Always Gonna Be You

Always Gonna Be You
30. Never Let Me Go's

Saturday, 20:10

"Mba, I'm sleepy je (Mba, I'm sleepy)," said Mba Suko who yawned for some time. They were currently watching a television broadcast in the living room.

"Yes, Mba Suko slept first."

"Lha later Mba Anggi piye alone."

"No papa. And then my brother came home."

"Lho, did Mas Rendra come home at what time to. He said the plane was at nine?"

He smiled, "Yes the plane at nine. Let me know if I sleep too."

"Yo wis, I don't sleep yet. Later not set the alarm at ten o'clock so that it can open the door for Mas Rendra."

"Udah no papa Mba just sleep. Don't think about it, brother."

"Tenane you know (really)?"

He laughed while nodding. Making Mba Suko hurriedly move towards her own room. It seems to have been sleepy after a day of doing housework replacing the duties of Yu Jam which is a holiday every weekend.

After the death of Mba Suko he took a flash containing photos of his 7 monthly event a week ago, which had been sent home since a few days ago, but had not seen it.

"Mba please choose whichever one you want to print, then send it to me," said Fata, son of EO ManjoMaju.

He started taking the remote to look at the photos through the television screen. A moment later he was already smiling himself looking at the photos depicting the warmth, excitement, and cuteness of yesterday's event.

After marking favorite photos to be printed, including some photos of Adit that yesterday was deliberately coming because of the semester break, he turned off the television.

***

Hour 21.00

He who has not felt sleepy finally chose to turn on the television screen again, to look at his seven-monthly photos again. The stomach feel that is wrapped around makes it move towards the refrigerator to take a snack.

He smiled at the pile of food boxes that Rendra deliberately prepared for him. There are pempek, siomay, baso tofu, dumplings, panada, risoles. Then there is also cake in jar in various flavors and colors, triplechoc pudding, brownies, not to miss their favorite both, Belgian Chocolate flavor dessert box. Hmm, it's exactly like people want to sell this anyway.

He took a box containing pempek and Belgian Chocolate. The perfect combination while staying overnight waiting for Rendra who was flying from Jakarta to Jogja.

***

Hours 22.15

If the flight is smooth, then Rendra has landed at this hour. Maybe in an hour to get home. He also began to yawn while looking at the empty bowl of pempek former slippery toilets and empty boxes used Belgian Chocolate.

But even though he was sleepy he could not close his eyes, his stomach was still wrapped around. It feels a little like someone has a hard time defecating.

He decided to take a cup of triplechoc pudding and eat it. "Are you still hungry, baby?" he said while stroking his stomach.

***

Hour 23:20

He woke up because of a soft kiss on the cheek. Hmm, a very familiar mint scent.

"Again you home?" his eyes tried to blink and immediately looked at the pleasant brown bead. Rendra's hair looks wet and has been wearing a legendary black shirt, t-shirt when bonding the cluster. Which although it has been extraordinary, but still remains Rendra's favorite shirt.

"Well, what time has the house been taking a shower?" he frowned while rubbing Rendra's cheek.

But Rendra asked, "Why sleep on the couch?" smilingly stroking her hair.

"So I fell asleep again look at the photo," he pointed at the television screen that is now dead.

With a very smooth movement Rendra grabbed and lifted his body and walked towards the bedroom.

He smiled as his hands hugged Rendra's neck. "Rushan's sorted?"

Rendra nodded. He threw himself into Rendra's neck. "I'm so heavy, still so strong?"

"When the wife gets pregnant again."

***

Sunday, 01:05

He suddenly woke up because of the cramping attack the stomach. It hurts like a diarrhea person from eating wrong. Makes his stomach hard and stiffen like a rock. But gradually it began to disappear, still able to withstand the pain. He also went back to sleep.

***

Hours 02.15

The intense stomach cramps that made him wake up. This time it spread until his back felt so hot and painful. Until he had to train to the bathroom, and it was true that he had sudden diarrhea. Is it because it was eating pempek who made quite spicy shop?

***

Hour 02.55

Again he woke up because of a very severe stomach cramp. But this time he no longer felt like diarrhea. Only the stomach feels like twisting until the heat and pain again spread to the back.

"Why?" Rendra squinted her eyes to see him inching from the bed.

"A stomachache" he grabbed a glass on the nightstand and drank it.

"I olesin telon oil huh," Rendra rose to look for telon oil.

Slowly and tenderly Rendra rubbed his stomach with telon oil. So comfortable elusan Rendra on his stomach, he went back to sleep.

***

Hour 03.25

At dawn he woke up again.

