Chapter 7 - The Blind Man

It's been a few days since that happened. Kath searches the woods to find the wily witch. "Left or right, huh?" Kath asked who had forgotten the path she took yesterday.

Initially, Kath wants to invite Liora to find the witch. Only, Liora was in the human world. He was getting a task that he could not delay. So Kath decided to find the witch herself.

"It's the third time I've been through this old tree." Upset Kath and kicked the tree

"It looks like I'm lost again, I'd better rest here." Kath said to himself, resigned.

Kath sat with an old tree and fell asleep, exhausted. He had been in the forest for a few days, he did not know the way back or the way to the witch's house all he could do was keep walking.

Suddenly I heard a very loud cry. Making Kath who was asleep was awakened by the sound of crying and made Kath goosebumps instantly. He remembered about the crying cave Liora told him about.

"No, there's no way I'm afraid of this cry. I am the strongest woman yet no one can defeat me." Kath said to convince herself.

The sound of crying grew louder and the wind blew strongly. Kath felt the cold of the night and the loud noise. Suddenly someone touched Kath's shoulder, which made Kath surprised and immediately changed the color of her eyes to orange and red. And prepare to attack.

"Calm down" said the man with eyes covered in a white cloth.

"How can I calm down when the sound of crying gets louder." Kath asked for protection from the man.

"I'll protect you, come with me." He said and clasped Kath's hand.

Kath followed the man with his eyes covered in white cloth, "How can you know in front of you it's a tree with eyes closed?" Kath asked confused.

"I have a very keen sense of taste and sense of hearing." He said, who continued to walk until he arrived near a very heavy waterfall.

"Until now, if you were here, you wouldn't have heard the sound of crying because of this very rushing waterfall." He said and sat down with a tree.

"How did you know I was there?" Ask Kath curious.

"I told you I have a very keen sense of taste." The man answered with a white cloth in his eyes

"And why did you close your eyes with a white cloth?" Kath asked, touching the cloth that covered the man's eyes.

"I'm blind." He opened the white cloth that covered his eyes and saw his white eyeballs.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to." Kath apologized.

"It's okay, I was born blind. I don't know how this world is shaped. I also don't know how my face looks" said the man who returned to wear a white cloth to cover his eyes.

"Your face is very smooth, your nose is pointed, your lips are reddish and your eyeballs are white. You're a handsome man." It was Kath who described the man in front of her.

"Know me Kath and you?" Kath introduced himself.

"My name is Dexter Adalvino Cielo, your name is very unique once only one word." Ask Dexter.

"I don't know my name. My mom and dad died when I was 5 years old. So for 20 thousand years I've always been lonely. No one wants to accept me because I'm a mix of werewolves and Vampires. I know once you hear I'm a mix of these two, you're gonna leave me." Kath's story is moving.

"Leaving you? I don't really care about your race." Dexter made Kath smile.

"Seriously?" Kath asked in disbelief. This was the first time for him to hear that anyone did not care about his race.

"Yes" answered. Just one word but it makes Kath very happy.

"I've been used to it since I was a kid, but if you're my wife then I'll take this white cloth off." Goda Dexter's.

"Wife?" Kath said nervously, only this time he heard the word.

"I'm just kidding" Dexter said with a smile.

"B-Handling?"

'Think once I throw it.' Inner Kath was upset but could only resign.

They talk about many things and are accompanied by the sound of a very swift waterfall. Kath starts to get sleepy and drops her head swiftly Dexter catches Kath's head and places it on his shoulder. Dexter holds Kath so he can sleep comfortably.

"It seems I've found it." Dexter said in a very soft voice while smiling and rubbing Kath's head

The sun began to rise from the east, the sign of the morning. The swift sound of water and the breeze made Kath sleep very soundly.But because the sunlight made Kath open her eyes, she was surprised to see he was hugging Dexter tightly.

"M-sorry" said Kath who is still in the subconscious.

"Are you awake?" Dexter asked, Kath let go of his hand and nodded her head.

"You look so tired, you sleep so well." Dexter

"I'm so tired, I haven't slept in days. Because I seem lost. If you want to laugh, just laugh. I get lost a lot." Say Kath with resignation.

"I can tolerate it." Dexter said, Kath just nodded her head.

A green snake slithered towards Kath, Kath who saw it swiftly stood up and tried to protect Dexter.

"Dexter, there's a snake. Relax I'll protect you." Said Kath in front of Dexter to take care of Dexter. Dexter just smiled.

Actually Kath was afraid of snakes, it was just impossible for the blind man beside her to be able to face the snake in front of her at this time.

Kath took the wooden branch beside her to drive away the snake. He was not unwilling to use his strength, but he was afraid of being exposed to the snake.

"Hush..Hushh. Go you evil serpent." Dump Kath while steering the wood.

The green snake kept staring at Kath and pulled out its canine teeth preparing to bite Kath. Dexter who felt the air gripping with swift Dexter hugged Kath and turned his body.

Dexter was bitten by a snake. Quickly, Dexter grabbed the snake that was biting him and threw it away.

"How's this? What am I supposed to do? Kath said in a panic. Kath swiftly removed the poison from Dexter's body which was exposed to snake venom.

"It looks like this tree green snake, which is famous for its deadly venom." Said Dexter weakly with his pale face.

"N-no, I'll figure out a way to save you." Said Kath who kept trying to get the poison out.

"I don't think I'm strong anymore." Dexter and unconscious.

"NOKKKKK" cried Kath.
