A week had passed since Itachi arrived at the New Moon Profound Palace. Within this week he had been wandering the New Moon Profound Palace and with Cang Yue/Lan Xueruo. What he did not expect was not to see Yun Che see how in the original story he was given a ticket by his grandfather to enter the New Moon Profound Palace because his grandfather had saved the life of Great Elder's son Sikong Han. During his stay at the New Moon Profound Palace, he had not met or seen her even once.
Walking around the forest behind the New Moon Profound Palace Itachi had just enjoyed a pleasant and stress-free night when he saw Yun Che cultivating under a tree with Xia Yuanba next to him. Looking at them well, he saw that Yun Che had become stronger. He was now at the level 8 Elementary Profound Realm. Considering the fact that he had just started cultivating 5 months ago, it was an achievement that he managed to become this strong in such a short period of time. Looking at Xia Yuanba next to him Itachi could see that he was at the level 6 Elementary Profound Realm. Seeing the two sitting together cultivating, it was clear why he had not seen Yun Che all week. He was most likely cultivating in solitude together with Xia Yuanba and might have just come out.
After walking around the forest for a few more hours Itachi returned to his room. After closing the door Jasmine immediately walked out.
"So that banquet tomorrow. What's your plan? Because looking at the power level of this city, you are one of the strongest and you can dominate them with your overwhelming strength." Jasmine asked curiously
"The plan for tomorrow is to keep my strength level in order for them to think I'm weak. Once I defeat all the disciples, we'll leave. I did this as a favor for elder Sikong Han. He was a really good man and I couldn't bear to see him bow his head in shame while the other sects were underestimating him and the New Moon Profound Palace." Itachi.
"good. I'm looking forward to seeing their faces once those disciples come face to face with you and you beat them easily." Jasmine said with a smile as she ate the candy from the paper bag.
Seeing Jasmine eating her sweets while at the same time expressing her excitement upon seeing Itachi defeat his students tomorrow during the banquet made a smile on his face.
"It looks like you're really addicted to the candy I made. But you better save it for tomorrow's show. We don't want you to run out of candy to eat during tomorrow's fight, do we." Itachi said with a teasing smile that made Jasmine react with a blush and turned her face away in embarrassment.
"Hmmph..... This princess is not addicted to your candy. This princess will eat whatever she wants whenever she wants. And don't forget it." Jasmine said arrogantly/embarrassedly.
"of course. How could I forget that. As a princess, you can eat whatever you want whenever you want. So then..... Do you want me to make you some more candy?" Itachi said with a more seductive smile.
Hearing Itachi's offer, Jasmine couldn't help but want more candy. Turning his head and looking at the ground with a reddened face, he returned the candy bag to Itachi while muttering "Yes, please" with an almost inaudible volume.
Next night.
In the heart of the New Moon Profound Palace was a vast area of a sparse emerald green bamboo forest, and within it, stood a huge palace that exuded a dignified atmosphere. This was the largest and most luxurious building in the entire New Moon Profound Palace; it was known as the "Main Palace". All the important affairs within the Palace were carried out in the Main Palace; and a banquet for the appointment of the new Head of the Palace, would also be held here.
Walking into the main palace and looking around Itachi could only see the other sects still not arriving. In order to show their status and as a form of contempt towards the New Moon Profound Palace, these sects had deliberately come later than planned. Sitting in front next to Cang Yue Itachi sat down and waited for the sect to come and the fight began.
As soon as the banquet starts. The great sect had entered the main palace and the small sect paid homage to the new palace chief Qin Wuyou. The major sects with the exception of the Iron Spear Clan showed the New Moon Profound Palace the minimum courtesy expected of them. Afterwards Qin Wuyou gave a speech to commemorate his new appointment as the head of the palace. Immediately the Sect Head of Profound Heart Elder Xuan Duanao stood up and 'suggested' that the younger disciples 'exchange clues', the real ones were the big sects who showed off their disciples strength to the New Moon Profound Palace and humiliated them in the process. Xuan Ao advised one of his own sect disciples Xuan Yu to start first. Elder Sikong Han had told Li Hao to go up first. After a fairly unfair match against Xuan Yu Li Hao was beaten easily and left in a severely injured state. Li Hao was brought back to be cared for and the New Moon disciples looked at him with anger in their eyes, but they were powerless to do anything.