"Still sick to the stomach?" Rendra also woke up.

He nodded while feeling astonished, what a strange stomach ache managed to make him wake up from a deep sleep many times. A whole lot of stomach pain, never to make him wake up from a deep sleep. There was also a stomach ache gone because he was sound asleep. But this is exactly the opposite.

"By here, what did you eat?"

"Not eating weird. Food in the house."

"Here, I olesin the telon oil again.

Rendra smeared his stomach until a few minutes before dawn time arrived. And he was even more surprised when he was about to catch up with Rendra to take ablution, suddenly an energy so strong pressing the area around the pelvis that he felt he would not be able to move even just to walk to the bathroom.

"Why you?" Rendra who had just come out of the bathroom was astonished to see her face crimson withstanding the pain.

"Why am I so hard to wake up, Bang?" while stroking his stomach that back feels wrapped around.

"Here I help," Rendra carried her to the bathroom to brush her teeth and take ablution. Fortunately, he was still able to pray while standing. After the prayer, he curled up on the bed.

"Still sick?" Rendra stroked her cheeks gently. He just nodded slowly.

"Yes, it will be a bit unfortunate we go to the doctor. Worried that your stomach ache is affecting the baby."

"No need, this is brought to sleep to be healed. I think the combination of shop and chocolate makes my stomach not good."

"Yes, let's see it later. If you still have stomach pain, go to the doctor."

"Where are you going today?"

Rendra shook her head, "You're both the same as my beautiful wife."

And elusan calmed Rendra in the area around the stomach managed to make him fall asleep again.

***

Hours 07.10

His eyes blinked due to the dazzling sting of sunlight that pierced through the sidelines of the curtainless glass window. It looks like Rendra is sitting on the sofa with a shrunken forehead in front of the laptop.

"Eh, are you awake?" sapa Rendra saw him walking over to the sofa.

"Geez, I got a lot of sleep at this hour just woke up," he shook his head in wonder. He usually never sleeps after dawn. There's just something he did. But this time it was different.

Rendra chuckled, "Are stomach okay?"

She nodded while stroking her large belly, as if leaving only a thin sheet of skin due to tens of times stretching for the place where her two babies lived.

Abdominal cramps have also disappeared slightly, but strong pressure in the pelvic area is still felt. "Abang is not going anywhere but a manyun in front of the lepi," he said.

Rendra again chuckled, "No. This is a quick email."

He again sneered while sitting beside Rendra.

"It's about to finish" Rendra typed quickly on top of the keyboard. "This is breakfast. Mba Suko again makes chicken porridge."

It wasn't until five minutes later that Rendra completely turned off the laptop and stored it. Then he went out of the room, then came back with a tray containing a bowl of chicken porridge that evaporated the fragrant aroma and a glass of warm sweet tea.

"I'm bribing ya," Rendra prepared to bribe him.

"I can eat myself," he refused subtly trying to grab the spoon from Rendra's hand.

But Rendra moved his hand to dodge, "I'm a bribe. When else can I bribe a wife who's pregnant."

He sneered. But according to open his mouth when Rendra began to feed a spoonful of porridge.

After eating a porridge of some bribes he actually felt cramping back up, this time it felt more pain until his back again felt a very painful pain. "Kok even became a stomachache again, Bang?"

Rendra frowned in surprise, "Yes, you fell down again. Later on tenth we go to the guard doctor," said Rendra while looking at the wall clock which currently shows at 07.55.

He complied by laying down on the bed. Hoping that the sense of entanglement will soon disappear. But he woke up with even more pain. Many times more than the previous pain.

Rendra stared anxiously, surely because her now paled face endured the pain.

"We must go to dr. Mazaya, worry you're okay. Not usually this stomach pain," said Rendra while wiping cold sweat that runs along the temple.

"It was cold sweat like this. It hurts like hell?" Rendra was getting anxious looking at him.

But he shook his head, "Don't bang first. It's Sunday, dr. Mazaya must have gathered with his family again."

"Who are we going to take your stomach pain to?"

He clearly had no idea. It was too complicated with the pain that re-spread until his back heated up. What a strange stomach pain. Just this time he felt a great pain to the point that cold sweat came out all over his body.

And he did not think at all who the person who finally called Rendra with an anxious voice.

Sunday, 09:10

He had no other choice, Anggi's pale face and cold sweat made his brain work quickly trying to deduce what was really going on.

"Hello, Mah, what's the news?" He decided to call his mother-in-law. Hoping to get answers about the cause of Anggi's stomach pain.

"Well, Anggi from last night had a stomachache. The danger is not Mah? It's out cold sweat."

