Events that are too sudden like this should be suspected. It could be a trap in a trap. But, it could also be because Sarenos knew that there was Luca following him behind.

Laura herself didn't really know how much magic power Sarenos had. So, the possibility of Sarenos knowing of his existence that had been disguised with magic was still there.

After a few steps, there came the cry of Sarenos.

“GYAAAAAAAAKH!”

Laura closed her ears tightly. The cry sounded so screeching ears, especially because the screaming came from the Siren nation that is famous for its voice.

“Buset daaah..” grumbled Laura while following the source of the voice she believed was not far from where she was standing at the moment.

In the neglected beach house, there are several rooms separated by wooden dividers and doors. Laura approached one of the open rooms. He was sure it was the source of his voice.

“Graaah! How could they just disappear?” Sarenos jerking.

“You. How can you fall asleep and not realize the departure of those children?”

Instead of being answered, Joanne instead said, “Why are you interfering again?”

Laura thought for a moment to digest Joanne's question. He's just guessing, but it looks like Joanne suspects that she's meddling in Wendy's case.

“Technically, I haven't interfered, anyway.” he replied.

“Before?” Joanne frowned.

“Seriously, I've just observed a doank! No follow-up!”

Joanne clucked, “Ck!”

“Emang why the hell, I can not follow? If you are going to die again, my free will has done good.”.

Joanne's eyes were round in disbelief. This girl before him really sounded stupid to him. He didn't even know what danger was coming after him.
