Episode 22: Engagement

Ara is home today. The doctor said his condition was much better than before. But the doctor also said that he was not too tired and a lot of thoughts because it could disturb his fetus.

Xavier pushed the wheelchair through the hallway and into the front of their car. Ara already knew about her feet that she could not walk. He understands. At first he was very sad but Xavier said that he would always be with Ara.

Xavier cradled and put Ara in the car. He took and put the wheelchair in the trunk.

Xavier opened the door and entered. Pairing the seat belts on Ara and herself, she starts driving her car towards her mansion.

Xavier turned into a super possessive man. He would forbid Ara from doing this and that. He reasoned that if Ara should not be tired, he did not want something to happen to his mother and future children.

The two of them had now arrived at the mansion. Xavier carried Ara to their room and told the waiter to bring Ara's things in.

Xavier placed Ara on the bed carefully.

"Is honey comfortable? you tired? or need something?" tanya Xavier took a seat beside Ara.

"No. I'm just astonished. Where did Arora go? I haven't seen her since entering this mansion" Ara asked looking at Xavier.

Xavier didn't know what to say. It's impossible if he says he killed the woman.

"Your servant always teases me. So I fired him. I don't like that kind of waitress. You take it easy, I'll find you a new personal servant" Xavier said, trying to make Ara understand.

"alright. Now I want to take a break, Xavier accompany me." said Ara with puppy eyes.

Gosh look at this woman, Xavier is really made to be anxious.

"Well, I'll hold you all day. Now go to sleep." said Xavier, laying Ara down and hugging her.

Xavier and Ara are currently in the garden behind their mansion. It was two weeks after Ara was discharged from the hospital. His legs are also better, he can walk even though he has to be helped.

Every morning Xavier would take her to the back garden and help her walk slowly.

His mother and father also visited frequently, including Xavier's father and mother. They would come asking if Xavier treated him right. Are their grandchildren behaving well and so on.

Ara understood, Her son is the first grandchild of the two families, so it is normal that they all worry about him.

"What do you think honey is?" xavier asked to look at Ara who was pensive as if thinking of something.

"That's my duty as your lover. Oh yes, our engagement will be held in 2 weeks." said Xavier makes Ara confused.

Her legs are still sore, it is impossible at her engagement event that she wears a dress and sits on a wheelchair.

"But my leg still hurts Xavier, what will people say" Ara said with a sad face.

"Nobody's gonna make fun of you honey. Trust me, you'll be perfect. The show is still two weeks away. At that time your legs must have recovered." said Xavier reassured Ara.

Ara just smiled. But behind that smile was fear.

Calculating the age of the womb Ara has stepped on 3 months. And today is her engagement day. Ara looked at herself in the mirror. So pretty.

But there's one problem. his stomach bump makes him look fat. He was not confident. But this is his son, for what he's ashamed of.

The door of the room opened showing the figures of his father and mother.

"Mommy's right, baby. You look so pretty. Daddy's little daughter will soon be engaged and soon to be married also have children. It feels like just yesterday Daddy taught you to walk." said Anthony wiping his tears that suddenly came out.

"Daddy and mommy don't have to worry, I'll still be your daughter. Even I will give you grandchildren who can accompany you later." said Ara comforting her father and mother.

"We'd better get out. The guests must have come, Xavier and his family are waiting" said his father walking towards his daughter.

The two middle-aged men took their daughters to the venue of the event.

Xavier and his parents were seen on stage. Ara was nervous.her hands were sweating coldly.

"Don't be nervous, baby. It's your show, you have to be confident." said Anthony trying to encourage his daughter.

Ara took in her breath and normalized her heartbeat.

Now the two families have taken to the stage. The engagement event also began.

Xavier paired the diamond ring to Ara's sweet finger. Then kiss that hand. Now it's Ara's turn.

Hands shaking. He was afraid to drop the ring he was holding. But Xavier rubbed his hands gently trying to calm him down.

Ara then paired the rings with the engraving of their names on Xavier's fingers. After succeeding he then looked at Xavier and smiled broadly.

Guests cheered and applauded.

The show went well.

Now the smiling couple in front of there is officially engaged and soon will be getting married.

"Are you tired of honey?" tanya Xavier helps Ara remove the dress that Ara was wearing.

Ara just nodded. Legs ache. His head also began to hurt.

"Let's help you take a shower. Then massage your feet."

They also took a shower together. Then come out with just a towel. Enter the walk in closet.

Ara just kept quiet. Xavier did it all.

Xavier laid Ara on the bed and began massaging her legs. Since Ara was pregnant she would always massage her fiance's legs.

Xavier actually kept his promise by paying more attention to Ara. Xavier always comes home early. If his job is not very important he will prefer to work from home.

Xavier stopped his massage and looked at Ara. Apparently his fiancee was asleep. Ara must be tired especially with her pregnant condition.

Xavier then rubbed the stomach that had started to look at the lump and kissed him and said good night to his son.

Xavier then lay down next to Ara, hugging and picking up the blanket, enveloping herself and the woman in her arms.

Xavier kissed that forehead long ago. Soon he and Ara will get married and become a happy family.

Xavier smiles. Should he build an orphanage as a sign of thanks to God for sending him a woman like Ara.

She is pregnant with baby mini Xavier. Xavier then closed his eyes, following Ara into the dream world.

I can't wait for that day to come.
