he still dares to provoke me. “Hei! Tell me who told you to. I'll let you go if you're honest with me." I pushed his sword until he was far away. Lasting atmosphere. I looked at him muttering to amaze me.

"Huh, this time you won't get away from me." In an instant, a chain emerged from the floor tying my legs together.

"What-What?" I stammered looking at the chains that were now wrapped around the body. I thrashed away the more I clashed the tighter the chain bond. "Ughhh!" My pain sounds like he's chuckling.

"Finally, I can kill you."

I'm trying to cut the chain with yong jian. But, my sword can't cut it. I pulled the chain forcibly but failed. Why can't Jiangshi's powers? My mind bit my lower lip in dismay.

"Why Li Shang? Does your sword not work?" Ask me. If I turn into Jiangshi the power of yong jian does not work. He snapped a finger. Once again a chain appeared from above binding my hands together.

PRANGS!

The sword in my hand fell. The chain tied me tighter, making me feel pain. My body is helpless. This damn chain sucks my energy. The sound of her footsteps echoed in my room.

I looked down weakly as my hair fell apart covering my face. Her steps stopped touching my jaw tightly. I grimaced in pain.

He raised my face to make me look perfect. His eyes were round, he was shocked.

"Jiangshi? And you're a woman? Then, where's Li Shang?" He was both nervous and surprised. He took a step back. Slowly my chain bond loosened.

I smiled and then removed the chain. He turned around to run away. I swung the sword until the mask came off. He looked surprised. “Do Jian?” Mumamku.

"Who told you to?" I asked, but he was silent and made me angry. “If you keep quiet I will kill you,” I continued but he brandished a sword. I brushed in one swing. His sword slammed far away.

“Kill me. I'm not afraid,” he said vibrating. Just now I was about to raise a sudden sword all over my body to heat up. My neck feels strangled. My thirst is crazy.

The sweet aroma from Do Jian's body tempted me. Without thinking I pushed his body down. I saw his face turn pale. Do Jian thrashed but failed. "It won't hurt. So hold on a second." I'm lirih. My sharp tar sank into Do Jian's skin. Groans of pain break the silence of the night. His blood runs down his throat.

My thirst disappeared too. “SIAL!” rutukku saw Do Jian drooping weakly. The rest of the blood seeped on his neck. I licked my former fangs so as not to wear them. Do Jian's shoulders went up and down. His breath roared quickly.

He swallowed. "Say! Who and what are you doing here?" I asked to look at him sharply.

"I'm Do Jian from Qian Lian Do kingdom. I was just told by someone to kill Li Shang. He said he was mixed blood." My forehead is curious.

Do Jian's? Not that he's in jail but how can he be free and who's behind all this? And, how do they know I'm mixed-blooded? My inner. My question rages on in my heart. "Who is he? And how did you get out of prison?" He sighed.

"A woman with an all-black caping met me in prison she released me. But, on condition that I kill Li Shang."

Forgetting for a moment the problem that made my head hurt. "Here you go, you better take a break and tomorrow we'll talk again.” I stepped up to the bed.

"Then, where's Li Shang?" Do Jian asked he looked doubtfully.

"I don't know.” My best days are lying in bed.

"Sleep. If you're noisy again I'll suck your blood dry." My threats made him quiet.

...

I stretched my body while glancing at Do Jian still sound asleep on the chair. I woke him up.

"Do Jian wake up! It's early morning to change your clothes before anyone comes." Do Jian blinked his eyes and immediately got up. "Quick change your clothes. And, this is hidden under my bed.” I pointed under the bed and he nodded.

....

Breakfast would be nice if the whole family were together. So is my life in the palace.

As usual after all the members had gathered we would start breakfast. In the front seat occupied by the father on the right side was the mother, Luan's brother, me and concubine Gong Zhen with Li Wing.

Li Wing he was only 2 years old the smallest boy in the Li family. And on the left side of concubine Hua Shing, concubine Chang Jingmi and second brother Zhang Chagyi.

A lasting atmosphere enveloped the dining table. "Ehm, may I ask you something?" Ayahanda.

"Is that my son?" I inhaled her breath slowly.

"May I ask Do Jian to be my personal bodyguard?"

Everyone stopped bribing while looking. "Son, what do you think your mother doesn't agree if she's your bodyguard." Mother's protest.

"Yes, I agree mom. I don't understand why you should choose him to be your bodyguard." Said Luan loudly.

"They're right. Though, you are very strong Li Shuwang. But why do we need guards? However, if you still want to find someone more worthy." Concubine Hua Shing.

I glanced at Zhang Chagyi who continued eating. He doesn't care about me. "Leave it. It's not better if he becomes a personal bodyguard, Li Shuwang."

"Chang Jingmi, I've never asked for your opinion here." your mother glanced sharply." Consorts Chang Jingmi.

"Sorry empress Yin Xie, I'm just giving you an opinion." Consort Chang Jingmi.

"Li Shuwang, why do you have to ask a criminal to be your personal bodyguard?" Concubine Gong Zhuan asked, raising her voice.

"Hm, I just feel that Do Jian deserves to be my personal bodyguard. And, he's not a criminal."

Ayahanda massaging the temple dizzy hearing the debate. "Li Shuwang, do you know what risk it would take if he were your bodyguard?" Ask father I nodded steadily.

"Anything happens I will bear the risk. And my father can also take care of himself so don't worry." I smile.
