Idaline sat staring at the rising morning sun. Last night the omnipotent bodyguard drove himself home to the drugstore as people searched for him to fill the market. Today he was forbidden to go out even to go to the park.
"Bosen," lamented Idaline.
The girl's feet floated between the legs of the long chair. His hands were folded in the window, occasionally he spread a smile at those who were silently looking at him while working. "Hopefully your hands are fine" he was horrified to see the sharp knife in the hands of those who garden.
The sound of an open door distracting her world, Idaline blinked her eyes familiarizing the atmosphere of a room whose light was far different from the light in the garden. Two people were standing at the door. One of them was Sri, she smiled as she approached towards Idaline.
"Miss, look who's coming." The woman shifted her body revealing the person behind her.
There appeared a man wearing a caping hat, he rested and lowered his head deeply making his face completely invisible.
Idaline smiled awkwardly. He did not know the man, did not know how to call him, and did not know what to do.
"He is Mr. Garong. People trust the master to the garden and the guardian appointed by the mistress.” Sri took down Idaline and invited her to get closer to her coworker.
"Greetings, sir."
Garong opened his caping peeking at the state of fear his little miss was surprised. He smiled looking at the small hand in front of him. "Little lady is brave!" take pride in your heart and reach for the little hand that sticks out to her.
"Greetings, miss. I'm glad to hear that Miss is back to health." Garong's hair suddenly stood up as Idaline pressed her hand against her forehead. "Miss.." call Garong haru. Idaline does a very polite thing to parents. "No. No. gabe. Miss can't be so with the subordinates." Garong pulled his hand out of Idaline's.
"The little ones must respect the big ones." Idaline stared innocently at Garong making the childlike man feel anxious.
"It remains that the subordinates are subordinates, miss."
"Two stay old, uncle."
"Huhu become an old uncle?" Garong pretended to rub the tip of his eye.
"Yes my uncle is old!!" exclaim Idaline hides her grin. How could he say the man was old and looked the same age as him? Idaline just wants to tease the cute musical guy in front of her.
"Eh?" The man thought Idaline would calm him down. He wanted to cry for real. "It is still young like this. But the little boy is always right. Women are always right. The employer is always right. Miss is a girl child."
Sri smiled slightly at the debate between the two of them. "We'll be back in the afternoon" he said.
Idaline who was nodding moved her head towards Sri. "Auntie is still sick" he said.
"I'm healed. Thanks for the attention, miss." Sri smiled warmly.
"alright. Because we're coming back. How about buying some presents for friends?" break Idaline. Sri told Idaline about her friends.
"Well, miss," said Sri and Garong at the same time.
Idaline's face flexed as she wore very tight clothes on her stomach. For safety, Sri added some fabric ties on her body.
"Bi I can't breathe." Idaline holds a cloth bond in her stomach. The shawl tied above the back connects to the bracelet on his right and left hand adding to the Idaline fuss. Sri took the initiative to install it so because Idaline always carries a shawl wherever she goes.
"Hold, miss. Soon you will get used to it." Sri grabbed Idaline's hand and massaged it slowly. The points Sri touched made Idaline feel relaxed.
••••••••••••••••••••
Idaline's face shone staring at the market that many people passed by. Yesterday he did not pay attention because he focused on going to the store. Idaline's eyes moved to Hasta's, the tavern was closed because it was only open two days in ten days.
"Big, bi. I want to go to the flower shop." The face of Atem that was so imprinted appeared in his memory. The village where Idaline lived far away, she had to say goodbye.
"Dissipate faster" Idaline said in her heart. This way he hopes they can find a way out faster.
"All right."
"Welcome," greet the waiter at the front desk.
"Oh this is the information desk?" amazement Idaline. Atem styled his buttons with modern service. It feels like he is getting into a boutique in the city with a traditional feel.
"Little lady, how can we help you?" Another waiter appeared whose clothes were the same as the receptionist. The array was worn from the chest to the ankles, a plain white cloth wrapped from the back crossed to the front of the body making it like a robe.
