The journey leading Ayra was filled with silence. Whether reluctant or awkward to open the topic of chat first, they are busy with their respective thoughts.
After almost getting to Ayra's apartment, she asks Bram to pull over.
Bram is confused, but still complies.
The car stopped under a shady tree located on the side of the road. Ayra glanced at Bram at a glance, then turned her gaze out the window.
"Bang, I'm sorry, there's no intention to hurt your brother. I left Abang for a very good reason" Ayra said with regret, staring at Bram's face
Bram responded to Ayra's words only in silence.
"Bang, please listen to my explanation, if you really hate me then this is the last time I try to see you." Ayra clasped Bram's hand, hoping Bram would listen.
Bram pulled his hand slowly.
"The reason you were then was only one, Ra. Career!
Why is it that when things have changed you just want to explain everything?
This is how you play with my heart!? It's so funny, Ra! And just so you know, you made it!"
Bram said slowly, but with great emphasis.
Ayra looked at the netra Bram fixedly, until the gazes of the two of them met. Ayra could see the disappointment in Bram's eyes, and that's why.
There is a longing to look into those eyes, eyes that used to be almost every day to look at him with love, eyes that used to adore him every day.
Ayra did not accept with all the accusations leveled at her, she did not want this misunderstanding to continue.
"Abang is too busy with speculation. So, never want to know the truth."
Ayra turned her face away, staring out the window to hide the droplets of tears that had flowed down her face.
Bram silent.
Then he turned to Ayra, there was a sense of pity when he saw those tears.
"Well, five minutes to explain." Bram replied spontaneously.
"Ten minutes Bang, I beg you."
" Would five minutes make our story go differently?" Bram replied with a mocking smile.
" But at least you know the truth, bang. I beg you."
Ayra replied softly as she twisted her fingers and lowered her head.
"All right, ten minutes from now." Bram said while looking at the watch in his hand.
"At that time I didn't know what to do, my father tried to get in trouble, my mother left us with her boyfriend. The offer to become a model with a pretty fantastic pay is the only reliable solution at that time. Not not thinking about my feelings, it's just that if I don't take that chance then our lives will fall apart" Ayra took a slow breath, then continued.
"Moon-months I've been torturing myself by missing you, Bang. It's not that I don't want to call you, it's just that I'm afraid my defense is faltering. I don't want to go back to Indonesia without being able to get my dad's company back on its feet." Ayra looked at Bram.
"Want to ask for help Brother but I'm embarrassed, anyways what your mother said if nothing has been troublesome. And what you should know is that right now my feelings are still the same as they were a few years ago. I didn't expect to start everything from scratch but at least you can forgive me." Ayra smiled as she picked up the bag that was on the dashboard of the car. Preparing to get out, but suddenly Bram pulls his hand. Ayra turned her head while raising her eyebrows, as a question mark 'what is it?'
"Please don't ever show up in front of me again, because my life is different from what it used to be. There is a heart I must take care of. I'm married, Ayra"
"Married?" Ask Ayra.
A surprised expression looked clear from his face.
'Why didn't Bram's mom say anything about this?' His inner.
"Yes." Yeah." Bram replied while showing the wedding ring on his finger. A bitter smile adorned his face.
Ayra looked at Bram while crying. The quiet atmosphere, added to Ayra's sadness.
"Before I leave, may I hug Brother just this once for the last time? So that I can awaken my heart that your warm embrace is no longer mine."
Bram pulls Ayra into his arms, channeling all the longing he's been trying to ignore.
Ayra cried so much in Bram's arms, she spilled all her burdens. Her tears broke without her being able to hold.
Suddenly a shadow of Rea appeared in Bram's mind, he withdrew.
'This feeling is wrong' he thought.
Bram saying goodbye, staying here will only add to the wound in his heart.
***
It's getting late at 22:30 now.
Rea was still unable to close her eyes, until then the sound of the door opening.
My husband is home, she thought.
Rea chose to pretend to sleep, rather than having to strafe Bram with various questions raging in his mind.
There was a gurgling of water from the bathroom, then Bram came out with a change of clothes.
Before long, Bram's sturdy hands hugged his body from behind. Smacked his head deep and said "Sorry."
The warm clap of Bram has always been able to calm his soul.
No need to wait too long, there has been a regular sigh that hit the neck of the ladder. Her husband is asleep.
Just now he wanted to close his eyes, suddenly he heard the HP shakes from above the nightstand next to the bed. Rea was wondering who sent the message of the nights like this.
There are several notifications on the top screen of her husband's HP, one of which is an anonymous message that has just been sent.
'Bang, thank you for everything. I'm happy to have been loved so much.'
Degs..
Rea's heart raced very fast, her hands trembling still by holding her husband's HP.
Could it be that Bram had betrayed her?
Hasn't Bram loved her all this time?
Questions popped up in Rea's mind.
He put Bram's HP back, trying to strengthen his heart over what he had seen.
He threw it on the floor, he buried his head in the hands that hugged his knees.
His shoulders shook, signaling his cries growing more and more bitter.
Chests up and down. She pulled her hair firmly, channeling all her pain.
Could her husband have betrayed her? Ask in the heart.
Ah, speculating on his own only made him even more chaotic.
Rea stood up, lying down facing her husband. Seeing that face was fixed, the face that always set him.
He hoped that when tomorrow came, everything would be fine. And the Bram he knew wasn't the Bram he now doubted his love for.
