Chapter 9: Grief

"Akh." Wisang said after being hit by a slash from Jack's Retractable spear, then he fell.

"Is that all you're capable of, boy?!" Jack said

"Cihh, it's still not much." Speak while standing back.

"Oh, then come here!!" Jack.

Jack ran quickly towards Wisang, but this time Wisang had anticipated him by setting up a defensive position using his Demon Claw. When Jack tries to slash Wisang with his Retractable spear, Wisang fends off his attack fairly quickly, and Jack's weapon is instantly unleashed from his hand.

"Bad attack, now accept this!!" Wisang said, this time he used the Ambush technique, then slashed towards Jack's body. Instantly Jack who was right in front of him could not avoid the attack from Wisang which directly led to him. After being hit by the attack Jack found a wound on his body due to Wisang attack earlier.

"Did my attack succeed?" Wisang

"A strike like this won't directly finish me boy!!" Jack said, He returned to using his regeneration mode, and shortly after that the wounds on his body quickly recovered in a matter of seconds.

"So, it's not gonna be easy." Wisang

"Here you are!!" Said Jack who was suddenly in front of Wisang.

"WHAT?!"  Wisang

*BRUKKK

Jack kicked Wisang so hard that Wisang was thrown far enough to finally stop after hitting a tree behind him.

"Akh." Speak of the pain.

"This pain has not been as much as my past suffering!!" Said Jack, He stepped on Wisang's back so as not to escape.

His name is Jack. He was a young man who came from an area that in the past often had wars. Jack's harsh past makes him have to survive from various threats. When Jack was born, his parents who had the status of ordinary people who worked for local companies had to face various trials. It starts with Jack's father being forcibly laid off from his job when Jack was 7, and then requires him to sell with Jack's mother.

But the conditions where they live that do not allow to sell because it is very vulnerable to war resulted in them having to leave the sale. Jack's father, who at the time did not have much expertise, required him to work as a cleaner at a bar near their home. While Jack's mother whose health condition began to decline resulted in not being able to come to work and remain at home.

Jack, who was at home, chose to accompany and take care of his mother whose health continued to decline. Jack's father who worked fittingly also did not get a matching income until a few months after Jack's mother died. At the time, 13-year-old Jack was devastated by the passing of his mother.

After that, Jack who lives with his father feels very lonely because when Jack's father goes to work at the bar, Jack must be at home alone which makes him very saturated. One day Jack was alone because his father was working at the bar. Until in the afternoon his house was beaten by someone. Jack who woke up opened the door and was very surprised, people who banged on the door said that near the bar where his father worked there was a considerable war going on. 15-year-old Jack ran straight to the bar without thinking. When he got there, he saw that the bar had burned down and left only the rubble of the building, there was a flame where, and there was the sound of guns clashing. Jack tries to find his father in the rubble of the bar.

In the end, Jack managed to find his dead father, there was no one who survived in the bar. Jack who was crying among the rubble of the bar did not realize that the sound of his crying was heard by one of the fighting groups. The group approached Jack and were about to kill him. Jack, who at that time was resigned and desperate because he could not do anything more like giving himself up.

One of the men stabbed Jack. Suddenly.

Someone appears in their midst, and protects Jack. The man uses a magic that makes a black explosion that kills the entire group of people at war. Then the man approached and took Jack somewhere.

When Jack wakes up he is shocked and frightened by the person's whereabouts, but the person calms Jack down and explains who he is and what his purpose is to help Jack, in the end Jack was taken care of by that person and taught many things, one of which was his regeneration technique. And because Jack had nothing left for him, Jack follows the man and joins the organization that the man formed (The organization of ten men who are after the legendary weapons belonging to Russell and his friends).

Until now, Jack was dealing with Wisang.

"How's boy?!" Jack said

'Eghhh.. I can't move.' Speak in the heart.

"Curtain, have you fainted? It's so weak." Said Jack who saw Wisang no longer move. He deactivated the regeneration technique from him

"When I still want to have fun with you. But what can I do. Die you boy!!" Said Jack, who was about to stab Wisang.

Wisang realized, by pretending to faint Jack would be off guard because he felt that Wisang would be easy to kill, but precisely because of that Jack so caught his guard and deactivated his regeneration technique. And now it's time for a counter-attack.

But Russell, Mikael, Rafael, Michael and Ayaka are now..

"How did he get out of that energy ball prison?!" Rafael

"It's my turn now." Akane. He again takes the scroll, and raises San, his strongest pawn so far.

"W-what is he again!?" Rafael

"How?" Michael said

"Now that my Weathering technique can be used again, my energy has accumulated enough to use the technique." Russell

"Does Russell's technique destroy a weapon of that size?" Ayaka

Russell and Mikael run ahead, followed by Rafael who makes a protective wall, and Ayaka behind him with Michael who is charging.

"The same strategy? Ohh this is gonna be interesting!!" Akane

Ayaka throws the shuriken towards San but it does not hit her, it is intentional because Ayaka wants to distract San like the original plan, and sure enough, it is intentional, after Mikael was directly in front of San and slashed at him, San took a few steps back, and then Russel used his Weathering technique. San who was unable to dodge fended off the Sacred Black Staff with an axe weapon in his right hand. Then instantly the weapon was crushed to ashes and San was pulled back and sealed back in a scroll by Akane.

"Damn it!! They managed to trap him, I have to deal more slowly with them. Now what about this one." Akane said, reopening the scroll again and this time taking out the next pawn.

Two silhouettes emerged from the smoke, and when Mikael saw the two he was shocked.

"W-what?! No way!!" Mikael

Return to the state of Wisang who has devised a strategy to defeat Jack.

"Die you boy!!" Said Jack about to attack Wisang who looks motionless.

"NO AKANN!!!" Speak Wisang got up and immediately turned around, while slashing Jack's neck.

"Akhnah.." Jack whose neck was hit by a slash immediately fell backwards and held onto his neck.

"D-damn it!!" Jack said

"I already know. I remember what Russell said a while ago, He said that all techniques must have weaknesses, want any technique and as strong as anything, must have their own gaps and weaknesses, and now I'm applying it to your technique. When you see that I feel like I passed out, you immediately deactivate your regeneration technique because I feel I will no longer be able to attack, when it is only a diversion and it turns out that my strategy is correct. You're not that strong, Jack, and now I'm gonna kill you!!" Said Wisang while directing his Demon Claw towards the face of Jack who was sitting on the ground.

Wisang who managed to use his tactics now turned to attack Jack and managed to paralyze him for a while. Then resistance also occurs where Russell, Mikael, Ayaka, Rafael, and Michael are, they managed to make Akane attract San, but Akane instead raises a pawn that makes Mikael very surprised. I guess what Mikael really knows about Akane's pawn this time?
