Chapter 085: The Life of Chen Hao Ling

The distance from Huang Village to the nearby mountain where he played was about two miles. Every day his father would go up and down the mountain two to four times just to get some water, watching him make his heart ache.

The kangaroo standing at the front right of Lin Chen started jumping around while punching fists from both hands, like giving Lin Chen a message.
"Did Uncle Kangaroo ask Hao Ling to hit the ground and make a trench? But, Hao Ling was afraid of being considered possessed by evil creatures and was expelled from the village."
The ape moved both of his hands while making its distinctive sound, trying to communicate with Lin Chen.
Lin Chen again bowed to think of what the monkey said. "Right, perhaps Hao Ling would be expelled if caught. But, at least Hao Ling can reduce Dad's burden!" He looked back with a blazing fire in his eyes explaining the burning spirit.
Lin Chen stood up from his place, then walked following the stream accompanied by his beast friends. Not to forget also he brought a tree branch that was used to dig a trench.
Not long after, Lin Chen had already arrived at the stream that was heading west, while Huang Village was in the south direction. To fetch water, the villagers had to turn and it was three times the way it came.
Lin Chen raised his tiny hand as high as possible by carrying a tree branch, then he swung it vertically towards the south.

The river in front of him split and the swing of his tree branch also removed the trees in front of him, moving down the slope, all the way to the opposite mountain. Fortunately this swing did not reach the resident fields or houses, as Lin Chen swung it straight ahead outside the village.
