Cristina Who Surrender

Cristina was indeed welcomed but she felt uncomfortable being in the palace. She couldn't stand the strict rules she had to live by all day let alone Norman introducing herself as empress. So many rules that he must obey and must not break, some thick books that had no thickness were roughly piled up on the table and all of those books contained everything he had to do and what he did not.

All the rules that he had to learn were also in the book, every day he had to do many things and as a layman, he had to do many things, he could not bear to do everything he had to do every day so Cristina had given up even though she had only been in the palace for a few days. It turned out that it was not easy living inside the palace, everything he saw was far from his shadow. He thought living inside the palace was so fun but it turned out, it was hard enough to live.

As she did, Cristina was taught to walk gracefully. He also has to learn many things as well as manners. She'll be queen later so she must be the perfect queen for Norman. Cristina really can't stand it anymore, she's sure not only that she can't stand it because she's sure Freya won't stand it either because she's a freedom-loving person.

No way, he didn't want to stay too long in that palace anymore because he was afraid of going crazy. It was enough to be an ordinary person and he was already satisfied. He was just about to leave, he really couldn't bear it and he was sure that in a moment he would really go crazy if he stayed in that palace for too long.

"Where is Mister, um, Norman?" christina asked a servant who was in the room where she was at the moment.

"Your Majesty is having guests."

"May I meet, just for a moment" Cristina pinta.

"After your training is over."

"Please, just for a second," Cristina pleaded.

"You can see her later, Miss!"

"All right!" Cristina could only resign and follow the lessons she was doing. Both legs hurt, he really couldn't stand what he was doing right now. After this he no longer wanted to, he gave up.

Cristina waited patiently until she was done with the strenuous exercise she was doing. Being a queen turned out to be very heavy and she did not want to be a queen or even though she was just playing a show but she did not want to extend her play. Norman went to see Cristina after he heard Cristina wanted to see him. He did it to make it look as if he cared.

"I heard you were looking for me, what's wrong?" ask Norman. He ordered the servants to leave so that no one would hear their conversation.

"Sir, have you found Miss Freya's whereabouts?" ask Cristina.

"Yet, Kendrick didn't find her whereabouts, but you don't have to worry, I think she's safe and she's hiding herself."

"I hope so, sir. But there's something I'm trying to tell you."

"Master, I'm sorry. I can't help you anymore."

"What do you mean, Cristina?"

"I can no longer, sir. After all I am a layman and I am not used to this kind of life. I'm just an ordinary person, I really don't understand the ordinances of living in the palace so I'm sorry that I can't help you anymore."

"So you're leaving?" ask Norman.

"I really can't, I'm sorry. Palace life doesn't suit me, I'd rather be a commoner who isn't bound by many rules. I'm sorry, Sir. Please let me go, I'll go back to Miss's house and wait for her there. I'll definitely let you know if Miss Freya comes back but trust me,  Miss Freya is a freedom-loving person and I don't think she's going to want to be in the palace much less with the many rules she doesn't like the most."

Norman kept silent and thought about Cristina's words. Did Freya deliberately eliminate the traces because of this? But Freya has never known her true identity, but what if it turns out Freya already knows? Somehow he suddenly suspected that Freya already knew his true identity and then he deliberately pretended to die when he fell into the river because he did not want to follow him but why did Freya do such a thing?

Wasn't Freya's precious stone on him? It was not that the precious thing was that stone and the artifact he had but why did he hide himself as if nothing mattered anymore? Is it because his father is gone or is there anything more valuable than that.

"Sir, why didn't you answer me?" ask Cristina. He hoped Norman would let himself go because he was not fit to be in the palace and he could not.

"If that's what you want, I don't forbid. Someone's gonna take you back to America so you don't have to worry."

"Thank you, Mister. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but a layman like this I am, is not really worthy of being in the palace. All you deserve is a woman equal to you and Miss Freya is not worthy. A king had to marry a noble daughter who knew all manners in order to be the perfect queen so I guess, you don't have to wait for Miss because she definitely won't want to be in the palace let alone be your queen with so many rules. I'm sorry if I'm presumptuous, I hope you didn't spend time waiting for Miss let alone we don't know how things are going. Whether he's alive, or not!"

"I know, Cristina. Thank you for the advice you gave, if indeed Freya did not want to be with me because of our different status, I did not insist but I just wanted to meet her only so if she did come back, if she did, please call me. Your journey will be arranged tomorrow and from now on you won't have to do what you don't like anymore!"

"Thank you, sir," Cristina said.

Norman stepped away, out of the room where Cristina was. What Cristina said was indeed very true, who deserved to be his wife was a noble daughter, not a thief who always did anything as he pleased. Was Freya really deliberately hiding so that she wouldn't bring him to the palace? However, he had already told Freya that he wanted to take Freya.

Norman rubbed his face, it did not matter if Freya did not want to be in the palace but just once, just one time he really wanted to meet with Freya and talk to her. He wants to hear from Freya's own mouth whether Freya really does not want to be with him or something else that Freya considers.

I hope that opportunity exists. He'll wait, he'll wait, one year or two he will wait even three years he will wait but if it is more than that then he will not wait anymore because he has responsibilities. I hope Kendrick finds Freya or Freya coming to him soon.
