Astral Pet Figure
Mutations

Su Ping shifted his focus back to the Small Skeleton. According to the process described in the Ancient Pet Contract, he bit his finger and slowly dyed the forehead of the Little Skull with his blood.

The Little Skeleton was still sitting there, dazed. It seemed to be unaware of everything around it, but then the Little Skeleton reacted to the smell of blood on Su Ping's finger; a faint red color appeared in his hollow eye sockets.

Little Skull slowly raised his arm to grab Su Ping's hand, although Su Ping withdrew his hand right after he finished painting his contract.

An intricate blood pattern was engraved on the forehead of the Small Skeleton.

As Su Ping lowered his hand, his blood pattern disappeared bit by bit as if the Little Skull had absorbed it.

In the next moment, Su Ping felt an additional line in his consciousness related to external consciousness.

The second is a fairly weak consciousness, like a flickering candlelight that can be extinguished at any time.

From a weak consciousness, Su Ping felt a hint of fear and confusion.

"Is this the consciousness of the Small Skeleton?"  Su Ping looked at the Little Skeleton. With the strength given to him by the contract, he could clearly feel the change in Little Skull emotions.

The Little Skeleton looked up, staring blankly at Su Ping. It was still puzzled about the recent changes it had undergone.

Su Ping patted his little head. After all, the Little Skeleton had just appeared. There is no legacy or memory in it. It was only natural that the Little Skeleton would be chaotic about everything.

Su Ping went to open the door. As the sunlight flooded the shop, he suddenly felt a fear coming from Little Skeleton's mind.

He turned around, only to see the Little Skeleton that had fallen off the counter. The scattered bones slowly moved into the shadow at an angle near the counter. The Little Skeleton reassembled itself. It hugged his knees, curled up, shivering in fear.

"Is it fear of sunlight?"

Su Ping was surprised. He realized that he knew nothing. The majority of pets from the demon family preferred the dark environment. A small percentage of them are so afraid of sunlight that they can only survive in the darkness.

Su Ping immediately returned and brought the trembling Little Skull into the pet room at the back.

There's an empty nursing pen. Su Ping placed the Small Skeleton in the stalagmite array.

“System, this free breastfeeding pen costs 10 coins per hour. What can he do?” Su Ping asked out of curiosity.

It was not a cheap price to hire a pet daycare service with 10 coins per hour.

“Free breastfeeding pen made with used spirit stone. The remaining spirit energy and the complex and confusing radiation of the used minerals can help a pet grow. There is a high probability that pets can mutate, ”System explains.

"Change?"

Su Ping was surprised.

Regardless of evolution, with environmental differences, there is a small chance that pets could mutate.

As for the mutation, it implies that the pet will be a completely different species.

It may become a new and more powerful species, or it may degenerate into a failed species.

Some war zones with extremely harsh environments, rife with destruction and technological waste, are the most likely places to breed mutant beasts.

Most mutant animals will carry agents with unknown diseases, which will most likely cause outbreaks or form large-scale viral attacks.

Such cases can be deadly to the general public. Thus, in most cases, “ mutated pets” are words that can cause panic.

At the same time, in scientific pet research, people never stop inducing mutations in pets. Many of the well-known ninth rank pets in the Federation are the result of mutations by scientific method. The pets were adept at fighting; they had also been successfully bred as a new species!

"Are pets mutating in slots good or bad?" Su Ping consulted the system.

System provide short answer, “Half and half. It is recommended for the host to upgrade the maintenance cage into a basic maintenance cage, in order to avoid damage to the reputation of the store. ”

Su Ping curled his lips.

Fortunately, he thought about asking this question.

"Please and improve."

Without hesitation, Su Ping made a decision.

First of all, after the increase, the rent will be 10 times higher and other benefits will appear. Second, he was unable to deal with the possibility of a failed mutation.

Hurting the pets of its customers and quarreling with them would damage the reputation of the store. The system doesn't give him a free nursing pen. The system planted the evil bomb!

Lucky for him, he had just made a quick buck. Besides, the business has not been good in the past few days. Nothing happened.

20 Energy points.

Suddenly, a hazy white light shone over the two old stalagmite arrays. When the white light was scattered, he discovered that the stalagmite array had a new appearance. The arrangement was practically the same; they used the same sharp stone but the color of each stalagmite was completely different from before.

Previously, the cracks were as if they were built with rough rocks in dim and gloomy colors. But then, stalagmites are like ivory, full of life.

"Now we talk."

Su Ping was satisfied.

But her heart started to hurt, because she remembered that this basic nursing pen would spend one point of energy for treatment every day.

It burned a hole in his pocket.

In an instant, less than 100 energy points remained of the original 315.

“I have to make use of the available time to get energy points. I still need to upgrade the Chaos Spirit Pool. ”

Su Ping was filled with anticipation at the thought of the effects that a third rank Chaos Spirit Pool could bring. If he could breed pets with the Beast King bloodline, the act of displaying pets in a store could attract a large group of customers!

"Is there anyone inside?" someone shouted from outside the shop.

Su Ping felt that the voice was familiar. He rushed out of the pet room in the back.

Two beautifully dressed girls stood by the door, looking around carefully.

"What?"

Su Ping immediately recognized one of the girls when he saw her. It was the girl who came for the Lightning Rat.

"Is the owner here?" su Yanying asked near the door. He looked inside the shop, confused.

"Yingying, are you sure this is the place?"

Lan Lele, who was wearing a thin skirt, came along. After seeing the obscure and humiliating little shop, Lan Lele found it hard to believe that this genius Lightning Rat had been trained here.

“This is the place!”

Su Yanying was sure. "This place must have something to do with the changes to my Lightning Rat!"

He gradually had a better understanding after the preliminary contest; there was indeed something strange about his Lightning Rat.

After being visited and questioned by his teacher and class advisor, he realized how powerful the Lightning Rat was!

It could be considered a coincidence if the Lightning Rat had only learned one advanced pet skill. But no one would think of this after seeing how the Lightning Rat could use two such skills.

He drove his teacher from the stench; after all, he was not so sure. However, he knew that this might have something to do with the pet store where he left his Lightning Rat for a temporary ride.

Before that, the Lightning Rat was quite ordinary and had never come into contact with anything before living in a pet store. With such an analysis, he believed the only variable in the equation was the pet shop!
