THE TORTURED WIFE
With Gibran

Gibran swam to find Lara drifting in the river. He tried to swim towards Lara who began to have difficulty swimming because the current was getting heavier. Gibran grabbed Lara's body and hugged her with one hand. The other hand tried to swim to the edge. They got to the edge of the river, Gibran carried Lara under a tree on the edge of the river. He tries to get out the water Lara might have swallowed by pressing on Lara's stomach until the water comes out of her mouth. Gibran also gives Lara artificial breath but Lara is unconscious as well. Lara looks weak and cold. Gibran hugged Lara so that her body warmed quickly.

"Wake up, we're safe" Gibran said.

Because Lara was still unconscious Gibran was carrying Lara on his back. He tried to find the nearest house but did not find it yet. Gibran sees only the hills and the wilderness. Gibran continued to walk carrying Lara until he reached a cave. Gibran laid Lara on a stone. Gibran was looking for firewood to build a bonfire. After the wood was collected, he brought the wood into the cave.

Then light a bonfire to warm yourself up. He carried Lara close to the bonfire. Then sat down and held Lara in his arms. Gibran leaned against the cave wall while sleeping from exhaustion.

The next day Lara wakes up and sees Gibran sitting around hugging her. Lara noticed Gibran's calm face while sleeping.

"Seeing her sleep was very quiet and peaceful" Lara said.

Soon Gibran woke up to see Lara was looking at him.They met face to face, Lara immediately turned her face because she was embarrassed to have noticed Gibran from earlier.

"Miss Lara are you awake?"ask Gibran.

"I just woke up Gibran" said Lara immediately stood up and slightly away from Gibran.

"I'll get you some food" Gibran said.

"I'm troubling you, Gibran, when it's my problem" Lara said.

"Miss Lara you're not bothering me, I'm just trying to protect you as a cop that's my job" Gibran said.

"I put you in Gibran's danger"

said Lara.

"They don't seem to be ordinary people, like gangsters when viewed from the appearance and logo on it. There's a scorpion logo, could it be a Scorpion Gangster?" Gibran.

"Gengster Scorpion" said Lara.

"Yes, I've heard from my father about that gangster" Gibran said.

"They said they were going to kill me because I'm Alex's wife" Lara said.

"That means your husband has a problem with that gangster" Gibran said.

"I don't care about that" Lara said

"Well, then I'll go find some food first, Miss Lara stay here and don't go anywhere" Gibran said.

"Well, thank you Gibran" Lara said.

"Together Miss Lara" Gibran said.

Gibran came out of the cave looking for tubers and fruits after which he returned.

"Miss Lara ate the apple and the lamb first, while waiting for me to burn the tubers" Gibran said.

"Good Gibran" said Lara.

Gibran looks serious while burning the bulbs, so Lara thinks that Gibran is a good and hardworking man.

After the tubers had matured, Gibran gave the tubers to Lara.

"Miss Lara eat this roasted tuber" Gibran said

"Thank you Gibran, you've been taking care of me, so when do you take care of yourself ?"said Lara.

"I think, the important thing is that you're full, I'll eat" Gibran said.

"I don't have a wife yet, let alone a girlfriend's wife I don't have one" Gibran said.

"There's no way a guy like you hasn't got a girlfriend yet, for sure every woman wants to be your girlfriend too" Lara said.

"I don't have a boyfriend yet, it might sound funny but that's the truth" Gibran said.

Lara felt that what Gibran said was true.Gibran did not have a boyfriend or partner.

"When it's done, let's go back home, I'll take you to your house" Gibran said.

"Well, I'm done" Lara said.

They finally walked out of the cave. Lara walks behind Gibran, and they meet two lionesses. Lara was frightened and approached Gibran.

"Gibran, there's a lion" Lara said.

"Relax Lara, you hide so I can face these hungry lions" Gibran said.

"But what if something happens to you?" ask Lara.

"Nothing will happen to me, the important thing is that you survive, hide" Gibran said.

With a heavy heart Lara left Gibran hiding in the bushes.Gibran took the trunk of a tree that fell on the ground as a weapon. The two hungry lionesses began to attack. Gibran repeatedly dodged and his hand was hit by the claw of a lion jumping towards him. With the trunk of the tree, Gibran was finally able to drive the lion until they fell and left Gibran. Lara comes out of hiding to Gibran.

"Gibran your hand" Lara said.

"No papa will be healed" Gibran said.

Lara tore off the blizer she was wearing to cover Gibran's bleeding wound. He bandaged the wound with a torn cloth from his blizer.

"Gibran what's sick?"ask Lara.

"No, the important thing is that I can save you, Lara" Gibran said.

"After Ardi leaves, you're the only one who cares about strangers like me" Lara said.

"The ardi?"gibran said in wonder.

"He's my ex-boyfriend but now he's dead" Lara said.

"Then your husband, instead of being rich, I'm sure he can make you happy" Gibran said.

"My life is not that simple, a lot of things have happened, I am just a woman who has no self-esteem anymore, I just live to get revenge" Lara said.

"Revenge?...whatever it is, revenge will never give satisfaction or happiness. Better take action and start a new, better life" Gibran said.

"My problems are complicated, you'd be disgusted by me if you knew what I was like" Lara said.

"Miss Lara everyone must have their own problems. Depends on how we finish it. I'll never disgust you with anything either" Gibran said.

"You don't know what has happened to me, I'm just a despicable woman now.

Gibran immediately hugged Lara in his arms.

"I'm sorry for my words, you must have been very hurt huh. Cry if it reduces the burden on your heart" Gibran said.

Lara was crying in Gibran's arms, she felt like she could cry as much as she let out all her pain all along. Somehow Gibran reminded him of Ardi. He feels comfortable with Gibran. He felt he could express his sadness in front of Gibran. This man who didn't even know him before felt very warm.
