VENORA: Assassin and Psychopath

Ryden gulped down the wine while looking out the window of his room. Police cars passed through his house. Some of the police seem to be busy today. Ryden sat on the sofa while putting the little remaining wine glass onto the table. The man imitated the lounge in Granada's house by putting sofas and tables near the windows.

His memory goes back to the katana he saw at Granada's house.

** Flashback **

Brenda and Ryden get out of the car that stops in front of the mansion. Brenda hugged Ryden's arm. Both entered the house.

"You have to see my father" said Brenda. "I'm sure he likes you."

"You're sure, Mr Hardiawan will like me?" Ask Ryden.

Brenda nodded. "Why not? You're handsome and nice. He must like you. You're better than my previous ex-boyfriends."

There was a middle-aged man sitting on a rocking chair. Ryden's gaze was fixed on the two katanas mounted across the wall.

"Dad, this is my girlfriend, Ryden." Brenda introduces Ryden to her father Hardiawan.

Hardiawan was a high official of government who was highly respected by the people around him.

As Ryden reached out his hand, the middle-aged man did not accept it.

"I heard you're unemployed who rely on your parents' inheritance money. I can't trust my daughter to you" said Hardiawan cynically.

"Dad." Brenda whining.

"You see those two swords? I just came back from Japan and bought it. Maybe you think it's a decorative sword. The sword was genuine and could split the human body in two," Hardiawan said with a gaze fixed on the two blades of the katana.

Brenda folded her hands together while snorting in annoyance.

Hardiawan looked back at Ryden. "If you're still approaching my daughter, you're the first to feel how sharp the sword is."

A few days later, news of Hardiawan's death spread. Ryden saw the news.

Ryden saw the reporter enter Hardiawan's house and covered the news there. The man frowned looking at the two katanas stuck on the wall nothing.

When he came to Hardiawan's house to see the state of Brenda, it turns out that the two katanas did not exist. He asked Brenda.

"I don't know. Maybe the killer stole it."

** end Flashback **

Ryden believes Hardiawan's missing katana is the same katana he saw at Granada's house.

"Hmm, is he really an assassin? It's unbelievable" Ryden murmured.

He took his phone and then fiddled with it. While seriously fiddling with his phone, the phone came in.

Ryden picked up the call. "What else is it? You want to scold me?"

"You better get ready, Ryden. I'll get you off the family card" said one man from across the street.

"You're my dad?" Ryden took a cigarette and lit it. The man took a sip and let out smoke billowing from his mouth.

"You don't deserve to be called human. How can you kill so many people and still be able to speak calmly? Fucking Psychopath!"

"Wouldn't you enjoy your money alone? Remember, all these treasures are mine. You're the one I saved from death. Why are you acting as if you're the owner?" Ryden ended his call unilaterally. Then he continued typing something on his phone. For a moment he stopped and seemed to think. He smiled then continued typing while chuckling.
