Thomas is dissolved in his own reverie as he walks down the aisle to Ana's room. After Ana regains consciousness, the real crisis begins. How not, Ana needs a kidney donor to replace her damaged kidney. If not replaced, then forever Ana will live dependent on dialysis. Donating kidneys is not as easy as it is obtained even though the family has a lot of money, because it is not always the donor's kidney will match the patient. Moreover, there were no relatives Ana the closest.
“Thomas... Thomas...” someone called him. Too busy, he didn't hear it. Until the man holds his shoulder. Thomas was surprised and looked.
The hue of his face immediately changed, he was very surprised to be greeted by Theo and his wife. For what reason, he met them at the hospital. But his surprised face immediately turned happy when he saw Theo, as if he had hope. Theo certainly can help him with the extraordinary capacity owned by Theo.
Theo's face was also shocked, especially after he saw the passageway where the man came out. Why did he come out of the baby room? Could it? Theo also hooked up with Ana whom he could not get in touch with these few days.
“What are you doing here?” ask Theo. It was very desirable he pulled Thomas's collar, if not remembering this sat he felt in a public place. He is also currently with his pregnant wife. “Where is Ana?” ask Theo to the point. Logically, when Thomas no longer whines to meet Ana, he must have met Ana, no!
Thomas looked at Theo a little longer before answering his question. “Follow me,” he said while letting Theo and his wife follow him.
“The baby is Ana isn't it?” ask Thomas on the way. He wanted to be sure when he saw Thomas coming out of the baby hall. “Your son?” ask again.
Thomas nods in agreement, knowing that even though Theo is married, Ana is now the man's fiance. There must have been something in Theo's heart that made the man feel sad. If all goes right, the child Ana was born to must be Theo's, not hers.
Theo is a little hurt when he finds out the answer, if Ana has given birth. Does that mean they are cheating? Has Ana cheated on him? Theo desperately wants to turn around and refuses to meet Ana. But apparently, his longing was greater than his anger. In his heart he wanted to see the girl.
Wendy, who knew little about Ana from her in-laws, clasped her husband's hand, giving him strength.
After they had walked far enough, Thomas stopped. Theo and his wife also stopped. But why did they stop in the hallway? Theo wondered in his heart. But then he knew the answer as he unintentionally turned his head. Behind the glass, sleep Ana, her little sister, her beloved girl. Ana fell asleep with various hoses on her body, as well as various monitors around her. A woman, known as Mama Thomas, sits next to Ana in a sterile robe.
Theo put his hand on the glass, wanting to see more clearly, was this really his Ana. Tears of powerless tears dripped down his cheeks. In her shadow some time ago, Ana was happily surrounded by many people who visited her because the girl had just had a baby. But the truth is, Ana can't even see her own baby. He blames himself, why he always thinks negatively of Ana. Though all that he accused Ana of nothing is true and he continues to think that Ana made a mistake.
Wendy walked a little away, though she did not know much about what was going on, she was quite self-conscious and did not want to disturb this moment. He believed Theo would not leave her with their baby in her birth. He also sat on the bench of the hospital not far from where Ana was treated.
“Ana fell in her house and was bleeding, the doctor gave her a blood transfusion, but in the second pouch the nurse replaced her with the wrong pouch. Ana has kidney failure. The baby must be operated immediately in order to be saved. From that moment on, he did not wake up again. She's in a coma due to postpartum shock,” Thomas explained.
“How can? Didn't you look after her?” theo was angry.
“You jerk!” Thomas scolded Theo. “Why didn't you tell me in the first place that Ana lived there. If you know so I'll meet him early and take care of him.” Thomas was no less angry. “I don't want to lose him, hu hu.” Thomas said as he wiped a tear on his cheek.
Theo patted Thomas on the shoulder trying to calm him down. “Lantas how it is currently developing?”
“We are working on a kidney donor for him, but kidneys are not things money can buy. Although we can get it, it doesn't always suit him,” Thomas said.
“Can I meet Ana?” ask Theo.
“Of course,” replied Thomas. “I'll ask my Mama out,” she said as she walked into the room. The room where Ana was being cared for was a place that had to be sterile, so before entering, they had to wear special robes.
Theo turned towards his wife, “forgive me I can't accompany you home. I'll ask the driver to pick you up,”. For women, it may be painful if the man is not able to move on from his old love. Especially now that Wendy is pregnant with her baby, she does not want to hurt Wendy.
“What, I will wait for you here,” replied Wendy. “I want you to know that I support you, even though the past has nothing to do with me. But your future is always faithfully waiting for you here. Just finish everything correctly so that there is no burden in the past that you will regret later,” said Wendy.
Theo hugs his wife, though his heart is not yet fully for his wife but he will try to complete the burden of this past. “Thank you, my wife.” Theo's whisper. He was very grateful for his wife's understanding.