While men wear a pull to cover the stomach with an additional white cloth attached to one of their shoulders.
"I want to meet Miss Atem" Idaline said without further ado. Instead of being arrogant, he just couldn't do it. The pleasantries appear usually when nervous about it.
"It's.."
"I'm Idaline."
"Oh miss Idaline. Alright. Please follow me." The servants have already been given a message about this little lady's special guest. There are some people who are allowed to meet without an appointment with their employer.
"Miss is familiar with the owner of this boutique? Though his work was so extraordinary that it was called by the palace," whispered Garong walking behind Idaline..
"Yesterday we accidentally met at the tavern," a short-sighted Idaline continued.
"Please escort miss rest in the waiting room." The guard in front of the stairs stretched out his hand blocking Sri and Garong, separating them from Idaline.
The two people looked at each other like telepathically then Sri nodded slowly. "I'll wait here."
"All right." Another guard brought a chair so that his master's guests would sit comfortably next to the stairs.
Idaline was amazed by the collection of musical instruments on the second floor that lined up neatly as well as various kinds of puppets and fabrics with various motifs on display there.
"Miss Idaline wants to meet," the guard said after knocking on the door.
"Please enter" said from within.
The guards opened the door of a plain white wall welcoming them. "Monggos." The guard pointed at the door with a thumb.
"Thank you, pretty sister."
The guard smiled in embarrassment as he closed the door. So far Idaline has only seen two male workers guarding the stairs and blocking Sri and Garong. Overall almost all Boutique Flower workers are women.
"It just so happens that Ida came here. I've tidied up some comfortable clothes for you."
"Thank you very much, aunt." Idaline received the parcel from Atem. "I want to order comfortable clothes for the nurse."
"It's easy to make those clothes. But we live in this age, baby." Atem stroking Idaline hair. In Atem's eyes he sees Idaline as his favorite child and Idaline does not mind, he respects a mother who is feeling a deep longing for her child.
"I thought about it last night, aunt. It should not be a problem because the development of kebaya will occur in the near future. The model is like this."
"It's still too modern." Atem smiled looking at the picture of the doctor's suit without explanation of the material and color. If not careful, the picture will look as a meaningless scribble.
"Ah yes, the picture is as rich as the doctor's clothes, but if you wear a rag is not papa, right?" Idaline pleads with enlarged pupils.
Idaline wants to make it easier for people to store items such as emergency medicine in pouches on her doctor clothes. Because not infrequently he saw healer students exposed to poison from plants. By keeping it in the bag, they can immediately down it no need to search around in bags mixed with other items.
Atem laughed a little. "alright then. I'll make it for 4 people." Atem put the design of Idaline into his own design pile. "Well, these are the gardening gloves you ordered."
"Thank you aunt."
"Don't hesitate, Da."
"Then the suit will be delivered to the drug store. I'm going home to Janapada today."
"alright. Be careful and don't forget to send a message for aunt."
"Not to forget" answered optimist Idaline. "I'm sorry, aunt. Still have to buy something else."
"Be careful on the road. Sorry aunt couldn't deliver." Atem still has to meet his VIP customers.
"No problem, aunt. Greetings to Hasta!"
As soon as Idaline came down the stairs Sri approached Idaline and took the parcels in the girl's right and left hands. "Just me, miss."
Idaline gave part to Sri and Garong because honestly her body was not strong enough to hold a lot of Atem's gifts. "Next we're going to the plant store."
••••••••••••••••••••
Sri and Garong sit in the teahouse after touring with Idaline. The last stop was the place of a craftsman. They did not understand why the nonanya went to an unknown and deserted craftsman shop.
"Don't you see the shop's quiet? Wish what?" ketus shopkeeper made Idaline smile behind her caping.
"I brought a nice design tool." Idaline spoke kindly.
"I've heard a thousand times." The shopkeeper moved both of his hands like the pounding of the waves hoping that his uninvited guest would look at him insanely.
"Mr Tok, I want you to make this one only and must not copy the designs that I have or you will get in trouble." Idaline changed her tone to firm.