Mamah's voice across there suddenly choked, "How many hours' pain?"

He tried to remember, "Every night is almost an hour awake."

"There's liquid coming out, isn't it? I think I pee but I'm not. Seep it?"

He looked at Anggi who was sleeping on the sofa.

"It looks like Mah is not. Anggi just said stomach ache like diarrhea."

"Keep the real diarrhea?"

He looked back at Anggi who was asleep with a pale face.

"I think it's Mah" he tried to remember. "But only once if it's not wrong. I don't go to the bathroom anymore. Just his stomach ache added."

"Now what a member, try Mamah to talk."

"The sleeping Mah. I think it's sick."

Mama's voice sighed, "When did you last see a doctor?"

He frowned, "About a week ago, before the seven-monthly event."

"What did the doctor say?"

"All is healthy and normal."

"If the doctor's calculations have been weeks to what?"

He had to check his phone to find out, "In the meantime Mah, check the records first."

"Yes." Yeah."

He then saw the memo inside the cell phone, where he kept Anggi's pregnancy milestones from the first week known to be pregnant to date. Complete with a photo of the big change of Anggi stomach every month and the results of USG.

"Last check week 31 Mah."

"That means it's week 32 huh?" Mom asked back. He also nodded.

"Ren," Mamah's voice sounded slightly trembling. "You need to calm down. Later, if Anggi has woken up, please check, whether len dir or blood came out of the birth canal. If so, you should hurry to the hospital. Those are signs of giving birth."

WHAT?!?

"But this isn't Mah's time yet?! The doctor says a normal birth is over 36 weeks?!?" suddenly he felt the walls of the room squeezing his body so hard. Cannot be. Anggi can't give birth now. Not-time.

"Ren, you need to calm down," Mamah with a more vibrating voice tried to remind her. "Don't think about it. Please help me check like Mamah said earlier. If there is, don't wait to go straight to the hospital."

With a restless feeling he sat staring at Anggi's face that was still sleeping, the tiny face looked so pale. My God, what is really going on? What will happen then? What can he do to help Anggi? What the....

"Sshhh..," hissing voice resisting the pain broke his reverie.

"It hurts again?"

Anggi nodded slowly.

He had to gulp before saying, "I can see ya."

"See what?"

He pointed to Anggi's. "Should I call Mamah, said Mamah to check that there was mucus coming out of the blood?"

Anggi frowned in surprise, "Why?"

"Just check it out."

Anggi shuffled up, "I check myself."

He waited anxiously at the bathroom door. Fear, worry, confusion, and a series of other strange feelings raged over him.

"Where?!" her tanyanya was scared as soon as Anggi opened the bathroom door.

And a weak nod of Anggi's head made his world suddenly collapse. With lightning fast he grabbed the wallet and car keys.

"We're going to the hospital now!" his roar while holding Anggi's body into his arms.

"No, no," he shook his head quickly. "Mba Suko, we go to the hospital first," he said to Mba Suko who was confused to see him carrying Anggi while half-running.

"You okay?" he set the seat Anggi in such a way as to feel comfortable. Anggi just nodded while holding his stomach.

"It hurts again?"

Anggi nodded back. Make him gas immediately to the hospital. Crashing into heavy Sunday afternoon traffic creeps in.

"Hello, dr. The mazaya? This is Rendra," he called in a trembling voice.

"My wife's had a stomachache since last night."

"Yes." Yeah."

"No."

"There was. There are. Just checked there was len mixed with blood."

"Yes Doc."

"This is us in the hospital."

"Doctor where?!"

"Oh, fine."

"Ready!"

He hung up the phone while sighing annoyed at dr. Mazaya is attending a family event in Solo.

"As soon as it's done I go straight to Jogja. The doctor will communicate with me. Don't worry."

As dr says. Mazaya's. Hopefully it's true. Thought Anggi who still grimaced in pain while stroking his large stomach. Hang on baby.

Sunday, 12:30

Everything goes so fast. Rendra was screaming in panic while carrying her body into the hospital lobby. Making two security people deftly try to help by preparing a wheelchair.

"Abang, no papa, I can still sit down," he stroked Rendra's hand, insisting on carrying her body to the third floor where the delivery room was located.

With an undefined raging feeling Rendra began to push the wheelchair he was riding towards the elevator. Then come out on the third floor. Where they were immediately greeted by a green-clothed officer who deftly helped him lay down on top of the hospital bed.

"We check first Mba," said one officer dressed in green friendly. "During the wait for Mazaya's doctor, Mba will be accompanied by us. Don't worry, everything's gonna be okay."

