ALDEBY
|23.| I Miss You

Arka is in serious mode to revise the thesis when someone suddenly walks into her ward.

"Ar, Ar, Ar. I have some important news!"

"Gue is busy. Males was horrified," Arka replied with a gaze that did not switch from her laptop screen.

'Stamp!'

"DAUGHTER!" snapped Arch. "Lo what the fuck, anyway?! I'm doing a thesis again!"

The princess shook her head strongly. The girl looked seriously at Arka. Both of Arka's eyebrows then linked in wonder, because the Princess rarely looked at him as seriously as that. "Gue guarantee you won't be comfortable if you listen to me now."

Arka breathed a heavy sigh. "What news?"

"By the way, where are you?" asked the Princess in a daze, looking for a middle-aged woman who had been accompanying Arka for a few days.

After the first chemotherapy that Arka did, the man decided to tell his mother. Of course the woman Arka called the mama was very shocked. Ibu Arka who originally served in Medan, directly to Jakarta that day.

"Work," answered Arka briefly. "So, what news do you bring? Watch out if it doesn't matter!"

Princess mangosteen. He again showed a serious look. "Gue see Beby in the ER."

The arcs that were originally sitting leaned back, now erect the body. An expression of annoyance due to the activity of revising the disturbed thesis immediately. Replaced with a curious face. "Who did you say that to?"

"Babys. Beby Amanda Skyla's. Lo's girlfriend!"

"Former," errat Arka.

"Yes, that's the point."

"Beby's sick what?

The princess put both shoulders. "Gue doesn't know either."

One question that came to Arka's mind: does this have anything to do with the depression that Beby was experiencing?

"Wooy!" Princess punches Arka's shoulder slowly. "It's dumb."

The sighing was once again heard from the Arka's respiratory tract. "Keep, what do you want me to do?"

The Arka's question made the Princess frown in wonder. "Kok, you're that, anyway? Do you want to nyamperin him? Explain everything to him. The reason why you asked to break up. It's clear that we have nothing to do."

"Make what?"

The princess twirled both lazy eyeballs. Really am. He was fed up with Arka constantly torturing himself. "Ar, you're still a darling, aren't you, same to him? This is your chance, Ar! You can fix your relationship with Beby."

No verbal reply came out of Arka's mouth. The man returned the Princess' enthusiastic gaze. Then, Arka opened her laptop back.

"Lo get out now. I want to continue writing the thesis."

***

In fact, not a single word was solved. The Arka's thesis is still the same as before the Princess entered her room. The man's brain was now filled with only one name: Beby.

Does Arka have to approach Beby? But, what if Beby doesn't want to meet her?

It's not impossible, Beby must hate Arka so much now.

As a result of thinking about this, Arka was awake all night. Even until Chika— his mother— returned to work, Arka had not slept at all.

Arka's eyeballs point at the wall clock in the right corner of the room. At 07:15, Beby must have woken up, right? After thinking about everything carefully, Arka finally ventured to approach Beby.

Arka came down from the bed. At that moment, he realized something. The man didn't want Beby to see his current self. Arka in a blue shirt typical of hospital patients, as well as an infusion hose on the right hand.

Therefore, Arka took off the infusion needle that stuck in her hand. Stupid time with hospital procedures. Arka doesn't care. After the infusion came off, Arka changed her clothes to a plain white shirt, as well as a subordinate to long jeans.

When Arka exited the room, she found someone in a white dress typical of nurses smiling meaningfully while raising a seductive gaze.

"Room of Roses number five" said the Princess with a meaningful smile still perched on her lips.

"Thank's, Put." Arka patted the left shoulder of the Princess twice. He just walked away. The abandoned princess could only shake her head in wonder. It was expected that Arka would react thus.

A few meters from Beby's nursery, Arka saw two men coming out of it. One of them Arka remembered right. Miko, Beby's second sister who often told the girl.

Arka sighed for a moment. Gather once again the courage that was left in him. Arka hope, Beby is not with anyone.

With steady steps, Arka approached Beby's nursery. His hand knocked on the door of the closed room.

