The Grudge-Eater (III)

Reva could already guess what would happen when Antok walked close to the cliff where Edelweiss primadona was growing. When Arimbi asked for the flower, he explained that the plant was growing in a place that was too dangerous, but it seems he thought that Reva would not obey that desire and asked Antok, who was the one who wanted it, the guy who also likes her to make Reva jealous.

Ai... If you knew how sweet it would be to be your girlfriend...

Reva rushes, moving as fast as he is able to chase Antok when the cliff that the guy stepped on starts to crack. Reva thought nothing of it when he grabbed Antok's hand which started to move frantically when the rock under his foot avalanche and threatened to take him along. With a powerful jolt, Antok is saved, but it seems not to be the case with Reva. The thrust of his body as he rushed, made Reva unable to stop herself properly, and mired into the abyss...

"Revaaa...!!!"

Arimbi's hysterical scream immediately made the entire climbing group turn their heads and broke the fray in a strengthening sense of panic. The faint sound of rocks falling from the rim of the cliff and hitting the bottom of the ravine further increased the fear of every member of the group.

"Arimbi! Stop it..!"

The girl seems to have lost her mind. Suddenly, in intense fear and guilt, he tried to run to the side of the cliff. Fortunately, one of the group members managed to stop him.

"Please. REVAAAA...!!!"

"ARIMBI! QUIET DOWN!"

For some time, the girl rebelled as strongly as she could. The tears on his face looked very sad. But the screams from under the cliff immediately stopped his struggle.

"Aiiii, diem there. Don't get near the cliff. Va good, just step up!"

Antok, who was still stunned and lying on the edge of the cliff, immediately slapped his body and looked down. He laughed loudly, though unable to hide the relief shakes.

"Cuuuk, you lizard! You fucking cliff goat!"

Reva's pale face, looking up, wrapped in a whimper of jail that was slightly webbed with a sense of horror. His hand gripped a thread of the roots of the plant firmly, and began to look for a foothold for his journey back to the rim of the cliff. His legs were steady and he began to be confident despite not using a safety rope. He began to see hope after his previous near-death experience, faintly, he could already imagine how wonderful his experience was when the story spread that he, savagely after the heroic action of rescue, could have been, which made him fall into the abyss. And he had even imagined a face full of tears that would embrace him gratefully when he reached the top later. The face of the girl he loved, who would adore him wholeheartedly, when his hero arrived, survived and brought the flowers he wanted.

A smile was firmly imprinted on her lips, as Reva drew closer to the spot where the flower had grown. A little more effort, and he will be able to reach it. A single point of stone protruding between the cracks, it is very easy to hold, and will give access to the flower. Reva picked up points and started putting more pressure on the rock when things were not going as he expected.

That point did hold up, but as it turned out, there was something living among the cracks around that stone point, and apparently this creature feels threatened by the pressure and activity that occurs around him live. Reva's hand that shifted the wall around the crack he perceived as a threat and directly attacked from within the crack hole where he lived.

Reva didn't think there were any animals living around that point. A puncture-like feeling that carried a biting hot sensation grabbed his palm, and reflexively, he released the handle and for a moment, he felt as free as the birds in the sky as his body floated down at a crushing speed...

The roar of the storm outside was getting weaker, as if the wind was starting to run out of steam after raging for some time without pause. Even the rain seemed tired, leaving only a few weak points of water to hit the roof when finally, Typhoon was able to withdraw from the flood of memories belonging to Reva. Despite glimpses of events about how the guy kept trying to smile and joke around on a simple stretcher made by the group members to evaluate him, about how he knew that his life would not last long, because there's a broken bone and it's ripping off his lungs, or how the guy kasmaran resigned and still feel to be the happiest man on earth because dying on the mountain and awaited by the woman he loves, he said, still alternately appeared and teased the awareness of the Typhoon. But he flinched. As powerful as possible, the Typhoon suppressed those various tastes and memories.

He was only able to sigh heavily, trying to calm down and when his eyes saw a small smile wrapped in sadness on Arimbi's face, Typhoon moved away and returned to the corner where he was before.

He took a cigarette out of his pocket and lit it in one fell swoop, then put it on the ashtray on the table as prayers began to build up in his heart.

May you walk back to the Creator, Bro. This is all I can do to take you away...

The breeze of the morning breeze shook the various plants that woke the young man up. For a moment, he seemed confused when he saw where he was lying when later, it seemed that his consciousness had gathered. He began to tidy up his long hair and stood up while patting the dust stuck to his clothes.

"Ray's? Abo?"

"Guys, where are you?"

Kay sighed and chose to sit on one of the chairs on the terrace. Although she is now back in the gospel house, Kay still does not have enough courage to face what she has to finish.

Ah, maybe mengedan me to Mr. RT only first. At least let no one wonder about the laughter last night..

Slowly, Kay began dragging a step and washing her face using the remaining water from the drink bottle in her bag, and stepped out.

At the very least, I will make this house worth living in again, he thought.

The conversation that followed various creepy events last night had made Kay rethink the various decisions she had made before. Like not liking, he has to face it.

Arborite's explanation of the spirit world actually provided a very imposing point of view. One type of spirit that is dangerous for living humans is he who Kay had met last night, the Vengeful Eater.

The evil spirits formed by spirits who are tormented by guilt and immersed in these various negative emotions are very dangerous. This spirit is very attached to the human world and preys on the soul with the aim that he can again feel what he has lost before, especially the soul of a living human who has a burden of sadness and various regrets are very strong. And unfortunately, the spirits of both his parents had every one of these conditions. Kay can't wait any longer...

But at the very least, I need to tidy up the house first. At least Mom and Dad will be able to smile when the house they love is not too messy, Kay thought.

His steps strengthened as hope began to fill the dark hole in his heart. At least two ugly ghosts can be invited to chat and his life is no longer too quiet, he thought again when a smile began to loom in his heart.

As the warmth came with the sun, the young man began to accept the various things that happened in his life, unraveling the various knots that have continued to bind his feelings and heart since his parents died.

Huh, what will happen, happens. After all, I am still my father's great son!

And this time, Kay could really smile....
