043 - FIERCE FIGHT BETWEEN STAR RING USERS

"Would the fireplace work?" ask Milan to Roma who are cleaning the living room.

"Don't know, why don't you just try?"

Milan clucked, he was actually lazy to look for firewood in the forest. His body feels sore and needs rest.

"I know you're tired, don't look for firewood, I found a pile of wood in the basement" said Roma who immediately made both eyes sparkle.

Milan then went straight to the basement, and sure enough there was a pile of firewood that had been cut and ready to be used.

"Well! Whoever owned this house before may you be protected! I'm grateful because thanks to you, I don't need to find firewood in the woods!" Milan then immediately brought the wood up and burned it in the fireplace.

Warm Eve crept straight into the house, making Rome that was originally tense can now be a little more relaxed.

The young man was worried that someone might find his mark in the forest, though Leo had repeatedly covered their tracks, but Rome was still anxious.

"Just relax, I've covered our tracks. So, no one would have expected us to go to this place," Leo said when he found Roma's face unceasingly frowning anxiously.

"I know, it's just that my feelings haven't been good. I feel like someone's on the way here."

Rome looked at the tight trees in front of her. This old cottage is very difficult to find because it is located in the deep forest and steep terrain to reach this place.

Even Rome was sure she would have been lost if it wasn't for Tere.

It was thanks to Milan that they were able to take shelter in a wooden hut hidden in a dense forest.

"How do you know there's an old cottage here?" roma asked Milan who was cleaning the floor so as not to dust.

"I'll check the situation outside" Leo said. The cat jumped off Rome's shoulder and walked off.

"No need, I can guarantee the environment here is safe," prevent Milan. He wanted to make his party members rest tonight and not have to be on guard.

"Leo is right, we have to check the situation outside, Milan. I've been feeling bad since."

"Well, you heard that, right? So, I'm gonna go out." Leo continued his steps.

"Aren't you looking for a female, Leo?" milan's tease that makes Leo snort annoyed.

"Just your own business!"

Milan chuckles amusedly. He knew very well Leo just reasoned to want to keep the situation outside, even though the male cat would want to find another female cat.

"Basic cat!"

It's getting dark. They decided to sleep in the same place for the night because Rome insisted that it was not completely safe.

Leo also has not returned from his surveillance, the three of them are not worried about the cat because they think Leo must be looking for a female.

However, all that peaceful atmosphere was instantly ended when something hit the door hard and Leo burst in with a gasp of breath.

"God! Can you not cause a commotion?! You made me a hanger!" milan grouse on Leo.

His heart almost fell to the floor thinking there was an intruder coming in.

"What's up?!" roma asked as soon as he found the look on Leo's face panicked.

"W-There's someone coming here!" squealed Leo with a choked voice.

Roma, and Milan immediately jumped to their feet and prepared with their respective weapons.

"Who's on his way here?!" milan panicked. He held his gun to the front of his chest.

"I don't know, they were a lot and brought wolves. If there's such a big creature soon they'll find us! We need to get out of here!"

But it's too late. The wolf pack belonging to Palermo Mancini first found the old hut.

The wolves roared loudly, inviting the Palermo Mancini troops to approach.

"There!" palermo Mancini exclaimed to his squad members. "Strike those who are in the hut! But don't hurt them!"

Members of the Palermo Mancini army immediately surrounded the old hut. Roma and his team members were in a panic. Roma berated in the heart because it had lowered his sense of caution for a moment.

Now, they're surrounded and they don't have a strategy to impede that army or escape from this.

"Is there a way out other than the front door?" roma asked Milan who only answered the trousers. "Damn!"

Rome is completely surrounded. There was no choice but to defend and counter-attack.

Rome tried to close her eyes, estimating how formidable the enemy in front was.

Roma directed his team to hide in the basement. The wolf pack started to barge in through the window.

Wood chips scattered everywhere made Rome even more panicked.

Rome tried to resist the attacks of wolves and members of the army. Assisted by Milan who are not as strong as him.

While Leo is already nowhere to be seen where his nose is. Maybe the cat was hiding to gather more information.

Rome managed to make the wolf and the members of the army bounced out.

Seeing his members defeated quite easily by Roma made Palermo Mancini smile.

He was really interested in the advantages of Rome who held the CIncin Star more than one like him.

It was just that Rome kept it to herself while Palermo Mancini gave the three that he had to select members in the Order of the Holy Ring.

"Capture him" Palermo told members of his army to storm the old hut.

If this fight continues then Milan and Leo will be in danger.

The young man was lying on the ground with his hands and feet locked by Palermo Mancini.

Rome and Milan looked at each other.

"Whatchu mean? Aren't you looking for me to kill me?"

"Yes, indeed. The emperor himself ordered me to kill you. But, I have a better plan."

"What's that?"

"Join me."

"What?" Roma really do not understand, why Palermo suddenly asked him to join his. "Why do you want me to join?"

"Because our purpose is the same. You want to eliminate the Emperor, don't you? Then our purpose means the same."

"So, you have a personal grudge against the emperor and asked me to join you?" Rome snorting. "What's in it for me to join you?"

"One of your goals will be achieved, right? You want to eliminate the emperor, and so do I. So, why don't you and your friends just join me?"

"What's your reason for just eliminating the emperor?"

"Not really."

"Then?"

"You're a Star Ring user, right? I don't want star ring users roaming free and making troublemakers. Well, even if you're not that kind of person, the Star Ring is dangerous.

Many people wanted the Star Ring and made many countries fight just to get it. So, I want to keep it to myself to destroy this ridiculous war to stop."

What Palermo said confused Rome, but she had to follow him.

Actually with the power of the system, he didn't really lose. He can still easily defeat them.

It's just that the system says it's possible that it can get more information and beat them from the inside.
