The Weakest Undefeated

The Weakest Undefeated
Chapter 22: The Misteltein Movement

Drowning in silence with the passing warm wind mixed with leaves that fly through the cracks of the window hole that no longer has glass. Fragments of glass on the floor reflect light and illuminate some points on the dark side unattainable by the sun.

The awkward atmosphere that had long enough colored the moment we both ended unexpectedly.

“G-Game......cancel.......can..........go!” the sound of a broken telepathic voice made the message conveyed unclear.

A game? What the hell is that talking?

Too long locked in an awkward atmosphere made me realize it late, when the voice from the telepathy was cut off completely I opened my ears wide.

Silent.....

There was only the sound of a small wind, other than that there was nothing. When returning to the Hall from Class A even though this place is a mess like the ruins of an abandoned building that is half destroyed but there are still some signs of life, there are still some signs of life, Butterflies passed through the window without glass, birds chirping from tree branches beside the hall, some lizards crawling on the cracked walls.

Very different from now, silent...

My eyes glanced at the various angles and sides looking for the center of awkwardness that existed until I met the lizard and also

the butterfly, which had been moving freely but now lay on the floor. Elsie who realized the awkwardness immediately removed the rope and also the handcuffs and was on full alert. As I walked straight towards the lizard and the butterfly, I touched there was no response and it turned out that the animals had died without the slightest injury on their bodies as dead without cause.

The poison?

I raised my hand to call Elsie and tell her every nagging thing I've ever had on her.

“Poisons?” reiterate from my explanation,

“It's just a hypothesis, I myself am also not sure.” I answered him and turned my eyes to the bodies of 2 small animals on the floor.

Without asking again Elsie immediately pulled out a scalpel from her portal, an elegant but not as beautiful as her goal, the scalpel seemed to dance with Elsie's fingers and dissect the lizard's body in an instant and examine her internal organs.

“Everything looks fine.”  His murmurs checked one by one.

I who was both amazed and afraid of his ability to dissect the body took one step back. After a few seconds Elsie finished checking every corner of the animal's body and found no obvious signs of awkwardness from her tilting her head a little confused.

“So gym-“

*jleb*

Elsie stuck a scalpel into the wooden floor through the lizard's body until it pulled out blood pooled and stuck to another knife until it splashed a few drops into Elsie's hands and face.

I paled my intention of asking and took another step back avoiding the splash of blood. Daringly Elsie performed a direct test into her own body.

*Slurp*

He pulled back the scalpel and licked his blood.

Closing his eyes focused with blood in his mouth and suddenly opened his eyes standing up while storing his scalpel back into the portal.

“The outer body and also the internal physical organs are not injured, this is also not poison because the blood does not taste bitter or strange. He died without the butterflies, so must he. But not only the two of them.” Elsie turned her head towards all the animals lying motionless just like this lizard.

“Power Exceed?” guess what,

“I have never heard of any such power, even during the meeting of the 10 S rank Exceeds in the world none of them had this kind of power. Something's wrong.” Said Elsie pissed off biting her fingertips thinking hard.

Hearing the word ‘not right’ from him made me remember the unclear message from the staff earlier. I realized that theorizing without action will not produce results, I finally opened HP and checked the state of this Event from the current game ranking list.

King & Queen Ranking game

1.Class D: 1 crown

2.Top Class: 1 crown

Lah? Where did the other classes go? How is it written?

Every Academy student has a bracelet that ties their hands that they've been able to since enrollment, the bracelet that cannot be removed without the permission of a certain person is used to check the development of students and also mental and physical condition of a person.  If anything happens it will definitely be written on the bracelet log.

I traced the log from my bracelet, there was no notice at all of the other participants' circumstances, which meant they were fine, but they were lost in the rankings.

When I thought hard with Elsie suddenly a bird flew into the hall freely, my attention was distracted from seeing it soar to the ceiling of the hall.

*tap!*

it fell on my hands. Unmoving, not breathing, the bird died instantly for no reason like any other animal.

*tap!*

The second step moved and this time Elsie heard it. In contrast to me the response was very quick to pull me into the portal and move to the end of the Hall where it was furthest from the entrance.

A long shadow was seen from outside the dazzling door. Our attention was both fixed on the shadow and the sound of his footsteps, without ab-aba we both immediately put up the horses anticipating an impromptu attack.

A small object fell slowly right in front of my eyes.

White, soft, small and when it touched my hand it melted into cold water. Not dangerous, he said

I'm in my heart and make black shadow a top priority. One by one until enough of it came down and I realized.

The snow?

I looked up at the sky from the hole, in the middle of summer I saw snow falling looking out the window

the trees with dense green leaves instantly withered one by one.

“He came!” exclaiming Elsie gazed out the door seeing the black shadow begin to enter the floor of the Hall.

I returned it to my focus to the owner of the shadow and as he set foot into the hall I paused

straight up my horses and walk towards him leisurely.

“What do you need to come here, Misteltein? Have you answered my previous question to you?” My words casually shortened the distance between the two of us while Elsie was still on standby in her place.

“....” There was no answer behind the mask,

*Wush........Dak!*

An iron coffin the size of my body shot up from behind MIsteltein and landed in a firm standing position mediating between the two of us. After the appearance of the chest appeared another big shadow that was running in.

I narrowed my eyes trying to recognize the owner of the shadow until it was finally fully visible,

“Si teddy bear? Ngap-“

*grab!*

The bear immediately carried me away from Misteltein and brought me back to Elsie.

“Elsie! We gotta go! Open your portal as far as you can!” Shouted the teddy bear, though,

“Woi, teddy bear down cave! Non Participants may not enter the Event area, you want your class to be infringed?” my protest was trying to escape from over his shoulder,

“All Staff are dead at headquarters! I don't know what's going on but now no one is taking care of this place, so we have to go!” It was clear in a panic without reducing his leg speed,

*bruack!*

The coffin door was instantly shattered as it was forcefully opened from the inside, a pair of hands appeared to the side of the coffin and pulled its body out. For the first time I saw him wake up from his sleep,

“Let the chairman who takes care of Misteltein anyway we should immediately gather with other students!” Command

that bear, that bear,

From a distance I saw the class D leader staggering like a zombie approaching Misteltein. The small, thin body and staggering path made me not sure he could overcome Misteltein with strength from the future, but from the sound of this teddy bear he strongly believes in the chairman.
