Always Gonna Be You

Always Gonna Be You
6. Love Is In The Air

Orchids

After a few days yesterday busy with the business of returning toga, taking diplomas and transcripts of grades, then sending a number of job application letters, this Sunday Rendra asked him to leave, "You must like."

Nearly an hour or so they drive, far out of the city center. Passing through the winding road terrain that can only be passed by one vehicle, to have to take turns if cross paths with other vehicles. It turns out that Rendra directs the steering wheel to the beach area which is located quite hidden behind the hills.

Rendra also had to park the vehicle for almost 1 km before reaching the destination, then passing through a lonely rocky path, only occasionally cross paths with fishermen who have just returned to sea or farmers who want to go to the fields, without a single inn or stall like a tourist attraction in general. They were on a beautiful beach. The position of the beach flanked by two cliffs makes it look like a hidden paradise.

He also immediately fell in love once he saw the treat of natural beauty immeasurably decorated with clear bluish sea water stretching to the horizon.

Without saying anything he immediately took off the sneakers, and kept them under a tree. Then running small along the coastline while occasionally rotating spread two hands, feeling the breeze that hit the face while playing with the children's hair to fly increasingly here.

Feel the warmth of the softness of the white sand under the soles of the feet that cause a happy sensation as well as reassuring. After being satisfied running around he tried to close his eyes, enjoy the sound of crashing waves that hit the cliff, causing a typical beach atmosphere that will certainly be difficult to forget.

Amidst the psyche-soothing atmosphere, an embrace greeted him from behind, "You like it?"

He nodded, while trying to re-enjoy the sound of the waves, which was not easy because of the breath of Rendra blowing warm breath on the top of his head.

"There are still some beaches that are no less beautiful around here. We camp there sometime."

He smiled, but his forehead suddenly wrinkled, "Safe isn't it?" because his memory floated on the horror film he had seen with Mala, about a couple who were camping on an isolated island, but instead killed by a psychopath.

"Father," Rendra kissed a glimpse of the top of his head. "There's me...."

He sneered but smiled. They then kept quiet, both enjoying the quiet atmosphere of the beach. Only the sound of waves and the breeze of the sea is so strong that it gives off a distinctive aroma of the beach.

"The way at home is sorted out?" Rendra asked again.

He nodded. "I asked Shelia for help with Shakira to handle everything. Including the same WO."

Rendra further tightened the grip, "Good dong. You can focus on keeping your health in the same business here."

"It's also not certain."

"I haven't said yes, that Papah has agreed to the reception in three places."

"Seriously?" he spontaneously looked up until accidentally his head leaned against Rendra's chest. "When did Papah say that?"

Rendra just smiled meaningfully.

"Oh, when did you two leave until that very night?" he looked back in the distance, saw some fishermen were catching fish using a small canoe.

"One of them."

"Wrong two of them?" He sneered. "You must be talking to me, right?!"

Rendra just chuckled, then shifted the topic," Your passport is still active?"

He shook. Last used in the third semester, when he became a campus representative delegation at a debate competition that took place in Malaysia.

"If so tomorrow Monday please prepare the file. We're making e-passport."

"Make?" he frowned, his memory again floated to the line of writing and a series of numbers in Rendra's agenda book.

"Prepare to take care of the visa."

Before he could say Rendra first voiced, "From the second year of college, I have a dream.abis graduation will travel around Europe."

"My prayer is granted.it's a bonus anyway," while kissing the top of his head. "Because I'm going to travel together with you."

He had to gulp a few times, "You...have thought and...count well?" the question was careful without any intention of offending Rendra's financial ability.

"Key away."

"I haven't been able to contribute.I haven't worked.I haven't...."

"You think it's always uncomfortable if I handle everything?"

"That's not what I meant.I...."

Rendra put her head right on her shoulder, then whispered softly, "You deserve it all. More than anything."

After that they still had time to go down the beach to collect shells, make sand castles with empty hands, to run around chased by the waves that broke on the beach to make his clothes soaked, soaking, because he fell while trying to chase after Rendra.

The childish things they did together managed to evaporate the tension and worry ahead of the day H which had been shackling, leaving behind a bliss that had arisen.

Now Rendra's eyes are rounded as soon as he sees her out of the car, having been wearing Rendra's t-shirt and shorts, which so look very big when attached to his body. Yes, he was forced, inevitably, to borrow Rendra's shirt - which was always ready in the car - because his jeans and blouse were soaked and sticky in seawater.

Rendra smiled closer then grabbed the sleeves of the t-shirt that fell over his elbow. Slowly start rolling the tip of the right arm up to a few folds. Followed by the left arm. Until not great anymore.

He almost thanked her when Rendra suddenly tore the suture of the right side of the shirt for several inches, then tied it in such a way, that the shirt that initially looked like a negligee now turned more stylish.

But apparently Rendra has not been so satisfied with his latest appearance, and is still trying to observe as a whole.

