Yuna commented on the thin smile of seeing the interesting scenery presented right in front of her. It was unexpected that it would be this easy to get rid of Arumi and secure her own position. There Arumi was humiliated, dragged, and thrown out of the house.
"Please let me go. Let me hug my son just once!" yelled Arumi once more.
No one heard or defended him. Everything was there as if it were closing its eyes and ears. Yuna is satisfied. Because the biggest stumbling block in his life has been eliminated.
"Yuna, why does Aika keep crying?" The question distracted Yuna. He glanced at the mother-in-law who was walking towards him.
"I don't know, Mom. Perhaps he was surprised to hear the woman's cry" he replied, cradling. The more she tried to calm down, the more shrill Aika's cry became.
"Oh my God, my granddaughter could be sick if she kept crying like this. Do something to calm her down, Yuna." Riana's mother looked very worried.
"Yes, Mom. I've been trying to calm her down since, but Aika just kept crying."
Yuna doesn't know what else to do. Calming Aika who was fussy was impossible for her to do. From the very beginning of his arrival, the little baby had been hostile towards him. It was as if Yuna was carrying a frightening negative aura.
"I'll try to give him some milk first."
Just as Yuna was about to head to the room to find a nanny, Rafli was already present among them.
"Give Aika to me."
If normally Aika would calm down after being carried by her daddy, then this time was different. Rafli's efforts to calm the tiny baby were futile. Even Aika refused to drink milk and continued to cry. As if he wanted to show objection to the harsh treatment his mommy got.
Seeing her son having trouble calming Aika down, Riana's mother approached. He rubbed Rafli's shoulder slowly.
"Rafli, I think Aika misses her mommy. Shouldn't you let Arumi see Aika for a minute?" said the mother. He lowered his voice as he glanced at Yuna to make sure her daughter-in-law did not hear.
"No, Mom! I don't want my son to be touched by that woman" Rafli refused.
A pair of rafli eyes closed with a long breath. "Are you trying to defend Arumi?"
"It's not. I know that Arumi's actions are wrong because she has deceived all of us. But, as long as I've known him for a year, I don't think he's that bad."
"The name of the bad guy can pretend to be good, ma'am. The devil can be disguised as an angel. So, don't give him a crack to get into this house again!"
The middle-aged woman was silent for a moment. Since Arumi entered the Alvaro family house as Yuna, Riana's mother was quite close to her and often spent time together. As a mother, she understood that Rafli was devastated by Arumi's actions.
"Well, if you think that's best for you and Aika."
Eventually, Rafli chooses to take her to the nursery. There he sat half-lying on the sofa and laid Aika on his chest.
"Hey, Honey. Are you mad that daddy's already driving mommy away?"
Rafli took a deep breath. It was not easy for him to accept the bitter fact that he had been cheated by Arumi for a year. Drawn into the vortex of sin the relationship is not legal, until it presents Aika among them.
"I'm sorry Daddy, son. Daddy didn't want it to end this way either."
He held Aika in his chest, rubbing her back gently. It is undeniable by Rafli that the love for Arumi is still intact and does not diminish in the slightest. Even though the hatred in his heart felt deep-rooted.
The presence of Yuna who is a legitimate wife and has a perfect resemblance to Arumi is completely meaningless to Rafli. Everything feels so different and different.
"From now on we will both learn to live without it. She's not a good mommy for you. Because he's been cheating on us all this time."
Suddenly the pair of brown eyes were filled with clear crystals. Along with Aika's cry that slowly subsided.
