The Tippingback of Rania's World
Episode 48 - Memories of Mother

Sreth.. Sret…

Rania's hand used a vacuum and mopped the second floor of her employer's house deftly. He seems to be used to his job now. He can even do two jobs at a time, for example, washing dishes while cooking vegetables.

“Uh. Though this house is smaller than my old house,” muttered Rania. “It is fitting that the brothers of the assistants used to often use koyok and eucalyptus oil all over his body,” he continued.

Rania imagines how tired the housewives are of cleaning her house which has five master bedrooms, two living rooms, father's work room, music room, reading room and library, eight bathrooms, and so on, family room, two living rooms, kitchen, swimming pool, not to mention the beams and a very spacious courtyard. Wow, just saying it is tired, let alone doing it every day.

“Rania's spirit. You just dry the cloth and clean the kitchen,” said Rania to herself.

Today's mom had an event at Livy's school. Therefore, I told Rania that she did all the tasks today. Rania of course did not mind doing so, except ironing. He is not good at doing that one task.

“Take care of your attitude, yes. Don't tease the Young Master. Remember that,” message mom before leaving this morning.

“Uh, who do you think I am? Mikko should have been given such a message, so as not to always harm me,” replied Rania this morning. But his mother pretended not to listen.

Rania's steps stopped in a room with a light green door, different from other doors that are brown wood. Next to the door was a small table. Above it lies a photo frame and a new flower bucket. He has never set foot here. Usually the second floor is Livy's working area.

“Is this Mikko's mother. Pretty once?” thought Rania.

“Beautiful book, right?” said Mikko who was suddenly behind Rania.

“Eh, yes beautiful once,” replied Rania nervously.

“That book is very beautiful and kind. But why is he still bullied, huh?” Mikko.

“Dibully? Is that true? Why?” ask Rania. He just heard this.

“I don't know either. They just said that my mom didn't deserve to marry me. He also died of a bully victim,” Mikko recalled.

“How can? Your father's a cop,” says Rania.

Mikko's face changed instantly. Both eyebrows are tied. His lips curled down.

“Sorry if my question is too presumptuous,” says Rania feels guilty.

“No, coke. I really want to tell you. From childhood you wanted to know about my mother, right? At that time I was not ready to tell it,” Mikko said later.

“I was a kid then, but that doesn't mean I don't know anything. My mother was often saddened by the words of an undignified person,” Mikko said starting the story. He took Rania to sit on the stairs.

“He always accepts harsh words and swear. They say my mother doesn't deserve to be with my father. He was too weak and clumsy,” Mikko recalled. Rania listened carefully.

“One day, I was waiting for my mom to pick me up at school. Until the school was empty, my mother did not come. How long later, some teachers came and told me that my mother was asleep in the hospital. My mother has left. His car was tricked by the wicked women so he was in an accident.”

Mikko's tears flowed down her delicate cheeks. Rania was sad to hear that. He did not expect, the cold figure he admired stored such a heavy past.

“You must be very heavy to hold this alone,” said Rania lirih.

“I think my father suffered more. He constantly blames himself. A policeman, however, cannot look after his wife. Although all the perpetrators were eventually caught, but it could not restore the figure of the woman we care about so much,” Mikko said.

“That's why, I'm not close enough to the ladies. They can be the most dangerous enemies. But your family is different. You guys are so warm and soft.”

“You should try to make friends with Alvi and Anjani. They were amazingly nice people,” entertain Rania.

“Why did you tell me?” ask Rania.

“It would be weird if I told you?” ask Mikko. He clenched his forehead not understanding.

“Ngak. But... You should have told Qiandra, right?” answer Rania.

“You still think I'm his girlfriend?” mikko said with a small laugh.

“If not, why are you so familiar with him? Anyway, your mother was a bully victim. But you are even friends with bullies,” said Rania.

“You must still feel angry at Qiandra, because she bullied you several times at school. But believe me, he is not a bad person, as people think. He was just lonely and wrong to have friends,” Mikko said.

Rania's face wrinkled, hearing Mikko defend the girl who was also her nemesis. Mikko was also not evasive when asked about his relationship with Qiandra, right?

“A-I go first, yes. My work is not done yet,” said Rania evaded.

“OK,” says Mikko. The corner of his lips rose. He knew what his little friend was thinking right now.

“Hei, Rania. I'll ask you to please clean this room, yes,” pinta Mikko. He showed me a room behind the closet.

...🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺...

“Wow, I just found out that your house has a library this large,” said Rania. This room reminded him of his old library room. The size is almost the same, and the book collection is quite complete.

“What do you mean? You will often fall asleep here while accompanying your mother to work.” Mikko.

“Ah, I mean... Your book collection is increasing,” Rania rectifies his words.

Mikko frowned. For the past three years he has only bought six new books. And it's all been read by this beautiful teenager.

“Hey, do you like reading supernatural books?” Mikko picked up a book at the very end of the shelf. The cover is a little blurry because it is covered in dust.

“Not really,” replied Rania. He walked up to Mikko while carrying a vacuum cleaner.

“Time travel? Reincarnation?” Rania read the synopsis of the books. “I've never believed in such mystical things. But maybe I can start reading it. Perhaps there is an answer to my case there, Rania's inner”.

He collected some similar books, “Can I borrow these books?” ask Rania.

“Wah. You touched that book once. Usually it's your favorite shelf near the window.” Mikko pointed at a shelf full of adventure fairy tale books.

“I just want to read new things. And I'm not a kid reading fairy tales anymore,” replied Rania. “So I can't borrow it, nih?”

“I never said no,” said Mikko. “Especially for my new friend, ‘Rania ...’,” Mikko whispered in Rania's ear.

“A-what?” Rania stammered hearing the name called Mikko in her ears.
