ALDEBY

ALDEBY
|57.| Opportunity Costs

In the next location, Beby chose to watch on one of the platforms. Incidentally, there was Aldef's laptop in the car. Before that, Aldef and Beby bought some snacks in the mini market. They chose the park as a place to watch. More precisely, in the park parking area, because Aldef and Beby plan to watch in the car. Of course, with the car engine off and all the windows open.

"Well what do you want?" ask Aldef. "Drakor?"

"I think I'd like to try an Indo movie, huh."

"His title?"

"Assalamualaikum Candidate Imam."

"Waalaikumsalam, dear."

Beby looked at Aldef with glaring eyes. Seeing the reaction of the girlfriend, Aldef frowned in surprise. "Why? How, surprised? Bener, right? There's a greeting, tuh, answered."

Beby who realized from the shock caused by Aldef then hit the shoulder of the girlfriend. "That's the title of the movie!"

"Oh." Aldef's mouth forms the letter O. His laughter came out for a moment. "Kirain lo again said hello to me."

While looking for the film that Beby was referring to, Aldef asked, "Where can this film be recommended from?"

"From ...."

Beby's words paused. He realized there was a mistake here. It should not be that title that Beby wanted to watch. Because, the title of the film reminds Beby of the former.

One month before the break up.

"Where is it?" beby asked as he and Arka connected by phone.

"At home."

"Tumbens. Usually, if not in a hospital, on campus."

Arka laughed crisply. "Again peing rest. Here's another movie."

"What movie?"

"Assalamualaikum Candidate Imam."

"Not good?"

"The word is, uh, good. Want nobar?"

"Can you?"

"Tomorrow the night I go to your apartment."

Next day.

Right at the end of episode 2 Arka and Beby watch, Arka's phone rings.

"Yes, Prof? Good. Ja. I'm going there now."

Phone disconnected. Arka stared regretfully at Beby who was smiling sweetly at her. "Sorry."

"It's okay. Anyway, I'll wait for you. We have to watch this till it's over."

"good. You have to finish the movie with your future priest, yeah."

"Oh, it's a series, huh?"

One sec.

Two seconds.

Three seconds.

No response from Beby. Aldef, who was staring at the laptop screen, turned to the left. The girl should be quiet. His gaze implied Beby's mind was nowhere. Seeing the girlfriend daydream, making one name comes to mind Aldef about the person who recommended the series titled 'Assalamualaikum Candidate Imam' on Beby: Arka.

Aldef's left hand touched Beby's shoulder. "God ...."

"Huh? Yea? Why?"

Aldef laughed softly. "Why daydream?"

"G ...." Beby forcefully pulled both ends of his lips. "No. No why." His eye bead turned to Aldef's laptop screen. "Well, did you see the movie?"

The time shows at 04:55 when Beby invites Aldef to the next location. The series they are watching is not over yet. Today, Beby wants to see his little star appear in place of the task of the big star, aka the sun. And so, this is where they are now.

The sound of waves that blend with the afternoon wind, white sand that acts as a floor carpet, and the hands and shoulders of Aldef that feel warm. All of that is like the multiple comforts that Beby has never felt.

Of course, Arka is no exception.

"Lo likes twilight, Sky?" aldef asked in between his wisdom he felt the wind gently slapping the pores of his face.

"Okay," Beby replied without changing position in the least.

"Certainly? Why did you bring me here?"

"Make a happy break, as well as welcome the arrival of my favorite celestial object."

"meaning?"

Beby, who had been leaning on Aldef's shoulder, now stood up. His bead of eyes burst into the black eyes of the girlfriend. "Happy break for the sun to sink, welcome for the stars."

Beby laughing. "If you're alone, like twilight?"

"Like."

"Oh, huh? But, from your face, there is no sign of people who like twilight."

Aldef's turn to laugh. "Whose people like twilight, what's the mark on his face?"

"Nothing, anyway. I'm just the origin."

Aldef stared straight at the sun that was sinking. The man inhaled a lot of air, then exhaled it slowly. The sound of wind blowing which became a backsound of silence on the sand brought calmness within Aldef's soul. Brings for a moment all the memories of the unexpected events that happened lately.

"Sky, do you believe in destiny?"

"Believe, lah. If we don't believe in destiny, it means we don't believe in God. Some say life is like a show. We are just playing a character character, while God rules the scenario. If we don't believe in God, the role we play will fail."

"But fate doesn't happen, does it?"

"certainly. Destiny exists because man chooses. Back in High School, there was a concept of economics that explained why he had to be studied. Because in this world, human needs are limitless. While the tools of limited need."

"meaning?"

Beby laughed crisply. "Lo must be an IPA kid, huh?"

Aldef shakes. "IPS child gue. But often truant. Once in class during class, I slept."

"Basic!"

"Haha. Follow-up. So, why is it that human needs are limited?"

"Well, because the tools of human needs are limited, inevitably they have to choose. From these choices, a priority scale is born, which needs must be met. Then, among these choices, there is no way we can choose all. So, the choice we did not take was called opportunity cost. Usually, anyway, it's called Opportunity Cost."

"The same thing as destiny?"

"Every choice we choose has different risks. Like our relationship, for example. Must be different, right, if I choose nerima or nolak lo?"

Aldef nodded.

"The same goes for you. You definitely wouldn't be here right now, if you didn't ask me to be your girlfriend."

"If I had listened to your explanation earlier, we would not be here right now" Beby said in his heart.

In order to feed for the worms in the tummy thrashing, Aldef and Beby decide to stop by at the Lomera Cafe.

"Eh, that's Lola's the same Fahri, right?" beby asked Aldef who was standing next to him.

"Yes" Aldef replied. There was a sluggish tone behind his voice, but Beby was unaware of it.

They stepped towards the table containing six people who already had Lola, Kiran, Fahri, and Daren.

"Eh, it's a birthday, it's!" exclaimed Lola, because the girl who first saw the arrival of her best friend and her boyfriend.

Lola's cry made the other three pairs of eyes turn their heads. At that moment, Aldef and Fahri's gaze met. He took a position to the left of Beby who had sat first.

"Where was the candle light dinner?" kiran asked with a seductive look at Aldef and Beby.

The lovers looked at each other for a moment. "Currently" said Beby with a big smile. "Thank's you've helped Aldef."

"By, this is from me to you" Daren said as he held out a plain cream-colored box. "Happy birthday, yes."

"Thank's, Ren." Beby also received a birthday gift from Daren while commenting on a friendly smile.

"Well? What's this guy doing?"

The sound came from Lola, because she saw the arrival of Miko. Without hinting at Lola, Miko took a position to the right of Beby.

"Gue to the toilet first. Suddenly badmood," said Lola, staring intently at Miko.

"Any," murmured Miko.

"Aldef, your face why is it battered?" Kiran's question then made the gaze of the whole table centered on Aldef.

"So someone disturbed me. Continue, beaten, deh, same Aldef," said Beby quickly.

Of course, no one believed Beby's answer. Except Daren.

Then, the five people at the table went back to talking about Beby's birthday. Fahri and Aldef often look at each other. As if talking inside. Miko who was reluctant to nimbrung also chose to play the phone.

Shortly after, Lola returned. "Al, there's someone who's real, tuh," he said as he looked at someone behind Aldef.

Everyone turned their heads, including Beby. Aldef's eyes were perfectly rounded when he saw a shoulder-haired girl before him.

"Poppy ...."