"Don't macem-macem," his grunts at the sight of Rendra's frowning forehead staring at the pants that should be short turned into culottes when worn by him, so too big.

His grumbling made Rendra chuckle.

And on the way home, Rendra invited him to stop by lunch to the Lesehan stall which is a famous culinary Gunungkidul that has been legendary. The same stall as when they first walked together almost a year ago when he followed Rendra's activities all day to complete the script of the short film UTS duty.

"Well, Mase has rarely come here to yo," said the shop owner as soon as he saw Rendra.

"Neggih niki (Yes)," Rendra smiled. Since the Hospital project was completed a few months ago, he hardly ever stopped by this shop again. Usually almost once a week he takes the time to eat here.

"Remember the same, sir?" Rendra suddenly grabbed her shoulder to get closer.

The owner of the shop tried to remember. "Ketoke knows the spirit (seems to have seen it). Ning lali (but forgot)."

Making Rendra chuckle, "Lha yes, mba ayu (beautiful) is the one I have been eating here mbiyen (formerly). It used to be pdkt, now it's been a wife," Rendra increasingly grabbed his shoulders gently.

"Woo," Mr. shop owner until fascinated. "Smoke no (good dong). Iki Critone waru dadi historic place for your love trip. Ngono?"

Again Rendra chuckled, "Father pinter," while giving a thumbs up. "My father invited me directly, sir, tomorrow there is my friend who invited him here."

"Seriously iki? I'm by invitation?" The shop was fascinated again.

Rendra nodded, "Don't forget the 1st of May sir," then mentioned the name of the hotel where the reception will be held.

While enjoying a delicious meal, Rendra again invited him to talk about some things about after marriage.

"Wedding policy do you want to live in a house or apartment?"

"Whatever," he really did not have a picture of what life after marriage was like. And Rendra's offer, after all, both houses and apartments, are both located in the city center. Unconstrained distance and travel time for their future activities.

"Then we live in an apartment first."

He nodded in agreement, then remembered something, "You used to say I could do anything between...."

"Oiya, there's an empty position for Ilkom's son in Darrel's place. Remember Darrel, right? If you want, I'll tell him."

He immediately shook his head, "I've sent applications to several places. Maybe next week we start the process. Anyway, I don't want to work because of your recommendation. I want to work because of my own efforts."

Rendra chuckled, "Absolutely you."

And so began the wave of career opportunities in the most desired place Ilkom children began to come closer.

First, a continuation of the scholarship program he obtained since the 5th semester, a multinational company through the Head of Public Relations contacted directly by telephone and email, offering Junior Public Relations positions.

It is very tempting, especially the Head of PR emphasized that, "This is the best opportunity we offer. As an appreciation of your achievements during being a scholarship recipient."

Rendra only smiled as she told him about the phone. He did not comment until he said, "His office is in Jakarta. There's no way we're LDR, right?"

Finally - with the help of Rendra - he wrote an email reply containing a thank you as well as an apology for not being able to fulfill the offer.

One dead grows a thousand. After rejecting the opportunity provided by a multinational company, there was another offer that was not less interesting than dozens of cover letters sent.

"Why so many tempting offers, Mal? I'm so worried."

"Why is elo offered, Nggi? Am I not the one who is free?"

But he still had to refuse any offers that came, if making them have to stay apart.

"This is the exam ahead of the wedding?" this afternoon Mala came to Raudhah only to give her a government-owned Central Bank entrance test call, which was sent to the campus address.

"Other people are tested by third parties, same marriage plans, same material, same other things. Well elo. tested this same," Mala pointed to the envelope that stamped the logo, and almost all fresh grad like them.

But Rendra said as he tried to open the discussion, "Follow it. It's just a test, right?"

"All right now let's know how far you're going to get."

"If it's real?"

"The process is long, sweetie," Rendra smiled. "Tests there are many stages, the fall system, if I say the hell follow. It could be a valuable experience."

He also agreed, back and forth to Jakarta for writing tests and all sorts. Without ever daring to guess at the end he actually managed to get to the interview stage, which left only 10 of the best people from all over Indonesia.

"Continue" Rendra said as he called. Confused about whether to resign or move forward.

"But later if accepted continue not taken, I can be punished," he said masygul.

"Yes," Rendra was clearly trying to calm down. "You want to go ahead or hopefully. Choose whatever suits your heart."

He decided to follow the recruitment process. Everything almost becomes beautiful in time, but in the last session comes an inviolable requirement, which is not to be married during the first year. Makes him back off regularly, unable to betray Rendra for the sake of a self-actualization achievement. Nor is it able to lie to the interviewer in order to be in a safe position, as did one of the last 10 participants.

"I even married two months ago" said the person lightly, as if talking about a favorite television show. "Good that the status on the document has not been changed, it is still single."

"If one day they get caught?" it is precisely he who is worried about the consequences that will be accepted because he has hidden the status of marriage.

"No way," he seems like the kind of person with high self-confidence. "My husband wants cooperation, our family too. It's a pity that so far we have to retreat only because of status."

