041 - THE EMPEROR'S ANGER

When Ravenna De Ville's army was decisively defeated, the news was immediately heard by the emperor's subordinates.

When morning approached, the emperor Salerno De Santis who was enjoying his morning cup of tea was surprised by the arrival of his personal assistant who rushed in until he forgot to knock on the door first.

"Did you forget how ethics met me?!" salerno De Santis jolts at his accomplice.

"I'm sorry, Your Majesty, but I must get this news to you immediately."

"What news?"

"The subordinates of Ravenna De Ville have all been killed."

The shocked Emperor Salerno De Santis immediately spouted out his tea and gave a sharp snort. "What?! Why can my subordinates be killed all?! Who slaughtered my men!"

Salerno De Santis clearly did not accept that there was someone who did not respect him by slaughtering all his men. Killing Salerno De Santis' subordinates is tantamount to challenging him blatantly.

"It's all Rome's doing said Ravenna De Ville."

"Bad! So, the Roman who has challenged me like this! How dare he kill all my men!" emperor Salerno De Santis.

The guard bowed respectfully and left from before the emperor. Then he went to Palermo Mancini and asked him to face the emperor immediately.

"Emperor wants me to face immediately?" palermo Mancini asked as soon as the emperor's personal bodyguard arrived at his place.

"Yes, sir, the emperor Salerno De Santis wants you to face him now."

Palermo Mancini who was relaxing in his room immediately went to face the emperor by being escorted by the personal guard.

Soon the door to the throne room of the emperor swung open and Palermo Mancini went inside.

"Greetings to the Emperor Salerno De Santis. Palermo Mancini is facing you." Palermo Mancini bowed respectfully in front of the emperor.

"I have an important task for you" said the emperor, who made Palermo Mancini wonder.

"What duty is that, Your Majesty?"

"I want you to capture Rome and bring her alive to me" Salerno De Santis ordered.

"Rome? Ah, the troublemaker?"

"Yes, you know he looks like."

Palermo Mancini smiled faintly. "Who does not know him, Your Majesty. Although there is no mention of who slaughtered the association's top brass, but I know he did."

Emperor Salerno De Santis stroked his chin. "I'm amazed you seem quite capable, Palermo. It's not in vain that I make you my accomplice."

Palermo Mancini throws a smile of gratitude at hearing the praise of the emperor. "I'm flattered to be praised by you, emperor Salerno De Santis."

"Obviously don't let me down on the mission this time."

In addition to serving as a direct subordinate of the emperor Salerno De Santis, Palermo Mancini was the leader of the Order of the Holy Ring. He has a much more capable army than Ravenna De Ville.

Thus, the emperor felt that Palermo Mancini could capture Rome easily, and the emperor also believed that Palermo Mancini's forces were not easily defeated.

"Roma and his minions seemed to be hiding in the wilderness of the forest after finishing off my men," the emperor continued to give the information he had heard from his other men.

Palermo then returned to his room, which was separated from the palace building owned by the emperor. The man laid his back on the chair, then laughed out loud as his head began to devise various kinds of plans for revenge.

"Arthur, bring me a bottle of alcohol!" palermo Mancini's orders to his personal servant.

"Good, Sir." The bodyguard retrieved a bottle of alcohol from Palermo mancini's private storage room.

"Geez, that old man is so stupid!" Palermo Mancini laughed again.

His laughter was bouncing on the ceiling. He really did not think Salerno De Santis trusted him just like that without feeling suspicious at all.

Good thing for him because he can launch an act of revenge easily.

"It seems you are happy today, sir," said the bodyguard when he found Palermo Mancini's face relaxed as usual.

Even the man laughed out loud.

"Just as time goes by, my goal will be achieved, Arthur."

"Then I'm happy that your goal will soon be achieved." The man's bodyguard then poured the wine into a tall glass and gave it to Palermo Mancini.

"Of course, you should be happy because soon you'll be given a higher rank!"

"really?"

"Of course!"

Palermo laughed again. The man stood up and stepped near the large glass window.

His vineyard stretched from end to end, nicely framed in the window of his private room.

Palermo Mancini had other plans, he would not follow the plans of the emperor Salerno De Santis.

"Arthur, gather my troops tonight."

"Good, Sir."

"Why did you bring us all together tonight? Is there any important news?" one of the higher-ups who was holding the Aries Star Ring had an open voice.

Palermo Mancini just smiled mysteriously.

 Invite the curiosity of other members. Palermo Mancini deliberately assembled an army to deliver his revenge plan.

"Of course, I'm going to deliver an important piece of news for all of us."

The four high-ranking members of the Order of the Holy Ring put on a serious face and listened to what Palermo Mancini was going to say.

"Yes. I can already make the emperor believe me and fool him." Palermo Mancini laughed loudly, followed by another laugh.

This was the most important night of his life. His journey has just begun. All this time he deliberately tricked the emperor to gain his trust and betrayed him. That was the original purpose of a Palermo Mancini.

"We're going to get revenge!" exclaim Palermo Mancini who in sahut the cry of his troops with enthusiasm.

Together with the four Star Ring holders, Palermo Mancini then devised a strategy to get his revenge.

They had a discussion last night for the sake of a successful plan. They can't just strategize and put their own lives at risk.

Palermo Mancini did not want to lose his army even one man, let alone lose one of the higher-ups of the order.

So, Palermo Mancini and the four Star Ring holders discussed how they would avenge him on the Emperor Salerno De Santis.

"You're sure this plan will work, Palermo?" ask the one who holds the Virgo Ring.

"I'm sure we'll make it with this plan. You guys don't have to worry. The emperor has completely believed in me. So, you don't have to hesitate and just execute all these plans."
