Freya waits for an answer from Norman, hoping the man is generous to let go of her. The handgun was still in his hand, he would beg the man to return his artifact.
Norman was still silent, he was just struggling with his curiosity. It didn't feel like believing what the woman was saying but seeing the expression shown by Freya, she knew the foreign woman was not lying.
Freya is shocked when Norman releases the gun in hand and steps back. The strange man did nothing, Freya even turned to look at Norman who stepped towards the sofa and flopped there. Is that all? Is that strange man going to return his artifact?
"Where's my thing?" freya asked as she walked closer to Norman.
"It's safe with me, and I'll give it back later!"
"What do you mean? I want that thing right now that's why I came to make an exchange with you and this?" Freya took out Norman's bag that she had hidden in the back pocket of her pants, "This is yours, I didn't see the contents and didn't take anything in it so give me back my things!" freya Pinta.
"No, I won't return it until I truly believe whether what you said about the artifact is true or not!"
"It belongs to my father, I have proof!" Freya took out a photo of her father in the newspaper when she discovered the artifact in Egypt.
"You can see that" Freya said, putting a picture of her father before Norman, "That's my father, he's a scientist, and that's a photo of my father finding the artifact in Egypt!"
Norman saw what Freya gave him. Indeed the image of a scientist with the artifact but it does not prove if the photo is really a photo of his father moreover he will not believe just with a piece of photo only. Noman put the photo without saying anything, of course it makes Freya very surprised.
"How about you, now you trust me, don't you?"
"No!" one word uttered by Norman really made Freya angry.
"What's? Wh why? I've already shown you the evidence but why don't you believe it at all?" angry shouting.
"It's just a piece of newspaper you can get anywhere to be evidence then how can I trust a piece of that newspaper? Do you think I'm a fool you can fool?" said Norman.
"That's real evidence that my father found her, what else can't you believe?" Freya was really upset, she was so unlucky to be involved with the man.
"I can't believe that the man in the paper was your father because it was possible to trick me, you took someone else's picture and then you deliberately confessed that it was your father!"
"Geez, I really don't believe this!" freya is upset. He seemed to have run out of words but he still carried another piece of photo.
"That's a picture of me and my dad and if you don't believe it either, I'm really going crazy about meeting a guy like you!" freya said annoyed as she threw the last photo she had brought onto the table.
Norman took the photo and looked at it and, as he had done, he showed an expression of disbelief and again threw the photo on the table.
"I can't believe it!" said it.
"What?" freya's two hands were already tightly clenched, she really did not expect to meet such a strange man in her life. Really, he misses going to do research instead of spending time with that super duper shitty guy.
"I told you, didn't I? I won't return the thing to you until I prove whether it really belongs to my father or not!"
Breathing heavily in the breath, Freya was completely out of words. He had already provided evidence but the man still did not believe him. Now, what does the man want to prove?
"Please prove it, I won't prevent but remember one thing, as long as you don't return it to me then I won't leave. If you dare to report me to the police, then I will drag you along and believe me, there have been many thefts I have committed and you know how many years you will be in prison with me, wasn't he? Even if I get caught, but I won't be alone so please report if you dare!"
"How dare you threaten me?" Norman looked at Freya with a displeased look, "Don't you know who I am?" shouted again.
"I don't care who you are. You want the son of a sultan, a prince or a king though, I don't care because all I know is that you're the most annoying guy I've ever met. Though you can simply return the artifact then it's all done and we'll never see each other again!"
"You really think after that I won't be chased as if the police let me go? Didn't you see what you were doing in Hawaii and didn't you see any news developments that happened after you scrambled Bishop's museum?"
Freya was silent because she had not seen the news that occurred after she escaped from the police and of course after she decided to return to New York to wait for the arrival of the man.
"Don't you know if my sketches are getting more similar? It won't be long, I'll be a fugitive because of you. After I returned the thing, you just left while I was? When the sketch of my face made by the police is done, then I will be the fugitive and you have destroyed my reputation so don't you think it's all done with me giving you the artifact!"
"I-I'm sorry about that," Freya lowered her head, she didn't want to involve anyone but the man actually got involved because of her.
"Is apologizing able to solve the problem? I think you know the answer is no!"
"I know no but give me some time, I told you I don't mind going to jail or anything as long as I can find my father's whereabouts. If you want to keep that thing, go ahead but don't stop me from finding my missing father. When my father finds it, you'll believe that it belongs to my father who was stolen by a group of irresponsible people and sent to a museum. I'm just taking back my father's belongings so don't make it difficult for me. I'll take responsibility for everything I do and I'll clear your name but later after I find out where my father is!" freya Pinta.
"What reason do you have that I should trust you if you're gonna clear my name?" ask Norman.
"I swore I would do it after I discovered my father's whereabouts" Freya said in a reassuring tone.
"Alright, but I don't like it too long because I'm enjoying my vacation so you have to get me involved in this!"
"What?" Freya seemed to not understand.
"Involve me in the mission of finding your father to be found quickly and after that, don't forget your words to surrender and clear your name but the artifact I still hold!"
"Well, if that's what you want. I'm not asking you to get involved in my problems but you want to!" freya agreed.
"I was forced, so you wouldn't run and not cheat me because when you're done, I'll pull you to the police station!"
Freya was silent, looking at Norman with an unhappy look. What a calculating man. It turned out that was the reason why the man wanted to get involved but let it be, maybe with the help of the man he could immediately find the whereabouts of his father and find the stone that his father hid. This way he could know who the real enemy was so that he could free his father but the enemy he would face later was not just anyone.
