The day after the battle at the South Gate of Xinan City, Guo Jin decided to return to the Valley of Gods with all his members in Xinan city. His goal was to prepare everything for the revival of their sect.
The group of nearly five hundred warriors, left Xinan City under Guo Jin. Their departure in the morning, accompanied by the gaze of several pairs of eyes. They were Elders Yu Ma, Yao Chan, Yu Lian and Zhu Yin as well as five other elders disguised as imperial soldiers.
They were going to the imperial Capital to meet Yao Chan's mother, Lin Hua and at once to treat her with the techniques Yao Chan and Zhu Yin had.
"Dad..When are we going to the Capital? I've been wanting to meet Aunt Hua." Yu Lian's voice broke the silence between them.
Although Lin Hua did not stay for a long time in the Valley of Gods, Lin Hua and Yu Lian had the same closeness as a mother and child. It had happened ever since Yao Chan entered the Dragon Cultivation Realm ten years ago.
In their few months of closeness, Yu Lian felt herself still having a Mother, this was because Lin Hua gave her affection sincerely as if Yu Lian was her own daughter.
Yu Ma smiled faintly before answering his daughter's question. "Well, how about we go now to Chan'er?"
"Yes Uncle, I can't wait to see Mom." Yao Chan Lirih. Her chest felt tight considering the current condition of the mother.
They then bid farewell to Mayor Fu Zianhe and rode the best horse prepared by the Mayor.
Yao Chan and Zhu Lian felt awkward when it came to riding a horse. Both of them had not been able to ride horses, having never practiced riding them during their time in the Dragon Cultivation Realm.
Yao Chan finally hitched a ride on one of the elders who had the biggest horse, the, yu Lian was riding a horse with Zhu Yin who had been holding back her laughter from seeing Yu Lian and Yao Chan's inability to ride a horse.
The group of nine people headed towards the Red Forest that no one had previously dared to pass through because of the existence of the Red Wolf demon.
By taking the road that passes through the forest, their journey will be faster a few days when compared to the path commonly traversed by traders.
After half a day of their journey on horseback, they finally made it out of the Red Forest without encountering any significant obstacles.
Yu Ma directed the small group towards the sunset. If Yu Ma did not remember wrongly, in another hour they would find a village that was quite crowded, for them to rest and eat first in a tavern that he had once stopped by.
An hour later, Yu Ma's entourage finally arrived at the village. They entered the village through a simple gate guarded by dozens of Imperial Wu warriors.
The soldiers guarding the gate stopped them, not knowing that one of the Empire's strongest Generals was in front of them. Yu Ma and the other Elders deliberately kept their armor and uniforms and replaced them with ordinary robes.
The gatekeepers became wary of the party, as they had previously emerged from a road rarely passed by ordinary people. They also believe that the group before him today are people from the martial world.
"Please show me your identity" a guard soldier ordered.
Yu Ma who was at the very front, frowned when he finished counting the number of soldiers who only numbered eleven.
"Why are only eleven soldiers on guard, instead of twenty for a village of this size?" Yu Ma asked as he picked up the badge that showed his name as General Ma Yun.
The guard soldiers who were at the venue, looked at each other before finally one of them snapped at Yu Ma.
Yu Ma smiled as he handed over his identification badge, while Yu Lian began to look emotionlessly at his father being so snapped by the soldiers who were his subordinates.
The soldier who received the Yu Ma Badge his body became violently trembling after recognizing Yu Ma as General Ma Yun. A moment later he bent his knee, saying loud enough that it was clearly heard by the others.
"Honor to Great General Ma Yun, welcome to Luan village!"
The fellow soldiers, gasped when they heard those words. Instantly they lined up neatly and bent their knees while saying the same sentence as his partner.
While the warrior who snapped at Yu Ma earlier, his body was now shivering violently. Never in his mind though, he would snap at a Great General who was highly respected and respected by all the soldiers of the Wu Empire.
"Stand up all of you, where are the other soldiers, instead of your number there are at least fifty people?" Asked Yu Ma while looking intently at the soldiers who were now all downcast.
One of the soldiers then stepped forward and began to explain some of their other comrades.
"Great General.. Last night this village was visited by dozens of robbers, but we managed to thwart their intentions. The commander is currently leading some troops to hunt down the fleeing robbers."
Yu Ma nodded his head, the explanation made sense, and Yu Ma understood it.
"We'll eat in the tavern and rest for a while there, report to me if your commander has come." Yu Ma's orders immediately spurred his horse without waiting for the guard soldiers' answers.
Yao Chan and the others immediately followed in Yu Ma's footsteps accompanied by the gazes of the soldiers who were seen breathing a sigh of relief. They did not expect at all if the General came to a village that was quite far from the Imperial Capital.
None of them had actually seen General Ma Yun as clearly as had just happened, let alone in an ordinary robe and not a military uniform.
A little while later, Yu Ma's entourage arrived at the tavern where Yu Ma had stopped and dined there a year ago.
"Welcome to Tu..Oohs.. Great General Ma Yun...!?" an old man who had previously recognized Yu Ma, was a little surprised when he realized the figure before him was General Ma Yun whom he barely recognized because he was not wearing his military uniform.
"hahahaha mister Lang Pao how are you? looks like your store is growing?" Yu Ma replied to Lao Pao's greeting which turned out to be the owner of the shop.
Lang Pao smiled happily, when he realized that the figure before him was Great General Ma Yun.
"Thank you General, thanks to your help first, now my shop is safe and the visitors are getting crowded. Lord General, let us entertain you and your fellow lords into the room for special guests." Lao Pao then took Yu Ma's entourage into a larger room with a large table inside.
Lang Pao immediately ordered the waiter to serve the dish with the best menu they have with the best Arak.
Yu Ma and the others immediately ate the dishes that had been served, Lang Pao looked satisfied when this particular guest ate the dishes voraciously.
Lang Pao left them and returned to the front of the Shop. His forehead shriveled as he stared at a soldier with a panicked face running into his shop.
