Dara gasped in shock because the sound of the door slam was so loud, there was a sense of the nelangsa that slipped in her heart. This was the first time the Hero had behaved coldly with a sharp tongue towards him.
Almira's sudden departure as well as their current status had changed, made his relationship with Wira like being blocked by a high wall. The hero who was always warm, loving and joking laughter to justify it is no longer there.
Dara stared at the screen of her cellphone which showed a photo of herself with Almira in a pose to embrace each other laughing cheerfully. His fingers rubbed the screen of the phone, a sense of longing immediately burst forth along with tears that spread.
"Sir, I miss, hyx," he sighed crazily with trembling lips.
Dara stared at her phone curled up on the sofa with her knees bent as if hugging herself, accompanied by a heart-wrenching sobbing that filled the entire room. His memories go back to the past, the first time he met Almira.
The flashback
That day at the orphanage, some children will be selected and prepared for the arrival of foster parents who want to adopt. Little Dara, who was only seven years old at the time, also wanted to be elected, stood up straight and smiled as sweetly as possible when the caretakers entered the hall where the foster children were ordered to gather.
Only ten children will be selected, and there are already nine people who have passed the selection, which on average is a child whose body height contains and looks healthy. Now it's Dara's turn to be told to go forward to be sure to enter the criteria or not. Her face was beautiful although less managed, but her body was thin and her hair was long unruly, until finally the caretaker decided Dara did not pass the selection.
Little Dara sighed with her lips cut down, then stepped back into her room with her face bowed lethargic as her hopes for adoption had to be dashed again.
*****
In the afternoon when the prospective foster parents came to the orphanage, the little girl sneaked out of her room to the room where she received guests at the orphanage. Dara peeked out of the window without making a sound, she was envious, seeing that some of her friends would have a new family out there.
Then the turn of Arif Almira's father who is welcome to choose, because the departure of his mother, the only daughter of his puppet is often moody, because, and because of the request of Almira also who wants to have a sister finally Arif came to the orphanage to adopt one of the children there so that Almira is not lonely anymore.
Almira also came there, and Arif asked Almira only to vote because it was his daughter's wish. As he made acquaintances one by one with the children in the room, suddenly his eyes caught the figure of the little girl peering behind the window more interesting, attention, it even seemed like the little girl had to tiptoe to be able to see what was happening inside the room.
Almira immediately walked out of the room towards where Dara was standing. The teenage girl was determined to align her height with Dara.
"Hi, I'm Almira, what's your name?" ask her with her beautiful smile.
"I'm Dara" he said. His eyes sparkled looking at the beautiful figure in front of him.
"Hello Dara, from now on, I am your brother, will you be my sister?"
"I want to. I want to," she said, nodding her head enthusiastically.
"So right now, call me Mira my little sister" Pinta Almira said.
"Well, Ms. Mira," he said excitedly.
"Smart kid." Almira rubbed Dara's head gently.
When no one else turned to her, Almira came to offer the warmth of a family, and from that moment on her veins, Almira was the fairy godmother of her rescue from the cold nights in the orphanage.
Flashback end
Dara finally fell asleep on the sofa after crying for so long, hoping that tomorrow the tears that spill are able to wash away all the stains of sadness and change with a more beautiful beam of hope.
