The Tippingback of Rania's World

The Tippingback of Rania's World
Episode 25 - Lost Puzzle Pieces

Mr. Rayhan carried Rania's lunglai body from the second floor to the ambulance in the lower corridor. He felt very guilty, having asked the girl to pick up the book by herself.

Rania's legs looked bloody, seemingly stricken by several thick and large books from the upper shelf. While his arm turned blue, either hit by a book as well, or crashed into another shelf before falling to the floor.

"Grandfather, why can you stay in Indonesia? Grandparents and grandmothers are not Indonesian, right? How can grandparents get married?"

"It's a long story, son. But since you are still too small, grandfather will tell you in brief. You want to listen to him, don't you?" ask Grandpa. Rania nodded.

"Romania is not what Romania used to be. There was a lot of war in that country. Then his grandmother and family fled to Turkey. It was there that grandparents met, "grandfather began his story.

"Who is the same war? Same with the other kingdoms, huh?" ask Rania. His age, which was only six years at that time, did not understand how strange real life was.

"Yes, it looks like that. But this war is huge. Involving many kingdoms," replied grandfather.

"That means grandparents get married in Turkey?" asked Rania innocently.

"No, hon. After the situation in the hometown of the grandmother was quite improved, the grandmother returned to Romania. We sent each other letters, and a few years later, Grandpa visited grandma, and then we got married, "grandfather ended the story.

"Not done, cake. Grandfather has not told, how can be in Indonesia," urged Rania to know.

"Oh yes, grandfather forgot. After your mother was born, my grandparents worked as traditional medicine traders in my grandmother's hometown. A few years later, the war came back. Everyone was displaced, and we boarded a merchant ship to Indonesia" explained grandfather.

"Oh, that's it.." muttered Rania with a smile. Her curiosity has been cured.

"Grandfather... Grandfather...why are there so many people here...?" rania Gumam.

"You're sober, son?" a woman touched Rania's arm.

"Mother?" rania whispered as she opened her eyes.

The middle-aged woman's eyes looked puffy. The frenzied voice that Rania heard in the dream, turned out to be the sound of busyness in the hospital. What the hell's been going on? Where's grandpa?

Rania turned back her memories. Last time he was in the library. Ah, he just remembered. He heard a strange whisper just before the bookcase crackled and fell. His memory stopped there.

Rania's eyes turned to look at the numb lower half of her body. His heart is beating fast. Hopefully not a bad thing happened.

"Rania, the doctor just checked on you. There are some fractures in the calf bone, and it should be immediately surgically removed. The doctors are preparing everything" explained the mother as if understanding the contents of Rania's heart.

"Mom, may I ask what happened? I don't really remember it. It all happened so fast" Rania said.

"According to CCTV footage, the bottom of the bookshelf near you stood up suddenly collapsed. So that the part on it collapsed and dropped all the books" said the mother. He wiped his nose full of mucus.

"Continue?" ask Rania curious.

"Thankfully, the wooden piece of the bookcase that was so heavy didn't hit you. Only the big books on the top are on your feet and some of your hands. Oh, God, what a mistake I made, until my son was hit by something bad many times," said the mother.

Rania clasped her mother's hand. She was swept away in the woman's grief, "Don't cry anymore, Mom. I'm it's okay. I'm sure, after surgery, it will be cured soon" whispered Rania. Her tears flowed slowly.

Suddenly, Rania remembered something. The beginning of today's problems arises.

"Mom, do you know where the Romanian State history books I've been holding are?" ask Rania. He had to make sure of it immediately before mixing with the other books that fell scattered.

"Mom don't know what book you mean, son. But if you ask the book you hugged when you fell, it's been kept by the library keeper" replied the mother.

"Excuse me, Mum. Blood stock for transfusion A-not available, ma'am. Does your family have an A-or O+ blood type?" ask the nurse who prepared the operation for Rania.

"There was. His sister also had blood type A-. But I don't know if he can be a donor or not" the mother replied hesitantly.

"Good, Mom. Please let us know immediately if you have a donor. We're working on it, too" explained the nurse.

"Mom, I'm not blood type A-. But O+," said Rania.

Mom frowned. While still Junior High Rania has done a blood test and the result is A-, while she is A+, then her husband and first child both have blood type B+. Why is it changing now?

Finally the nurse took the middle path, she again checked Rania's blood type. And sure enough, the result is O+.

"Mom, for this blood type, the stock is available. The mother's child can be operated on immediately" said the nurse, conveying a message from the doctor.

"Thank God" said my mother. He was not too concerned about his son's blood type. The important thing is that he can be saved immediately.

Rania shed tears. More and more, he felt increasingly different from his current family. There are many disagreements between them. Plus his dream just now, it was clearly his memory as a child.

But, seeing the look on the face of the woman he called the mother, he became unwilling to ask. Which wicked woman would go to great lengths to cry and put all her money, time and energy into the cause of her potential victims? There must be some misunderstanding here.

Come to think of it, Rania also still did not know much about this family. Do they have grandparents? If so, where do they live now? Do they have cousins? Ah, so many questions that came to Rania's head.

All the problems that have come up lately are like incomplete puzzle pieces. How will he solve all these problems?

"But neither will be able to live, one must die, one must sacrifice himself so that the balance of life is not disturbed." Rania recalled clearly the strange whisper she heard, just before the bookshelf in front of her collapsed.

What does that mean, huh? Was he hallucinating? It was as if there was another Rania who had to die, other than her.

"Mom, do I have a twin brother?" whisky Rania.

Mom frowned, "What do you mean?" Mother asked back.

"Mom, it looks like the injection of anesthesia in the mother's daughter has reacted. That's why he spoke slurred," said one of the doctors who will operate Rania.

"Oh, be-so?" said mother stuttered, making Rania a little suspicious. He was clearly still fully conscious at this moment.