Tok stared at the folded paper on his desk. He stared alternately at the paper and the small silhouette that covered his head with a caping surrounded by black cloth. "What's so good?" ask him lazily.
"You must swear first." Idaline pulled the paper.
"Ahaha interesting, very interesting. I'm curious." Tok sat up upright putting his two hands together and linking to each other on the table.
"Vow that you will not copy this design or make it without my knowledge. Only I can determine the making of this." Idaline finds out about the vows from Wala who keeps telling her stories when she can't get out of bed.
The oath cannot be spoken. There are consequences that will occur if you break it. This never changes even though the world has changed. It's just that in a world that has changed knowledge, the results of his vows are suspended. The real age is more difficult because it can only be guessed. Until finally many people no longer believe in the consequences of a lot of swearing.
Tok silently stared at his fist for 3 minutes then he opened his fist and a bright white light appeared. "I swear in the name of the Lord I will not break my promise to this lady. I will make the objects that he designs according to his request only. If I break, please send a bolt of lightning to snatch away those who don't keep promises."
"Then this sign belongs to me." Idaline put her signature on paper. "Please make each picture one."
"I thought so." Tok smiled as he looked at the unique designs he had never seen.
"It's nice to work with you."
"I'm also very happy. Please forgive my rudeness, sir. There are very few interesting people in this world."
Idaline's round eyes stared straight at Tok. Though his voice was not contrived but Tok considered him a man. Indeed, from among men and women very few who think a brilliant idea can arise from the mind of women.
Women were created with strict rules because they were so precious as pearls in a shell. Many look to the eyes of the rules, but those who obey them are written in the golden ink of history, and some are inscribed in the golden book of history by their children.
"You have to look at everyone with a new roomy will look interesting side of each of them," said Idaline glaring deep into him. He was just someone who felt compelled to obey the rules, but people were reluctant to befriend him.
Various scorns were thrown behind him and he was very sensitive. Wanting him to be friends or just accept a play call but their eyes imply hatred.
"Everyone just wants to make the same craft, a craft that everyone can make. I'm hoping you'll continue subscribing here."
"After everything is done." Idaline stepped out leaving Tok.
Sri and Garong stood up to see the arrival of Idaline. "How lady? Is everything done?" tanya Sri examined Idaline's body.
"Yes. Let's say goodbye to the drugstore."
Garong drives his horse in front of the train, taking Idaline and Sri back to the drugstore.
"That's funny, miss," said the waiter who works in the kitchen. Idaline gives hairband to them.
"This is for the garden's uncles." Idaline smiled broadly giving the gloves to them.
For him making friends with adults is very fun, they will not be childish and moreover he will be noticed as a younger child, he said, his imperfections will be understood and no one looks down on the advice or warning that comes out of his mouth.
Adults think wisely. They study and digest every utterance regardless of who they receive it from, even if it's just a non-proprietary inscription on the wall.
"So nice little lady!"
Idaline snorted a little. His body wasn't too small just those people who were too big! Unimaginable in his mind the previous man in his country turned out to have a tall body. His land was called the land of the short.
"For me? For me?" Wala stared fixedly at Idaline.
"It." Idaline gave Wala a bracelet.
"Well." Wala opened her eyes and mouth wide dramatically. He put the bracelet on his left hand. "It's so beautiful like little lady."
"Let's not tease him. Look Miss Idaline is so embarrassed," said Wala's friend.
"This is for Kak Kerto." Idaline gave me the same bracelet.
"Thank you, Miss Idaline."
"Sister Westo and the healer aren't there?" Idaline looked around not finding the two of them.
"Yes. While visiting the patient," answered Kerto put the bracelet in his belt. The lover is jealous, he cannot wear it.
"Okay, I'm going to put Kerto's brother in his bracelet." Idaline gives a pouch to Kerto. Hiding he laughed seeing Kerto's partner staring furiously behind the wall.
"We will leave now" said Sri to see the sun falling.
"See you later, brothers." Idaline waved her hand inside the carriage.
"Be careful!"
