40 Days, One Love
From Heart to Heart

Today is a bright day. It is suitable for gardening and drying cloth. Even though it's Saturday, Joe doesn't want to laze around. He invited Yucil to clean the house, dry the cloth and pull the grass.

Yua exited the room and headed towards the back porch. He wants to enjoy the sunshine and the morning breeze. Seeing Joe and Yucil at work makes Yua want to help.

"I help ya, I'm fine" pinta Yua while showing her arm muscles.

"Related?" joe asked if Yua was okay and could do the activity today.

Through the solemnity of Yua, Joe then allowed him only to dry the cloth and the business of plucking the grass let Joe and Yucil who do it.

One by one Yua dried the cloth on the clothesline that still use some rope and tongs so that the clothes do not fly directly under the hot sun. In the future, he usually washes his clothes using a washing machine that can dry clothes at once, even though at the ends he drove him to the laundry place.

It turns out that seeing the sunken fabrics brings its own satisfaction to Yua. The perfect combination between the blazing sun, neatly sunk fabric, and the soft morning breeze. Not to miss the smell of weeds that have just been removed.

"Hmmmm" breath Yua enjoyed the scent this morning.

Yua then realized that Yucil did not stop looking at her from now on, even though he was himself pulling the grass. Perhaps seeing Yua who did not wake up for three days made Yucil afraid of losing her mother figure again.

Yucil continued to look at Yua nonstop. Not only looking at him, he also accompanied Yua wherever Yua went both to the living room, kitchen, and even the bathroom.

"Why do you keep going?" ask Yua annoyed. Yucil hugged Yua's walking leg.

"Mama's wanker goes againyy" replied Yucil.

True to Yua's guess, Yucil was afraid of losing himself. Yua suddenly fell silent. How could he be here forever. In fact in 26 days time, he must return to 2021.

Seeing himself, Yua lowered her head and sat down to reassure Yucil that she was going nowhere. Yua also gently stroked the head of her little self.

"You better rest!" joe who still grabs the grass.

"I'm better, no need to worry! I only woke up after three days of sleep when I wanted to rest again. I'm Bored!!" reply Yua while distracting Yucil.

Joe laughed when he heard Yua say he was tired of sleeping when sleeping was his hobby.

"Wouldn't sleep be your hobby, you might get bored" Joe said.

Although he was silent for a while after mocking Yua, Joe then continued his words, saying,

"But thank God you seem to be fine" Joe said.

The back yard of the house looked sparkling, no more weeds. The plan there will be made a swing for Yucil. Joe also wants to give a gift in the form of a rabbit cage and its residents to Yucil as an apology for ever slamming a chair in front of him.

Today ended sooner than usual.

Tonight Yua wants to tell Joe about his fate. But before that Yua will accompany Yucil until he really sleeps. In order to keep their conversation from crisp, Yua brought some snacks and drinks so that there was a diversion of the topic if needed.

Joe was waiting for Yua on the back porch.

Joe realized and asked him to sit down. "What do you want to say?" ask Joe.

"Yes patiently dongg. drink the cake first" chirped Yua who is still preparing his heart.

Joe doesn't like snacks, so he only drinks soda. Yua then told her everything she knew about her fate.

"I turned out to be a time jumper, and my time here was only 40 days, if more than that I would be a time prisoner" Yua explained very quickly.

Joe is still confused by the term called Yua so he does not understand what the meaning of Yua's words is. Yua slowly explained them one by one the terms he mentioned earlier.

A time jumper is a person who accidentally time-travels and can only happen once. They have a maximum of 40 days to return to their time. If not, then they cannot penetrate space and time and they are called time prisoners.

"The first time I saw you I realized you looked like my son. A father cannot know his own son. You said you were coming from 2021. I don't know why I immediately believe" Joe said.

"I once thought, how can someone from the future arrive in the past? and when you say your time was only 40 days ago what happened to you in the future?" ask Joe at length.

For ordinary people it is impossible for someone to travel through time. Time travel is just a fictional concept of people who do not accept destiny and fantasize about being able to improve things in the past. Time cannot turn to the past either.

However, some people believe that time travel is very possible. Many of the inventions of the human past are not even acceptable to the modern world because technology did not exist at that time and may only exist in the future.

After explaining the concept of time travel, Yua then explained the concept of the time of 40 days.

Forty days was the maximum time he was in the past. If he does not make it back to his time then slowly his organs will stop functioning. Even the time jumpers have begun to show symptoms of organ damage during that 40-day period.

Suddenly, Yua thought of a possibility that could happen to her in the future if she did not return in 40 days.

"When I become a prisoner of time, my existence will probably be considered lost and people's memories of me will also disappear in the future or the past" Yua said while shedding tears.

It was lucky that it was already night, so the tears became invisible. Yua also did not want Joe to see her constantly crying and looking weak, as much as possible he quickly wiped the tears in her eye sack.

"Are you asleep for three days that's one sign of organ damage?" ask Joe.

Yua didn't know if it was also a sign of organ damage or not. But maybe that's the sign. Yua nodded her head in response to Joe's question.

"I hope you can return to the future as soon as possible" Joe said.

Yua who was looking at the sky looked back at Joe sadly.

"But you're not there. I'll just be a kara there" Yua replied in a trembling voice.

Joe looked at his daughter's eyes that were getting reddened and teary. Joe knew it looked like Yua was going to cry but Yua always held her back. Joe hugged Yua. She wanted her daughter to let go of her tears and she promised not to see her cry.

"You are not alone, in the future there will be many people waiting for you. You just need to change and open up to the people around you. Do not always judge people from the outside, because a person's face does not reflect his heart" Joe's message to Yua.

Yua then took off Joe's embrace.

"I've always thought that the future Father thinks of me as a lousy child and has no future. After seeing me now, do you regret having a daughter like me?" ask Yua.

Joe then clinched Yua's forehead. He did not expect Yua would think that way to himself or any other parent.

"There are parents who think their children suck and have no future. Every parent will think his child is the best even if others consider him a failure" Joe replied with annoyance.

Joe asks Yua to think maturely and throw away her negative thoughts. Joe then tells Yua one important thing.

"If I end up dead, I will live in your heart. If you get lost I'll always be by your side, looking after you forever" Joe explained.

Yua finally heard the words she always wanted to hear from her father in the future but it was her father when she was young who said them. For Yua, Joe's words were a cure for his wounded heart all along.

"I Promise never to cry again, I'll go back to the future and make you proud" Yua promised.

"Then how do you get back to the future?" ask Joe.

"I still don't know but I'm going to find the taunya, until then let me stay here" pinta Yua. Joe just smiled and nodded his head.

The night is getting late. There is still a lot to do tomorrow. They then went back to their rooms. Joe also asks Yua to enter first.

Yua then walked leaving Joe on the porch alone. Slowly their distance got further away, even though it was still under the same roof.

"Joooeee" Yua shouted from 5 meters away. "Thank youhhh" he continued.

Yua immediately turned her back and ran her camp with a happy heart.