Officers dressed in green began to check body temperature, blood pressure, and measure fundal height. During the checking, Rendra continued to stroke her head gently with trembling hands.

"Now we used to have USG with Wafa's doctor" said the nurse, followed by the entry of a white coat into the curtain, then the nurse began to apply cold gel on his stomach.

"Mother how does she feel?"

"Good Doc."

"Don't strain ya, the contract will be more and more frequent."

"Contractions?" he nodded in wonder. "Not the contractions experienced before giving birth Doc? I'm only 32 weeks old."

"Yes right.abdominal pain that the mother feels is called contraction."

He was suddenly gripped by fear and worry.

"Fall fall?" ask Dr. Wafa again.

"It fell almost two weeks ago Doc" Rendra replied.

"Well..let's see..wah, twins yes...."

"This is good amniotic..good...."

"Good Placenta....."

"When the last check-up was the baby wrapped around the umbilical cord?"

"Yes Doc" again Rendra replied. "Week to 30 one baby is wrapped around the umbilical cord."

"It looks like the mothers' babies are so actively moving" Wafa said, pointing to a screen displaying the results of the ultrasound. "Because now both are wrapped around the umbilical cord."

"Both Doc?!" rendra's voice sounded trembling.

"One baby one circumference, the other baby.Three twists on the neck and abdomen. 360 degrees."

"That's how..no Papa Doc?" rendra's voice sounded increasingly shivering.

"It's still 32 weeks, yeah," Wafa's doctor typed something in. "Nobody's baby weight has reached 2 kilos."

"Let's less months."

"May it be preserved."

"W-you mean Doc??" Rendra asked quickly.

"While we give you medicine to reduce and stop contractions to prevent premature birth."

"Later we wait for the results, hopefully it can be maintained until enough months."

The nurse then begins to attach an infusion needle, catheter, and wear a belt that is connected to a CTG (Electrocardiograph) device.

"This is to monitor the baby's heart rate, also measure the frequency, duration and strength of contractions that occur," replied the nurse when Rendra asked the benefits of the tool.

He began to fall asleep when Rendra still asked many things to the nurse.

***

Hours 13.30

A voice woke him up, "I give you some more medicine."

"This is for Sus?" rendra's voice came from the side of his head.

"Because the birth canal continues to open, Mazaya doctors recommend giving drugs to help mature the lung organs in infants. For anticipation. But still hope the contraction-reducing drugs can work optimally."

"How much is Sus?" Rendra seemed to want to know everything the nurse was doing to her.

"If this one is to reduce the risk of brain damage to the baby. Also an infection."

"Everything's gonna be alright," either Rendra in his ear once knowing he has woken up.

"Mba if you wake up, please have lunch first, so there is energy," said the nurse after putting the drug into the infusion hose.

"Eat ya?" Rendra whispers. But he nodded, "Not hungry. Thirsty...."

Rendra helped straighten the back of his bed with a remote, then thrust a glass of water with a straw.

"Eat yes," Rendra again persuaded him while showing the lunch menu on the table in the form of white rice, broccoli, chicken katsu, fish and chips, corn cream soup, and chocolate pudding vla sauce.

"I don't know what you want, so I was that choice" Rendra said, trying to smile.

"If you want to change the menu too, I'll call the nurse."

But he shook his head, the sight of fish and chips turned out to be quite tempting. "You try" he said, pointing at fish and chips.

Rendra smiled happily, "I call the nurse to warm up first."

"No need," stop it. "Live to eat. It's cold, papa."

Rendra nodded in understanding. Then it started feeding fish and chips into his mouth. After three mouthfuls he suddenly wanted to ask Rendra something.

"According to Brother, I gave birth today?"

Rendra shook his head, "Doctors still hope that the contraction-reducing drugs work."

"I'm afraid" his eyes suddenly warmed up. Dare not imagine what will happen.

Rendra stroked her head gently without saying a word.

***

Hours 16.00

Dr. Mazaya comes to see him who is now in pain due to contractions, "It looks like our twins can't wait to see the outside world."

"Drugs don't react Doc?" rendra's voice was like it wasn't Rendra, there was a clear tone of fear heard.

"Openings continue to grow. This was five openings."

"So how's Doc?"

The voice of Rendra and dr. Mazaya suddenly moved away. Replaced by the voice of a nurse approaching him, "Contract again huh Mba?"

He who is asleep in a position tilted to the left can only nod while biting his lips to withstand the pain that surrounds the stomach to cause pain and heat in his back.

"To slightly reduce pain, Mba can practice breathing methods during pregnancy or pregnant yoga. You remember that, right?" the nurse said again.