"Lake in."

Sounded from inside there. Just hearing it, able to make a crescent moon perch on the lips of Arka. Even though the night had passed, and the moon was replaced with the sun.

Slowly, Arka pressed the doorknob. He threw a smile at the surprised-looking girl inside.

"Hi," said Arka. "Can't you come in?"

Beby who was still in a shocked expression only nodded briefly. The bead of his eyes tailed as Arka began to step in, close the door, and walk up to him.

An awkward silent atmosphere so densely enveloped the two people in the room. Not a single word was spoken, but their eyeballs were equally reluctant to move places. As if, Arka and Beby were conversing through gazes.

Arka smiled kindly, hoping to be able to slightly brush off the awkwardness. "How are you, By?"

The girl before him was still fixated with the same direction of gaze. Beby didn't know how to respond. Recalling the last time they met, brought back the pain in Beby's heart that Arka had created.

Beby should simply answer 'good' while commenting on a short smile. But why does it feel so hard?

The extrovert nature in Beby that makes him accustomed to expressing his heart, is now a boomerang for him.

"You ... What pain?" asked Arka again, ignoring Beby's words that made her heart throb pain. Arka wanted to bring the girl she loved into her arms. But in fact, Arka himself who makes himself not entitled to realize that desire.

Beby cut off the stare-to-eye action between them. His brown eyes stared straight ahead with full glare. "Regular. Tiredness."

Mangosteen arka. He pulled both ends of his lips back on purpose. "I came here to apologize."

"Do you know where I'm from?" Apparently, Beby deliberately switched the subject.

"From temen's. Last night he saw you being taken to the ER."

Beby turned towards Arka while laughing bitterly. "Temen or girlfriend?"

"I'm bothering you, aren't I?"

"Aren't you the one who shouldn't have a lot of time?

Basic lady. Being asked a question, even with a question.

Arka nodded. As he had expected, his presence was not expected here. "I'm sorry if that's it. Sorry to bother you."

"Fel."

The call made a sincere smile expand on Arka's lips. He turned around, facing back to Beby. "Yes?"

"No, if I miss you?"

'Deg!'

The heart of Arka stopped beating. All the scolding he had imagined came out of Beby's mouth falling out instantly. It's totally beyond belief. So, all this time Beby felt the same way as himself?

Arka took a step closer. Her sense of vision was glued to Beby's two teary eyes. Once the distance between them completely eroded away, Arka ventured to bring Beby into her arms.

Once again, a smile from the heart went out on Arka's lips, because Beby did not return his embrace with rejection.

"I miss you so bad, Ar," Beby said on the sidelines.

"Me too, By. I miss you more."

And Arka's voice just now, managed to make Beby's cry break.

Arka doesn't want to bother Beby. The man let the girl in his arms let out all emotions through crying. For Arka, Beby was the center of her happiness. Even to this day. Just by remembering every happy moment with Beby, Arka could forget that there was a malignant disease lodged within her.

Satisfied in tears, Beby broke her embrace. The girl brushed away the trail of tears that drenched her cheeks.

"Sorry" said Beby. "I should have realized that now you belong to someone else."

Another drop of tears fell from Beby's sense of sight. Arka wiped those tears while smiling warmly. "It's okay, By."

"Mending you out now. It's not nice if anyone sees us both here."

"Why? Is there a heart you need to take care of?"

Beby nodded. The girl did not care what was now popping into Arka's head. After all, Beby still needed time to rearrange his heart. About Aldef.

"Yes already. I say goodbye, yes," said Arka as she returned Beby's eyes. "Get's health. Don't tire. Don't stress. Many love you, By. You should be happy."

"That?"

"Hm?"

"Can we still be friends?"

I'd like Arka to answer, 'more than friends can too.' But, what came out of Arka's mouth was ...

"Sorry, By. I can't. After this, I won't bother you anymore."

Because the only purpose of Arka making her image bad in Beby's eyes is so that they do not need to meet again. Arka is enough to make sure the girl is happy. Thus, Arka could leave quietly.

I don't know when that was.
