Two Twins Separated

Two Twins Separated
15 | IN THE RAIN

Tomorrow at school. The rain wraps, though not too heavy. Vian entered the class. As usual, with every rain pouring down, the students would arrive more slowly. It's like a hereditary tradition. But he wasn't alone, Kevin was in class, staring out the window.

"Yo, Kevin Ardhana. How should I call you?" Vian tried to talk to him. Kevin turned around, fixed his glasses.

"Kevins. That's all, "he replied. His gaze was cold, as cold as the weather back then.

"You come in the morning too. Where's your house?"

"Lati Road. You're Alvian, right?" Kevin guess.

Vian smiled, nodding to agree.

"Yes. It just so happens that you're here. There's something I want to ask you. Looks like you're the only one who can answer my question."

Kevin raised his head, allowing Vian to ask.

"simple. Who is Erva?"

Lightning snatched after Vian finished his sentence. The rain is getting louder, it looks like it will last. Vian brought himself closer to Kevin, in order to hear his voice. I heard Kevin's long breath.

"Don't you also know who Erva is?" Kevin returned Vian's question.

Vian was getting confused. "I only know Reva, not Erva. Looks like you upside down mentioned his name."

Kevin looked at Vian, putting on a confused face. "He's Erva, not Reva. I didn't reverse her name. His name is like that."

The explanation is not understood yet Vian. He gave a look as if to say how it could be like that.

"Of course you can. I've known him since Junior High, we're classmates. Her name is Arselya Erva" Kevin continued.

"alright. But one strange thing, why doesn't Reva recognize you? Haven't you known her since Junior High?" ask Vian.

Kevin took a long breath. "That's what confused me. Erva, since Junior High she is known as a quiet, cold, and indifferent child. Every day in class. He also does not like to hang out with others. Until finally he had no friends. I, who is in her class, also do not dare to approach her. Sometimes I see him daydreaming, I don't know what he's thinking. Like there's a big problem he's got."

Vian interrupted the conversation. "But are you sure you're not wrong? I mean their nature is very different when compared to Junior High with the current one."

"The nature is inversely proportional. But I'm pretty sure it's impossible to misidentify people. Her face was really similar to the one I met in Junior High. There can't be anyone like that, except twins."

Lightning blaring. Vian was silent for a moment hearing Kevin's explanation.

"really. What might you meet that-"

"No way, Alvian. Erva doesn't have a twin sister." Kevin looked at Vian, interrupting his conversation. Vian's forehead folded.

"What if they are separate twin brothers?"

Vian's question made Kevin shake his head, gesturing like saying don't joke. "No, that's not possible. I've seen Erva's self-data, in the Administrative Room. He was an only child, his father had died. She lives with her mother in Shomba. Even though I'm myopic, I can't possibly get the data wrong" Kevin explained.

"Then have you ever had another High School with him?" Vian asked again.

Kevin lowered his head, then looked back at the specks of rain through the window.

"No. After graduating from Junior High, I never saw her again. I think it's natural that he doesn't recognize me because he and I were not familiar. But as for the name that suddenly changed, I got confused."

Vian fell silent, looked at Kevin's explanation, then thought. "Maybe something happened to him. It's possible."

Suddenly Kevin looked at Vian, this time very seriously. "I saw him go to a psychiatrist. Time I don't really remember, but I'm sure there's no way I could have seen it wrong. He went to consult there. It might have something to do with it."

"The connection that he has multiple personalities." Kevin's answer was immediately accompanied by a lightning strike. This time his voice was louder than before.

"What's? But how is it possible? Don't make a direct conclusion!" Kevin's words sound like a joke to Vian.

"I'm not kidding. I was walking at the time. By ourselves. I passed a psychiatric clinic. But all of a sudden I saw Erva, opening the door to the clinic, walking out. I squinted my eyes, seeing it more clearly. As I approached him, it turned out to be true. That was Erva. I saw him carrying a piece of paper and a plastic bag. When I called out to him, he looked at me for a moment, and immediately ran. That's where I figured he had a psychological problem."

"Maybe your guess may be true. But you can't take a conclusion like that. You can't prove it yet, can you?"

"The girl had a different name and nature. Obviously he has a psychological problem, multiple personalities!" add Kevin in a slightly high tone.

Meanwhile, Vian could only be silent. Eager to refute it, but Vian had no strong arguments. "Yes, maybe."

Kevin nodded, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "Although I don't really know Erva that well, I'm sure she's a good kid. Yes, behind that cold and indifferent attitude. Oh yeah, sometimes I catch him staring at a necklace, a bracelet, or whatever it's called."

Vian's eyes were rounded. "What thing?"

"Necklace. Ah, no. Actually it was a bracelet, but he hung the bracelet around his neck using a small rope. Be like a necklace" explained Kevin while remembering.

"What is the bracelet he made the necklace made of gold and there is a name?" ask Vian again.

Kevin looked at her, then nodded. "Made of gold, yes. But about the name on the bracelet, I don't know. That's what reinforces my argument when you see that girl you call Reva. The necklace she wore was the same as Erva. No mistake, she's Erva."

Vian was silent for a moment. He again thought, about the necklace, the plan. It's only been a few days since the necklace was assembled for Reva, but Kevin suddenly said he had seen Erva when SMP was wearing a similar necklace. His thoughts were coupled with Reva's dream that he saw a woman giving a birthday gift in the form of a gold bracelet to her two twins.

"Hey, what's up?" kevin's question breaks Vian's daydream. He shook his head slowly, but still kept thinking about it.

"The rain is still very heavy. Class was also still very quiet," Vian switched the conversation. He saw his watch. "It's 07:01."

"Eh, you guys look really good." A girl's voice surprised them. Vian and Kevin turned their heads together, finding Reva standing behind them with a big smile.

"Reva?"

"Erva?"

Their voices sounded simple. While Reva frowned. He took off his jacket, folded it, and put it in the desk drawer.

"When did you come?" ask Vian.

"just now. You guys get along really fast. What are you guys talking about?" Reva asked back, making Vian and Kevin look at each other. Their eyes seemed to hint not to tell Reva about what they had just discussed.

Vian smiled. "none. We just talk a little." He then nudged Kevin's hand slowly, inviting him to work together.

"Ah, yes. Just talk about this school. I happen to not know the environment here very well" Kevin continued.

"Oh, so. It turns out you can get along quickly. Vian is great too, can make Kevin talk casually." Reva gave a thumbs up, praising Vian.

"of course. Praise me again!" vian Goda.

Reva brushed it off, put on a sullen face. "No, that's. I took back my words about the compliment. I won't praise you anymore!"

"Tompeak again." Vian patted Reva's head softly while laughing.

The day went by longer because the rain never stopped. Learning is also hampered by it.