"You haven't married, have you?" continue the man.

"Two months away."

"Yeah, what a pity. Take it, your candidate will understand. Not everyone gets a chance like us."

But he still chose to go home to Jogja with his bare hands but his heart flowered. And immediately found the face of Sumringah Rendra who had been waiting for him at Tugu Station.

"You're not angry when I make a fuss about calling her, don't you accept it?"

Rendra smiled meaningfully, "No," then grabbed her shoulders gently, "Because I know what you're going to choose."

"What kind of indigo do you know about the hearts of others?" his lips.

Rendra chuckled, "I know you so well."

But a few days later Rendra actually returned to lure him, "There is still a spare time good until the end of April, want to try again?"

It cringes.

"There are openings in..," while naming a rising star Bank. "Regional recruitment, definite placement in Jogja and surrounding areas. Wanna try?"

"Who is afraid."

The next day, he sent a proposal directly to the regional office of Jogja, sorenya already got a call from HRD if tomorrow he was asked to undergo a written test.

The test, scheduled to last for a week, began with a written test of basic banking knowledge, with 20 participants. Next - again had to go to Jakarta - for psychotest, from Jogja only 5 people left. Then health tests, interviews with HRD centers, EPT tests (English Proficiency Test). Then an interview with the central Operational Director, another interview with GM regional Jogja, the last interview with HRD reg as well as a contract signature.

Finally, today is her first day working as a customer service. And at 6 am Rendra was already waiting for him on the terrace of Raudhah, "Oh, who is the first day of work," while frowning watching his appearance. Yeah, complete make up, full pressed body uniform, complete with heels that make his way limping.

"This is no good," shaking his head to comment on his full pressed body uniform. "Tomorrow we sew again, make it more polite."

And on the first day it was released into CS, he had been sprayed by customers up to three times. The third is due to the carelessness of the customer himself. But he must still put on a sweet smile, inhal.exhale, and then give an explanation with a tone as sweet as possible. Yeah.

But then he began to enjoy, although every day there are always new events that - unfortunately - more often annoying, making his new life as CS become more colorful.

Rendra moreover, no less busy, still have to often go out of town to check the running project. Their chances of meeting are getting smaller. They haven't even met this week.

"Eh, Nggi, no mo together? We're the same way" Alvin, his supervisor, took him home a few times. But he always refused.

"Oh, how did Anggi aja offered Mas anyway?" ledek Cynthia fellow CS. "I'm also dong, we're in the same direction..."

"Jakandor ya Mas," jeloroh Erra teller, do not love saggy.

Fortunately, he had seen a shadow of a car that was very familiar to him was parked in the office yard. Make it go straight, "Sorry Mas, I first," he said to Alvin. "First all yes," he continued, waving all the people who were also preparing to go home.

"Ati-ati Nggi..."

Sayup-sayup again sounded sloppy, "Well, bad Mas Alvin, the rival is not the cans."

"The man's man's innate."

"Will you go ahead?"

Rendra, as usual as always, opened the door and closed for him, then intended to wear a seat belt that had been hunted on his own. But he was stunned for a long time when he looked down where his feet were.

"When to go?" the question after they glided on the highway - two days ago Rendra did have a job in Solo-. "Not told you if you want to pick me up."

"So late in the afternoon" Rendra noticed the lights turning red as they passed a crossroad and had to stop the car abruptly.

"But you know I'm coming.the evidence goes right out," then chuckles. "Kangen yes..."

He just sneered.

"Yes, tonight we eat in Raudhah anyway," pointing to the back seat. "Then I bought your favorite food."

He smiled, "Well, thank you for buying food."

"Abis I think you must be cape home from work. Where the clock like this the road is jammed," while paying attention to the heavy traffic. "Lending we relax in Raudhah, mumpung no Salsa," then chuckle. "There is still a power vacuum. No one was rumbling to go home, "this time while chuckling.

"You said that I was kangen with Mba Salsa," he said. Making Rendra sneer back.

As soon as Raudhah arrived, he went inside to get the tableware. As he was sitting while moving food into the plate, Rendra suddenly knelt down next to him.

"Why what?" tanyanya.

But Rendra did not answer, "Sori bentar," then grabbed his right leg, clean the scuffed wound of the former use of heels with alcohol, smeared it with Betadine, blew a moment, before finally covered with waterproof plaster.

And also his left foot. Rendra did the exact same thing.

"If allowed to get infected," said Rendra while blowing a betadine spread on the left leg. "Tomorrow to go home with flip-flops first, so that the wound does not add."

As long as Rendra did all that with a movement that in his eyes looked slow motion, he could only bite his lips to hold back the happy mix that made his chest bulge.

'Love is in the air everywhere I look around

Love is in the air every sight and every sound

And I don't know if I'm being a fool

Don't know if I'm being wise

But it's something that I must believe in

And it's there when I look in your eyes'

(John Paul Young, Love Is In The Air)
