Meaning: If a husband takes his wife to his bed (to be listened to) then the wife does not fulfill his invitation, then the wife does not meet his invitation, then the husband sleeps in a state of anger against his wife then the angel cursed the wife until dawn” (HR Al-Bukhari no 3237 and Muslim no 1436)

“With that hadith, it can be concluded that, rejecting the husband's invitation to

having sex is a big sin Dev,”ucap Elyavira.

إِذَا بَاتَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ، هَاجِرَةً فِرَاشَ زَوْجِهَا، لَعَنَتْهَا الْمَلَائِكَةُ حَتَّى تُصْبِحَ

“If a woman sleeps leaving her husband's bed (i.e., does not accompany her husband) then the angel accuses her until the morning.” (HR Muslim 1436)

In another story ⁇ ⁇ ⁇ “angel cursed her until she returned (to her husband).”

There are a few things to note with regard to this hadith :

First: The purpose of this hadith is that the woman is cursed if she refuses without udzur syari, not merely refusing to be directly cursed by the angels. Among the udzur syari :

“But her period is not udzur to serve the husband from the other side, because the husband has the right to enjoy his wife's body on the other side.”

“Women are in a very cramped or stressed condition where she cannot serve her husband at all in such conditions. Which this could have given him harm if forced to have sex.”

“Then if the husband refuses?” ask Devano.

“Then the Husband will disobey God, can not be denied, during this time our society, especially women are often pitched in the proposition that says that the Wife will be cursed by an angel if it rejects the husband's invitation. Meaning: And they (women) have the right to be balanced with their obligations in a proper manner. But husbands have an advantage over them. Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise."

(QS. Al-Baqarah 2: Verse 228)

A woman has rights (to which her husband must fulfill according to the measure of eligibility), just as she also has obligations (to which she must fulfill for her husband)

Even Prophet Muhammad himself will also rebuke his friends who ignore the right of wife to earn an inner living.

"BISMILAHAHAHMANIRAHIM, NAWAITUL GHUSLA LIRAF’IL HADATSIL ABKARI MINAL JINABATI FARDLO LILLAHI TA’ALA."
