After years of being best friends, Kayla finally gets discouraged by Kenzie's carefree treatment. During this time, she has harbored obsessive feelings towards Kayla, and Kenzie's attitude of thinking of her as his own leaves Kayla feeling constrained and unappreciated as an independent individual.

All this time he can still be silent and accept all the treatment of Kenzie which he thinks is unreasonable and pretend nothing happened. He felt that he should gain freedom and be valued as a true friend, not as Kenzie's property.
