The Tippingback of Rania's World

The Tippingback of Rania's World
Episode 80 - The Curse of Inheritance

"Are you sure this is the way?" ask Qiandra.

Unexpectedly, finding a way out was not as complicated as solving a puzzle when going in. A lever located on one side of the wall, opened the stone door forty centimeters wide.

"It's pretty narrow to say the way out. But let's try it" Mikko said.

The two teenagers lowered their bodies in order to pass through a narrow passageway that looked more like the aqueduct.

Twenty minutes they spent crawling through the hallway. They found several other, smaller, but empty rooms.

"Mikko, this is very similar to the room where I was held first. I still remember, the exit was on the right," Qiandra said as they entered the fourth room.

The room with a wall height of about three meters was a dead end. They found no other way but the one Qiandra had pointed out earlier. The floor is wet and mossy.

"Ugh, what a stench," Mikko and Qiandra murmured together.

Bad smell like a comban is very disturbing smell.

According to Qiandra's direction, Mikko pushed the wall to the right, which was his way out.

Srak!!! Ground debris falling.

"It's difficult. We have to find another way" Mikko said.

"Which way again? This room is a dead end" Qiandra said. "Do we have to go back to the second room? That's where the road split off, right?" continued.

The slap! Qiandra. His feet hit the corner of the room hard.

"Shark... It's so dirty," said the disgusted Qiandra.

But it opened another door, right above them. They were also greeted with a clean white room.

"Is this your mom's make up room?" qiandra said with round eyes.

"What did you say? So this close you're in the room with your mama's private? Strange family," Mikko said.

"I don't understand either. Why they think gini. What the hell are they trying to hide from me" Qiandra said.

Mikko tried to throw the rope up, so they could go up.

"Qian, is there CCTV in this room?" whispered Mikko.

Qian shook his head. In certain rooms are not installed CCTV, most only in front of the door. You're afraid we're gonna get caught, aren't you?" qiandra.

He helped Mikko to hook the rope into the door handle up there.

"Successful! You can climb it, right?" mikko.

"I'll try" said Qiandra.

But apparently, it is not that easy to lift his body and move upwards.

"Bantuin, dong. Push the cake," Qiandra said resentfully.

"What do I push?" mikko's reply was confused.

"What's that cake, ass or leg?" said Qiandra again while grimacing in pain.

His hands are painful. His skin flushed and began to peel.

Innocently, Mikko pushed Qiandra's butt with her hand.

"Yeah... What are you doing?" yell Qiandra.

"Lo, you asked to be pushed."

"Yes but not your ass..."

Qiandra stopped her sentence. He just remembered that he himself said that.

"The shoulder blade," Mikko's pinta.

"What's? Unwilling. Your clothes will be dirty."

"Don't think about it. The important thing is that we can get out of here" Mikko said. "Do you want me to push you again?"

It was quite difficult, but Qiandra managed to crawl up, which Mikko then followed. The white floor also turned brownish due to the mud they carried.

"Last question, how to close this secret door?" ask Mikko.

Another mystery they must solve.

...🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺...

"Darling, aren't you worried about Qiandra? She keeps having weird dreams" Chloe told her husband.

"Dream is normal, baby," Geffie replied casually.

"But this is over the limit. Not to mention the case of him disappearing into the basement just yet, who did it?" Chloe.

"I've sorted everything out, but they're really slippery. It leaves absolutely no evidence" Geffie replied without taking his eyes off the highway.

Unlike usual, tonight they just go alone, driving their own car without a driver.

"If the cause is something beyond reason how?" whine Chloe again.

"You mean mystical things like your mother used to experience?" Geffie asked back.

This time he rolled his eyeballs towards Chloe on the left. The beautiful woman he married nineteen years ago looked very worried.

Chloe nodded, "No doubt, our family is cursed. That's why my mom left her homeland" Chloe said.

"But what is the curse proved? No, right? Your mother died from contracting an illness while you were on board. Months at sea are not easy" Geffie argued.

"What about the birth of our daughter?" chloe said.

"That's the same thing. They say that our daughter inherited the curse from her grandmother. At the age of seventeen he was said to be dead. Otherwise, he'll be far apart from us."

Geffie paused for a moment his sentence. He focused on seeing traffic lights that had just changed color.

"But what happened? Our daughter is safe and sound with us. Though he was seventeen years old, and soon eighteen," continued Geffie.

"But I'm still worried. We've been working hard to keep all those things in the basement. We kept him away from the curse people foretold, but he was trapped there, around the curse stuff..." Chloe looks really upset.

"If only I could throw and burn all that stuff" Chloe said. His eyes look teary.

According to the belief of Sirnea people, burning the object of the owner of the curse, can not eliminate the curse. Magic will remain, until someone is able to unlock the puzzle.

If they are burned, not only does the curse become eternal, but it also eliminates the clues of the curse.

"Darling... Be calm. Nothing's gonna happen." Geffie clasped his wife's hand.

"If I could believe that" whispered Chloe.

"But, isn't one of those curse things you've given to someone else? I think the magic will weaken" said Geffie.

"Ah, right too. I once gave Jennia one of my mom's bracelets." Chloe just remembered it.

"Will the curse be transferred to him? Did you give it to him on purpose?" ask Geffie.

"No. I had no intention of that at all when I gave it. Jennia is a good friend of mine" Chloe argued.

"And it seems, his family is fine too. Her three children grew up to be smart and healthy children. That's what I've been watching all this time" Chloe continued.

Nevertheless, his heart was quite wary. Is it true that Jennia's family is immune from the curse?

He only learned the facts of the objects after one of the friends of the mother, Esthera, told Chloe and her father.

He is the only Sirnea to believe that Freya is not a witch as the villagers accuse her of.

"Honey, where is Lady Esther now, huh? There's so much I want to ask her," Chloe muttered.

"I doubt, is he still alive at that very old age?" reply Geffie.
