Chapter 4. Mother's Travel

"Quick release! Lilys!"

The sound of screaming was heard making Lilis who was still asleep on her bed suddenly rise from the bed after hearing the sound of screaming that had disturbed her deep sleep.

"Quick release!"

The sound of screaming again made Lilis quickly get up and then run towards uncle Somar.

"What's Uncle?"

"Your mother!"

"Mom why, Uncle?"

"Your mother died" she said with a panicked face.

Hearing that made Lilis so very surprised. It felt like Lilis heart stopped beating after hearing what Uncle Somar had said.

"Died? No way," he argued.

Lilis quickly sat down next to her mother and looked at her mother whose face had paled and her body had stiffened as well.

"Mom! Why, Mom?!!!"

"Yumuuu!!!" her screams tried to shake and wake Maria but the woman who had suffered a stroke for two years never answered.

"Mother!!! Mom, why?"

"Mom! Why did you die, uncle? Though last night I was fine," she said and cried as much as she could.

"Mother! Wake up, Mom! It's Lilis. You heard, didn't you hear Lilis?!!" she said as she stroked the cooling face of Maria.

"Mother!!!" he hugged Mary's body tightly.

His mother really died. Somehow even though his mother was fine. Last night he still had time to ask for a drink but why now his mother has died like this.

"What's Lilis?"

Questioning sounds made Uncle Somar and Lilis turn to look at the figure of Arul kang who stepped over.

"What's wrong?" tanyakanya.

"Sister Arul, tea mother died!" eve.

Hearing that made Kang Arul run over and accidentally hit the body of uncle Somar who stared dislike.

Lilis is silent now. He looked seriously at Arul kang who seemed to touch the wrist of Maria trying to find her pulse. He then placed his index finger under Mary's nose but never found the breath of the woman who had given birth to his friend.

Kang Arul was silent. He moved his head slowly towards the figure of Lilis who was still silent.

"Why? Why kang? I'm fine, right?" tanya then slowly Kang Arul shook his head to give an answer if his mother is not okay.

"Your mother has died" she said, making Lilis' cries explode.

"Cannot be. Mother-i-mom is unlikely to die. Mom, banguuuun!!!" his yell.

Under the shade of hot clouds and shady trees that grow in the cemetery as if accompanying the figure of Lilis who was still crying sobbing right next to the tomb of Mary who had just been buried.

His heart was so very sick after accepting the fact that his mother, the woman he had been caring for, had abandoned him.

"Why, Mom? Why did you leave Lilis here alone? It used to be that you left now Mother left again."

"Now who will accompany Lilis here, Mom? Lilis has no one else."

Uncle Somar smiled slightly, already his lips were raised. From here he could see the neighbors in the village looking at him as if they were all looking at him with suspicion.

When Uncle Somar returned their whispering gazes to each other, the villagers decided to walk away as if so afraid if they had to look at Uncle Somar.

Now the remaining burial places are Arul kang and also Lilis and uncle Somar who breathed a long breath. Slowly he stared dislikefully at the figure of Arul kang who was still loyal to be beside Lilis.

Uncle Somar decided to step up and sit down right next to Kang Arul who was still silent beside him.

"Everyone has left then why are you still here? I want you to get out of here!"

"But-"

"Go quickly! Act as if you are a neighbor, not a person seeking attention," the cut off off alludes to making Arul kang who seems so unhappy with the speech of uncle Somar decided to immediately get up and step away leaving the figure of Lilis with uncle Somar.

"Mother! why did you leave Lilis alone here, Mom?"

"Then who will accompany Lilis?"

"Don't talk like that!" reprimanded uncle Somar made Lilis turn her head.

"You talk as if you don't have any family anymore. There is an uncle here. You don't think of Uncle Somar as anyone else!"

"Somar's uncle is your own father. Moreover, your Father is a sibling with Uncle so indirectly Uncle is also your Father."

"So don't be sad! Uncle will stay with you here" he continued, smiling wickedly.
