Chapter 8. Lesehan warung

Rania screamed loudly when a hand touched her shoulder, as the cold pierced her body to the bone. Eve comes from behind her body.

The giggling sound of laughter alone made Rania shocked half to death. But he managed to gather guts and then he ran fast.

Rania's breathing gasped, carrying a flashlight with trembling hands, she continued to run even though she didn't know where the footsteps would take her.

Where are you guys? Where is!

Rania was fretting, she was alone there in a gripping atmosphere. There was no trace of his friend there. Rania wonders to herself, is she the one who got lost or did her friends leave her?

"Where are you? Ivan, Rendra, Nita, Mila!!" Shouted Rania calling out the names of her friends.

The sound of Rania's screams echoed in the forest. It was just dark and dark, with no one there, not even the sound of night animals was heard like in the forest in general.

"Guys..Where are you?" Rania looked back and forth, looking for whoever was there.

Then as he turned around, he saw an old woman with a stooped body. His hand waved, as if asking Rania to approach him.

"Who?" muttered Rania wondering, both eyes widened looking at the figure of the grandmother.

"Come son! Take it easy, you are safe." said the grandmother in a hoarse voice, the old woman smiled kindly at Rania. He didn't look as creepy as the magical figure he had seen before.

Sweat Rania splashed, she was confused as to how and what to do. She didn't know about the grandmother, was she human or something like them?

Is he a ghost? Is that grandma the same as them? He looked normal, he even smiled when he saw me. But is it normal to have a grandmother in the middle of the forest, early in the morning like this? It doesn't make any sense!

Both of Rania's eyes were still widened staring at the grandmother, her forehead still wrinkled. The grandmother was still standing there and calling Rania. "here's boy! I'm not like them" said the old woman trying to convince Rania.

Rania starts to rack her brain again, she starts to think that the grandmother is human. How could a demon or a genie talk to him like that?

Slowly approaching towards the grandmother, Rania looked at her wrinkled face and there was a thin smile engraved on her lips. "Grandmother.." said Rania while watching the grandmother's face.

There was nothing strange about his face, he was not scary and he was friendly.

"Cu, come with grandma yuk! Grandma's gonna show them a safe place." Take the old woman to Rania.

"Wait a minute, whose grandma and why are you here alone?" Rania did not believe the old woman in front of her, even though she looked like a human.

"Don't be afraid cu, grandma's not like them! Grandma lives here and grandma hears you screaming, so grandma's here. Grandma had guessed that they must be bothering you." The grandmother held Rania's hand.

Her hands were cold, like this grandmother was not like them.

Rania followed the grandmother to the safe place she was accused of. After spending approximately 5 minutes, Rania and the old woman arrived at a house that had a stall in front of her.

Rania gulped, she was surprised to see there was a house and a lesehan stall there, in the middle of the forest. It doesn't make any sense!

Why can there be houses and lesehan stalls in the middle of the forest?

"Come on, come on in! Grandma will make you food.you must be hungry and thirsty." The grandmother smiled kindly at Rania, then she walked deeper into her house behind the lesehan stall. He asks Rania to sit down first, while he prepares the food.

"Thank you, Grandma" replied Rania while sitting on one of the pillows of the lesehan stall. Rania's eyes pay attention to the surroundings, trying to digest whether what she sees is real.

It's really a stall and a house. But why is it in the middle of the forest?

Moments later, the grandmother brought a tray containing a bowl of noodles and a glass of water. Rania also helped the grandmother to bring her tramp. "Mom, let me help you."

"Thank you,"

Rania kept the tray on the table, then she and the grandmother sat on the floor of Lesehan. "Sorry yes cu, the food supply at my grandmother's house is exhausted and only boiled noodles remain the same as eggs."

"It's okay Grandma, thank you for helping me to bring me all the food." Rania smiled, her eyes staring at the boiled noodles that were in the bowl.

The noodles look normal, they look good. But I don't know why I feel something is strange?

Rania choked on hearing that, "Sorry Grandma, I didn't mean that. I'll eat the noodle coke," Rania felt bad making the grandmother think a no-no about her cooking.

Slowly Rania ate her noodles, either because of hunger or something. Rania had spent only half of the noodles, the taste was delicious even though she smelled fishy from the lake.

"No grandma, I'm with my friend. But I am separated from them" answered Rania while eating her noodles.

"You should not have come here after being reminded by Mbah Jambrong." The old woman sighed.

"Bah Jambrong? I'm sorry, Grandma, but who do you mean?" Rania stared intently at the old woman in front of her.

"Before you came here, there was an old man who forbade you from entering this forest, right?" The old grandmother asked.

Rania felt tremendous pressure when the grandmother talked about Mbah Jambrong's figure. His heart was racing, suddenly his hands were trembling.

"You've been told, ngeyel! Then, Mbah Jambrong said what did you guys do before you got in here?" the Grandma asked as she looked at Rania sharply, in contrast to the friendly gaze earlier.

The warmth and attention of the grandmother disappeared in an instant, changing into a chill.

"The grandfather said he would eat you! At that time you will regret it. I don't understand what it means." replied Rania fretfully, not daring to stare at the old woman.

Suddenly the grandmother got up from her seat and walked away leaving Rania alone there. Rania wondered in her heart, Where is the grandmother going?

Rania continued to eat her noodles, but she was surprised when she looked at the mirror in front of her. "W-what..."

The girl coughed, regurgitated her drink. His mouth was bleeding, out of nowhere the blood came from. "Blood...Beverage is blood?!" Rania screamed in fear. Now her tongue was completely numb and she felt that something was really wrong with the lesehan stall.

Rania stood up, she stepped out of the old grandmother's lesehan stall. He was about to reach the door, but all of a sudden...

The door was tightly shut like someone was pushing it. Rania had already made it to the door, yet she could not open it.

Suddenly the wind blew towards Rania. The strong gust of wind even made Rania's hair tie come off and her hair decompose long waving.

"Don't eat it when you say parents!" Exclaimed the grandmother with a firm and angry voice.

Rania did not dare to look back, she held the doorknob and was still trying to open it. "Please, I just want to go home.I promise I won't come again." ask Rania to the old woman crying.

"Radent always comes at the end, you should listen to Mbah Jambrong! Because of your stubbornness, maybe you and your friends can't get out of here alive!" The grandmother said as she looked at Rania sharply.

Rania raised her head, she looked at the grandmother who had now changed. His face looked sinister, his eyes were threatening to Rania, his face was bloody. Now the grandmother who had been slouching, can stand straight.

"I beg your grandmother, help me and my friends to get out of here.I beg you.hiks..." Rania could not hold back the restless tears that had been blocked from earlier. He begged the grandmother to let him go as well as his four other friends.
