As pretty as a Butterfly

As pretty as a Butterfly
Chapter 53. Start dropping off

At night.

Mrs Caca received a call from Mrs Berta.

"City ... Yes, Mrs Berta, good night. How are you doing? Has Floren gone home, how's he doing now?" ask Mrs Caca.

"Don't you pretend to be nice to my family, Big Lady. I didn't call you to hear your good-ass talk!" reply Mrs Berta.

"Sorry Mrs Berta, but what's wrong with you? Why are you saying that?" mrs Caca was shocked when she was yelled at by Mrs Berta over the phone.

"Hey Great Mistress, don't pretend to be nice continue like that. What do you mean be nice to my daughter but in fact you have hurt her heart" said Mrs Berta.

Madam Caca blinked her eyelids many times, feeling puzzled by Mrs Berta's words.

"What do you mean, Mrs Berta? I don't understand it at all" asked Mrs Caca.

"Allah! pretend not to know, actually your son already has a girlfriend and you must have known the woman too, right? You brought a girl for your son, regardless of how my daughter feels. You are so heartened to forget your son's relationship with my daughter just like that. Remember this Big Madam, I will never forgive your son's bad attitude for making my daughter cry and hurting her heart!" Mrs Berta was upset.

"Sorry Mrs Berta--" Mrs Caca said, interrupted when Mrs Berta closed the call unilaterally.

Madam Caca then fell silent feeling not understood by the words of Mrs Berta. He placed the phone handle on the table with a wondering heart.

"What does Mrs Berta mean? Who's the woman Mrs Berta refers to as Miki's girlfriend?"

Bend day.

A bright Monday morning, as bright as Michael's heart when he saw Jelita wearing a gray white uniform just came out of the minimalist iron gate, where Jelita lives now. The sweet girl stepped foot quickly, about to head for school.

Jelita is racing against time, in order to find a public vehicle so that she is not late to school. But his footsteps came to a halt, as a luxury car drove by slowly starting to approach him.

The back of the car glass slowly came down, until it saw a handsome man who was none other than Michael.

Whether exposed to the wind what Michael had woke up this early and what was even more surprising was that the man a million charms had been waiting for Jelita in the car since then.

His cool style runs out with a beautiful face, successfully making Jelita flabbergasted and staring in admiration of the man.

"Morning .." said Michael.

"P-morning," replied Jelita.

"Hurry up, let me take you to school, let me take you, Michael.

"T-no, I just want to take the questionnaire," Jelita replied subtly refusing Michael's request.

Jelita again walked past Michael's car and preferred to wait for public transportation in front of the mansion patiently.

But Michael seemed to dislike Jelita's rejection. He let out a long sigh, then rushed down from his car.

Then, without saying much, Michael pulled Jelita's arm to go with him into the car, before the girl boarded the public transport that led to her school.

"Michael, hey! What do you want? Ah look at that the angkot has come!" Jelita jerked Michael's hand to escape, then rushed to stop the public vehicle.

Michael who was still standing in place, immediately confronted Jelita who wanted to enter the angkot.

"Wait for Jelita, don't go up!" pinta Michael while facing Jelita with one arm in front of the door.

"Michael what do you want? don't block me. You can make me late for school." Jelita tried to take off Michael's hand which was still blocking him.

"No Jelita, you better come with me. I'll ask my driver to drive you to school first, and then drive me to college after that" Michael said, then pulled back Jelita's arm, when he saw too many male passengers in there.

"Hei Neng, so go up?" the angkot driver asked half-shouting and was still waiting for Jelita patiently.

Jelita who felt bad for the angkot driver then held the arm of Michael who pulled himself to stop. "Wait Michael. What about the angkot, the angkot driver's still waiting for me."

Michael stopped for a moment and turned to the public vehicle driver who was still waiting for Jelita. "Sir, he's not going up!" michael said to the angkot driver, then walked back while pulling Jelita's arm.

The angkot driver looked a little disappointed then satirized Michael with a slight shout. "Fear the girl is seduced by other guys! Therefore, if you have a girlfriend, do not be cute, if you are afraid of being seduced, it is better to be alone in the room!"

Passengers and drivers in the car can be seen laughing while staring sinisterly at Michael. But Michael did not comment on the words and also the insinuations of passengers and drivers of public transportation.

Michael then entered the car casually, at least he felt relieved because Jelita did not get on the public transportation containing many adult men with suspicious looks.

"Michael what's wrong with you? ..." asked Jelita, confused by Michael's behavior today. But the man did not answer Jelita's question at all.

Michael then asked the driver to take Jelita to school. "Sir, we take Jelita to school first, then take me to campus."

"Well, Young Master," obeyed his personal driver Michael.

Jelita turned to look at Michael in the back seat, wanting to ask why the man had forbidden her from taking public transportation. But his intention was stuck when he saw Michael was seriously playing his laptop.

He simply rubbed his wrist that was slightly reddish due to the grip of Michael's hand being so strong.

Michael accidentally saw the reddish mark, on Jelita's wrist. He then sighed and felt bad for Jelita, for pulling the woman's arm forcibly.

"Sorry, I was rude to you. Does that hurt?" ask Michael.

"Of course it hurts, if not where it might get this red," Jelita replied as she continued to rub her wrist.

"I'm sorry, I'm not banning you for no reason. I just don't want you to go on that public transport, because I think there's going to be a lot of danger in there" Michael said with a straight look at his laptop screen.

Jelita fell silent and thought, Michael seemed to care about her. He smiled and looked back. "Oh so ... Sorry Michael, I didn't think that far."

"It's okay, here's where your hand let me see" Michael said.

"No need, it's fine, '" replied Jelita while showing her wrist.

"Oh yes," replied Michael.

They then fell silent, busy with their own thoughts. Then Michael closed his laptop, he saw Jelita who was focused on looking at the street.

"Jelita ...."

"God ...."

"Do you not mind, if from now onwards I will take you to school," said Michael, looking at the rearview mirror in the car and staring at Jelita who also looked at him.

Jelita looked at the handsome face for a moment and found seriousness in the look in her eyes. He smiled and looked back.

"Alright Michael, it's up to you. Actually I don't mind, because if you take me to school, other than I feel safe, it could reduce my transportation costs." Jelita chuckled and Michael just smiled at her.

Jelita then sat back down as before and looked at the street straight in front of her. He glanced at the man behind him from the rearview mirror in the car.

"Michael ...."

"Hem ...."

"Thank you ... Thank you very much" said Jelita.

"Ck! Why thank you?" ask Michael.

"Yes thank you for caring for me" Jelita replied.

Michael smelled a smile. "Together."