He can't even remember anything but Rendra's frightened voice.

"Take a deep breath through the nose," the nurse apparently responded and began giving instructions. "Hold on a minute, then blow through your lips like you're whistling. Fffuuu......"

He began to follow the instructions of the nurse. After several breaths, he began to feel the direct benefit, which is not too much pain when the contractions came.

"Good," the nurse smiled as she gave a thumbs up. "Keep doing it Mba....Fffuuu....."

***

Hours 16.45

Rendra who had gone somewhere suddenly appeared and sat on his left side.

"Still sick?" asked Rendra while rubbing her head gently.

He just nodded while practicing the breathing method that had been taught by the nurse because contractions reappeared.

"I love you" whispered Rendra right in her ear, then kissed her cheek gently.

"I signed for Sectio" whispered Rendra still with lips pressed against her cheek. "Be brave...."

Rendra

17.00 Hours

He could only look at Anggi who was being prepared by nurses to move from the delivery room to the operating room. While inside his head was still ringing the scariest talk almost an hour ago.

"The medicine did not react as we expected, the opening of the birth canal continued to grow," dr. Mazaya gave him the information he had feared.

"The Anggi's hb is also low."

"The only thing I'm grateful for is that the amniotic fluid is still good and intact, not yet broken."

"So how should Doc?" if he could choose, he would rather be faced with the chaos of a committee or organization than have to face something like this.

"Because of these twins, both are wrapped around the umbilical cord, one of which is detected weak heartbeat, premature, BBLR. Mazaya sighed. "The only way is Sectio."

"If you have to be born, are your lungs and other organs mature? Are you ready to live outside your mother's stomach?!"

"So we have given a cure for the maturation of the lungs and other organs.we really hope it all works well."

"Can I please not?" a weak voice blew his daydream.

He nodded his head, "Can. This was my permission to see Dr. Mazaya. You can enter the operating room."

The nurses deftly pushed the Anggi hospital bed towards the operating room which was both located on the third floor.

He who was feeling tense half-dead was a little surprised to find the atmosphere of the operating room so warm by the sound of the Serenade no instrument.13 For strings in G major from Mozart that makes him feel like he is in the middle of a dance party typical of European nobles. Complete with the buzzing sound of the invited guests, which in this operating room comes from the chat voice of several doctors and nurses.

Earlier when he signed a statement of willingness to perform the operation, dr. Mazaya introduced him to several specialists who would deal with Anggi. Among other things dr. Dirgham, anesthesiologist. Also dr. Anton, surgical specialist. Later dr. Barata as a pediatrician as well as a NICU consultant.

"What is the Anggi MBA? Introduce me Dirgham," the anesthesiologist began to do his job by keeping Anggi busy chatting, while his hands deftly injected local anesthetic into the area around Anggi's spinal cord. He who stood on the right side also began to stroke the head of Anggi trying to give strength.

"Don't like the music?"

Anggi who looks very tense can only grimace.

"Can request a song to be more excited. Isn't that Doc?" dr. Dirgham looked at the Mazaya doctor who was preparing himself.

"Or Mas husband may be the one who chooses, must know the wife's favorite song."

"You can make a playlist for an hour, sisan ngono (all that)," said doctor Anton who is also preparing.

"What song do you want?" whisper it into Anggi's ear that just shook slowly. He also chose some songs that had become memories of their love journey.

Can't take my eyes off of you, I'll be, Till death do us part, Can't help falling in love, became a series of songs that became the first choice, the song was, and while he was still choosing Indonesian songs, Anggi whispered softly, "Love me tender...."

Doctor Dirgham just kept talking to the two of them, "Well, this must be all these memorable songs," dirgham doctor as soon as the voice of Mike Tramp chanting Till death do us part filled the air all over the operating room.

He just laughed while wiping the sweat that flowed profusely on Anggi's forehead. Then rubbing Anggi's head so as not to be too tense. At once grasping Anggi's hand as tightly as possible, trying to flow strength and courage, even though he himself felt almost exploded because he was gripped by a very fear.

'Love me tender, love me sweet

Never let me go

You have made my life complete

And I love you so

Love me tender, love me true

All my dreams fulfill

For my darling, I love you

And I always will'

(Elvis Presley, Love Me Tender)

Along with the flow of the tender Love me, there was a shrill cry of a broken baby filled the air throughout the room, making his eyes suddenly hot and filled with glass.

"Here we are, our good-natured babies" the voice of Dr. Mazaya sounded very relieved, with the help of doctors Barata tried to bring closer two small red babies almost all over his body covered by a white layer thick enough to the cheeks Anggi.
