Chapter 40 High Fever

Without any fatigue, Rain continued to look after her son. He repeatedly changed the Alka compress. He had given her a heat-lowering drug. However, instead of going down, Alka's body temperature gets higher, when the effects of the drug are gone.

"Rain, where are you taking Alka?" tanya Summer who saw Rain carrying Alka out of the room with the tote bag she was carrying in her hand.

The nurse immediately took a cage and helped Rain who was holding Alka out of the car. After making sure his son was asleep in the cage, the man immediately parked his car. While Summer directly followed where the nurse was taking Alka.

"Sir, please wait outside! We'll take action on your son first" the nurse said before she closed the door to the IGD room.

Summer just kept looking towards the door of the IGD room. His heart was really anxious and agitated. He was afraid of something unwanted happening to Alka. Eventually Rain came to him.

"Summer sit! We better pray for Alka's healing" Rain said, drawing Summer to a waiting chair.

"Rain, has the admisnistration been taken care of?" tanya Summer glanced at Rain who was now sitting beside her.

"Already! Summer, did Alka have a fever from last night?" asked Rain by looking towards Summer.

"No, last night he was still fine. It's just, she kept whining for me to cancel my wedding. He was angry when I couldn't agree to his wishes. Am I being too selfish to ignore her feelings?" summer said with her head down.

"Don't blame yourself! It's not just you who's guilty of Alka. But I was also very guilty of him. Because of our selfishness, our child is the victim. Hopefully, Alka will recover quickly and be able to accept Billy as a father."

The doctor who was confused by the question, immediately raised both hands, so Summer paused her intention when she asked again.

"Quiet, Mom, Ma! Your son has already received his treatment from us. His body temperature was still forty-two degrees. But we've given him a drug to lower his body temperature through infusion. Hopefully, the medicine will react quickly. We also took a blood sample to check in the lab. Soon it will be moved to the treatment room" explained the doctor at length.

"Okay, Doc Thank you! Can we see it?" summer asked with her worried face. How not to worry. The body temperature of Alka is very high.

"Please, Ma'am. Then excuse me!" tell that doctor.

Rain and Summer immediately entered the IGD room. It was Alka who was still sleeping with the infusion attached to the little boy's hand. Summer immediately grabbed the hand and kissed it.

"I'm sorry, Mother! Alka quickly healed yes, Mother dear same Alka."

"I'm sorry, Dad, too. Papa is late to read the message you sent. Had Papa read it in time, it might have been ...." Rain did not continue his words. He just gently stroked his son's hair.
