045 - ANOTHER PLAN

Palermo Mancini takes his new recruits to headquarters in a horse-drawn carriage so that Roma and his friends can hide.

It's impossible for them to go on foot. Rome would be immediately captured and tried by the emperor.

Palermo was not so stupid as to carry out a suicide bombing and destroy the plans he had been putting together for years.

Finally after hours of hiding in the horse carriage, they finally reached the headquarters of the Holy Ring Order's army.

"You can go out" said Palermo Mancini.

Rome peeked around before jumping down from the horse carriage.

It was followed by Milan. While Leo jumps down from one of the laps of a member of the Holy Ring who is holding the Virgo Star Ring.

The black cat did not have to bother hiding because he was a cat.

"You're sure your base is safe from the palace's soldiers?" ask Roma to make sure.

Usually because Palermo Mancini was a trusted member of the emperor, there would be many soldiers going back and forth inside the headquarters.

"Just relax, my base is sterile. There was no one from the palace that I allowed inside. Well, except for the emperor himself. I'm just a slave, right?"

Palermo Mancini shrugged his shoulders lightly as if it was not a problem to worry about. "There will be someone standing guard outside, you take it easy. They're gonna tell me someone's coming."

"Your headquarters is in the middle of the city. It will be difficult for us to move" said Milan.

Also true. Rome was unthinkable to get there because it was too focused on observing the surroundings and making sure its friends were safe and not caught by the palace soldiers.

They all then entered into the headquarters of the Holy Ring Order which was quite extensive.

Clearly, they were the official army of the emperor and also one of the strongest forces of all time. Palermo Mancini headed an army that held the Star Ring directly, plus he also held the Star Ring himself.

"Of course I will go to the emperor's headquarters and report you. But, I'll postpone your death report first"

"Why?"

"Because I want the emperor to trust me more. I'll report you and your men are leaving the capital and I need some time to find you. Well, we will use that time to devise a strategy to overthrow the emperor. How's it?"

"Sounds good. So, we're just waiting here? While you were the emperor's slaves?" roma asked that made Palermo Mancini chuckle.

"Your sentence is very rude, but I am indeed only a slave who cannot refuse the orders of the emperor Salerno De Santis."

"Well, we'll follow all your plans. But, remember, I don't want to be here too long. First of all, I don't like wasting my time. And secondly, we could have been caught sitting in one place. You understand this, don't you?"

Palermo Mancini certainly understands. He is also not that stupid, he will make sure his new members are safe for the sake of his plan to run smoothly.

"Just calm. I'll make sure this plan goes perfectly and you can reach your goal. So do I. So, please rest. My men will escort you to your rooms."

Members of the order holding the Virgo Ring then escorted Rome and her friends upstairs.

"You seriously believe it?" ask Leo when no one is in the room. It is still difficult to accept that Rome now trusts others.

"For the moment yes. He gave me a reasonable reason to believe it."

"You know this could just be a trap, right?" ask Leo again.

Rome knows. The percentage is 50:50. It could be that Palermo Mancini was intent on trapping him and all his words were lies, but did not rule out the possibility that the words he said were completely true.

He may want to avenge his family.

But Roma have little choice at the moment but to trust Palermo Mancini.

 After all, if the man intended to betray, Rome had already prepared all sorts of means to defeat the man.

The fight with Palermo some time ago made Rome understand every movement and attack launched by the man.

Meanwhile, Palermo Mancini was laughing loudly inside his soundproof room. His personal waiter then served a glass of Palermo's favorite red wine as the man returned to the room.

"Geez, I can't believe they're all easy to fool!" Palermo laughed again.

Suddenly there was a loud knock on the door. Palermo was shocked and told his personal servant to open the door. Apparently a member of the order of Virgo Ring holders who came to his room.

"Ah, you turned out. I thought Rome was coming." Palermo breathed a sigh of relief.

"This is your plan, isn't it?"

"Of course not!" Palermo Mancini laughed again.

Unfortunately, overthrowing the empire was not his main plan. Palermo Mancini tricked two people at once.

He tricked the emperor and Rome. Palermo Mancini only wanted to keep the twelve Star Rings alone.

"So, when are we going to the capital to report to the Emperor?" ask the members of the order who hold the Virgo Ring.

"Tonight we'll all go to the capital to report."

"Okay, then I'll excuse you." The Virgo Ring-holder then bowed respectfully and sauntered out of Palermo Mancini's private room.

In keeping with Palermo Mancini's promise to Rome and her friends. They were all then preparing to go to the capital.

"You're all ready?" roma asked to make sure Milan and Leo were covered perfectly with their disguises using long robes.

Palermo Mancini gave them a complete disguise so as not to be caught by the soldiers in the capital.

"A ready. I'm envious of Leo because he doesn't have to disguise himself like this" Milan grumbled. He glanced at Leo who had been busy licking his fur.

"Then be a cat, you don't have to deal with troublesome humans."

"You're dealing with humans, too, fool!" milan pat Leo on the back.

"Hey, don't touch my fur! I cleaned it up!" furious Leo. The black cat again licked the fur that had just been touched by Milan.

"What would we do if one of us was found out?" ask Milan who made everything quiet.

Rome throws a faint smile. "You'll be safe with me, so don't split up. I'll make sure we're all safe."

Rome would not allow any of her friends to be caught by the royal warriors.

Being arrested means dead. Rome could not let one of her friends die in vain. Not before their goal is all achieved.

"Good, we all believe in you, Roma."

Roma combed one by one the eye beads of his team members. He has been trusted by all of them, so Rome must not disappoint its members.

Roma think his decision to trust Palermo Mancini is not a wrong decision. In silence, Roma also thought of a plan in case Palermo just set them all up.
