Chapter 61: The Christmas Party

Christmas has come!!

Today is December 25th, Russell and his friends will begin their year-end activities with the Christmas Party and exchange gifts. Russell woke up this morning around 8 a.m.

After that he went back to look at the shelves available in convenience stores, hoping to find other interesting items to give at the gift exchange tomorrow.

"Hmm. This seems like a good fit for Ayaka, okay I bought this too.." Said Russell, he again found an item that seemed suitable to be given to Ayaka.

After getting all the gifts he wanted, Russell immediately returned to the village and went home to his other activities.

Christmas party this time Russell and his friends have determined where they will gather, namely in a cafe near their home, so they taste there is quite suitable for exchanging gifts while enjoying food and drinks that they can buy at the cafe.

After getting a table for 7 people, Russell immediately sat in one of the chairs while waiting for his friends to come.

Shortly after, Ayaka, Miko, and Mikael came and went to Russell, who was sitting alone.

"Hi Russell.." Ayaka

"Hi Cell. Have you been waiting a long time?" Mikael

"Not yet, let's sit around.." Russell

"Hmm, the others haven't been on the dateng huh?" Mikael

After waiting for some time, finally Michael, Rafael, and Wisang arrived at the cafe and they immediately joined the table.

"Let's get your presents out." Mikael

After that they all immediately took out the wrapped gift and they put it on the table.

"Here's my gift." Michael said

"All of these gifts are we wrapped with wrapping paper, so maybe we will vote only once?" Russell

"Okay if that means in writing the lottery numbers first time yes?" Michael said

"Oh, here it is please." The cafe waiter

"Hmm.. which is popular in this cafe what is the menu?" Russell

"We have a cupcake, if the food is omurice." The cafe waiter

"Omurice, do you want to eat?" Russell

"Ohh omurice here can be half a serving huh?" Rafael

"Well, it can be cheaper." The cafe waiter

"Who wants omurice?" Rafael

"I." Michael said

"May deh." Wisang

"I'm also trying to." Mikael

"Well on the buy, jude, I'm on the trail." Russell

"Five me? How about Miko?" Rafael

"Hmm, we're cupcakes." Ayaka

"OK on done." Say Ayaka after finishing writing the numbers on each gift, and make her draw paper.

"Yosh, it's all written down." Wisang

"OK, that means we can vote right now." Russell

"I'm so impatient." Mikael

"But the food hasn't come yet.." Michael said

"Hmm, really, too." Rafael

"How about we vote now, but open the card later finished eating how?" Russell

Shortly after, their food and drinks were ready.

"Here you order, merry Christmas and enjoy the meal.." The cafe waiter

"Good meal.." Michael said

"It's delicious as hell." Mikael

"Take it, eat it.." Rafael

"Hmm. yummy turns out, this is really a popular menu." Russell

"Pay in the popular menu.." Mikael

"His son turned out, I might go to this cafe often later." Michael said

"The cake is good too." Ayaka

"Enak? Good, it means that this cafe is quite good, the same as the cafe in the city." Russell

"Rubber, I agree." Rafael

After finishing all the dishes they had ordered, finally the gift exchange began immediately.

"Let's open your lottery numbers!!" Russell

"I got the number 1." Wisang

"I got a number 7." Ayaka

"Eh-a-I got the number 6." Miko

"Well, I got number 2 turns out." Michael said

After they all hand out gifts according to the lottery numbers they have obtained, now they are all preparing to immediately open the gifts they get each.

Finally they both can open the remaining two gifts.

"But their gifts can complement each other." Ayaka

In the end to spend time, Russell and his friends chat about many things together, so it does not feel like a few hours have passed, and now time has shown at 22:00, he said, it is very late and the cafe's operating hours will close soon.

"I'm sorry everyone, the cafe will be closed soon, because it's 22:00, if you'd like please leave this cafe because we'll clean up." The cafe waiter

"Ah well, sorry to trouble." Russell

"Well, we'll be leaving the cafe soon." Rafael

Everyone has walked home from the cafe, it just so happens that Mikael and Miko go home together because Mikael reasoned that it was late and it would be dangerous if Miko walked home alone, so he went to deliver it (another reason being that their house was one way). Rafael has returned home picked up by his driver, while Wisang and Michael seem to go home together because their home is also one way. Meanwhile..

"You want to walk now Ayaka?" Russell

Russell and Ayaka finally make their way home together, the cold night air plus the strong enough wind blowing from all directions quite disturbing the journey towards home.

"It's cold, yeah.." Ayaka

"Yes, I think it'll be raining tonight." Russell

"That's why we have to hurry.." Ayaka

"Yes, come.." Russell

In the middle of the journey to their house the wind blew very hard and carried the paper bag carried by Ayaka.

"Eh?" Ayaka

"Hup!!" Russell said, lucky he still had time to catch the bag before being carried by the wind into the air.

"Well, thank God it's still possible." Ayaka

"Eh? Whatisthis? Knitted scarf?" Russell

"Ah-i-it's a scarf that I knit myself.." Ayaka

"What's so good, it's not finished yet?" Russell

"Well, I was gonna give it to you.." Ayaka

"Ehh? Really?" Russell

"Yes, but I'm afraid you don't like it, because I can't knit, a few days ago I learned to knit with Miko." Ayaka

"Thank you, I gladly accept." Russell

After that Russell drove Ayaka to his house, then he went home on his own to his house. Arriving at his house, the rain immediately fell. Russell immediately cleaned himself up and prepared for bed.

"Well, the Christmas party is interesting.thank you for the shalya Ayaka.." Russell said slowly.

Christmas has finally arrived.. Day after day changed, and now the calendar shows December 25th!!

On the schedule of the year-end party series they had made before. Today, Russell and his friends will be having a Christmas party as well as a gift exchange event held at the cafe house near their home all later tonight.

One day earlier, Russell had gone to an urban area to look for gifts throughout the day. He looked for it ranging from convenience stores, to unique goods stores. He did so that his friend who got a gift from him did not feel disappointed if the item was not in accordance with his wishes. Russell looks for all-day gifts that he feels are appropriate and interesting to give to his friends.

In the end he had found the entire gift just as he wanted.

The next day, Russell immediately arrived on time at the cafe and soon followed by other friends. Because everything was complete, then the gift exchange event began, they raffled the lottery numbers and scrambled all the gifts to be drawn.

Before opening the gift they eat the dish they have ordered first, and when everything is ready, they begin to open the gift they get and have fun together until late at night.

In the end, Russell and Ayaka return home together again, in the middle of the journey they exchange scarf gifts with bracelets that they have been preparing for the last few moments.

Well, a memorable Christmas begins the end of the year with great fun.