The proud Xuan Yu with his rather easy victory arrogantly watched over the New Moon disciples and called out to anyone to come against him. Looking at the crowd, his eyes immediately fell on Xia Yuanba who was trying not to look him in the eye. Calling for Xia Yuanba to come and fight him, he heard someone else issue a challenge.
"I want to come and fight."
Xuan Yu looked at the source of the voice seeing a man standing wearing a huge black coat with red clouds on it. Looking at his strange clothes, Xuan Yu inwardly laughed at him but remained calm outside.
"Sure you can come. That means I have another chance to exchange pointers with New Moon disciples." Xuan Yu said with a high tone of sarcasm and arrogance.
Hearing Xuan Yu accept his challenge Itachi took his Akatsuki coat to reveal the Anbu uniform he was wearing underneath. Everyone from the seven sects where looking at him mockingly and just waiting for the other New Moon disciples to be violently beaten and watched the New Moon disciples and elders get angry but remain helpless. Placing his coat on his chair Itachi walked to the center of the hall while people from the seven sects looked at him and mocked him. Coming to the middle of the main palace hall Itachi took his position opposite Xuan Yu and gave him a salute as he said.
"Itachi Uchiha, disciple of the New Moon Profound Palace, 17 years old, please let me know!"
"Hehe, needless to say, I'll give you some advice." Xuan Yu replied with clear sarcasm.
After saying that Xuan Yu stuck out his palm at Itachi and his hand shone with a purple light and immediately came to Itachi to hit him in the chest Using Observation Haki and Sharingan Itachi just twisted his body to the right and easily dodged Xuan Yu's attack. Seeing his attack dodged Xuan Yu turned around and tried again only for Itachi to dodge it again easily. Clenching his hands Xuan Yu continued to punch out blows one after another to hit Itachi but each time Itachi would dodge his punch with minimal movement making Xuan Yu look like a child going berserk. Seeing all of his attacks being avoided by Itachi who did not even try hard made Xuan Yu angry to no end.
"YOU'RE A FUCKING COWARD!! IT IS THE ONLY WAY OF YOUR KINDNESS!! HOW DID YOU FIGHT ME BACK ONCE!!"
Seeing Xuan Yu lose his composure and act like an angry little boy, Itachi decided to comfort him.
"All right then. I will not avoid your next move. But you better count it." Itachi said with a calm and composed face.
"How dare you underestimate me!! Alright, but don't blame me for suffering from your arrogance!!" yelled Xuan Yu at Itachi.
Setting up his fist Xuan Yu put all of his Profound Energy into it and rushed at Itachi ready to attack him with all his might. As he reached in front of Itachi Xuan Yu attacked him with both of his fists. Itachi only caught them with both hands. Seeing his strongest attack being captured without any effort, Xuan Yu was stunned just because he felt an unimaginable pain through his hand as Itachi crushed it.
"AHHHHHHHH!!!....HAAAGH" Xuan Yu shouted in pain before his stomach was kicked by Itachi and thrown into the air. Back down, he grumbled in pain while holding his stomach with his broken hand.
Seeing their fellow disciples being severely beaten, the disciples of the Profound Heart Sect were shocked by this sudden loss. Running into Xuan Yu were the two people who hurriedly threw the medicinal pellets into his mouth. Staring at Itachi who was just calmly standing there and seeing them one of them spoke: "How could you act this cruel towards Xuan Yu. If anything happens to him, my Profound Heart Sect will not let you off easily."
Itachi stared at him for a few seconds and instead of reacting to him, he simply looked towards the crowd and shouted: "NEXT IT!!"
Seeing Itachi ignoring them completely, those profound Heart Sect practitioners became even more furious and yelled at him again: "Don't you dare ignore us!! I will not allow such disrespectful behavior from a junior!!"
Itachi looked at him again and spoke: "You lost, so sit down and shut up. Losers have no right to speak. Unless you want to keep embarrassing yourself in front of everyone here."
Hearing Itachi tell them to sit down, he, the two Profound Heart Sect practitioners were just about to approach him and fight him until they said that their sect elder signaled them to bring Xuan Yu back and sit down. Realizing that they were humiliating themselves, they reluctantly followed his orders and sat down but not before glaring at Itachi as they walked away while carrying Xuan Yu.
Waiting for someone else to come up against him Itachi just stood in the middle of the Main Palace. Shortly after, a new challenger appeared.
"Yan Ming, Cloudy Sun Sect, sixteen years and seven months. Remember my name because I'll teach you to show your boss the respect a junior like you should give." Yan Ming said with great arrogance in his voice.
