Chapter 25: Asking for Help

While in the elevator, Vegas frowned confused, either just his feelings or something was wrong with Helena. "Are you okay?" vegas asked as he turned to Helena who lowered her head in such a way that only her long hair had been unraveled covering her face.

Helena just nodded her head while glancing a little at Vegas. When the elevator door opened quickly Helena got out of the elevator first, Vegas, increasingly confused by Helena's attitude, comes out of the elevator and follows Helena, who walks quickly to the meeting room. "Are you sure you're okay?" ask Vegas back.

"Yes, of course I'm fine! Come quickly you come in, I have to go to the toilet first," Helena said with a stiff smile and a little breathing relief because Jeff did not come down on this floor.

"Alright, then don't be long, I'll wait inside before the meeting starts" explained Vegas who went straight into the room.

Helena who needs to calm herself down first immediately walked to find the toilet on this floor, she had to wash her face to get back refreshed and focus on her work.

After finishing washing her face, Helena came back out and walked towards the meeting room, but when Helena was about to arrive a little more, Jeff came out from behind the wall that was near the elevator. "It turns out to be you, right" Jeff said as he stepped closer to Helena who looked stiff and nervous again. "Zack and your Daddy are worried and looking for you there, Helena. What are you doing here? Do you know everything's so overwhelmed?"

Helena shook her head, she approached Jeff staring at the man with a pleading face. "Jeff, I beg you not to tell anyone this, I'm just a few days away, I'm going back to Venezuela. There's something I want to finish here first" Helena said trying to negotiate for Jeff to keep his mouth shut. Jeff is a college friend of Helena who immediately got a job at her internship place first, he said, that is the family-owned company Zack and it was a little helped by Helena by persuading her Daddy to include the friends of Campus Helena in the company for an internship, but because the company already had enough interns, some of Helena's friends were eventually put into the Zack family company. The friend that Helena was referring to was certainly not a close friend, rather a friend who approached Helena when they were in need of Helena alone.

Vegas had a small chat with some of the people in the meeting room, as Vegas saw the shadow of Helena visible from inside the opaque glass of the Vegas room frowning deeply, he saw Helena as if silent for a moment and then not a long time a man came and they were seen talking, Helena was seen advancing and approaching the man, helena's body gestures seemed unsettled and it made Vegas even more sure if something was wrong with Helena. "In a moment, I have to go out first and meet my assistant" Vegas politely said.

Vegas stood up from his seat, he walked towards the door and upon opening it Vegas could hear the man's voice as if tired with a look of anger. "I can't promise, I can get into big trouble if I hide your whereabouts."

"No, I'm really—"

"Is there a problem?" vegas asked out of the room and found the two people staring at him simultaneously.

"Ti—no," replied Helena stiffly, making the suspicion and curiosity of Vegas instantly appear.

"Then let's go in, the meeting will start soon," said Vegas impressed ketus. I don't know, it felt a little angry and upset that Helena seemed to be covering something up from him.
